Great for a coffee but don’t bother getting a sandwich as it will knock you back £9! And wasn’t anything special. Shocking..

Called in for a carry out coffee and a bag of my favourite Torres Jamon Iberico Crisps. I’d also discovered online you could order a cheese box for one!! Love their cheese boxes, great value and super tasty whether as a single or family gatherings. Their cakes and pastries are delicious and it’s always fab to pick up a couple of croissants 🥐 for Sunday breakfast.

We called in unexpectedly on a very wet day enroute to the airport. We were warmly welcomed and received excellent service. Lovely, interesting salads with fresh ingredients and great soup. Loved the berry scones, especially as not over sweet. Plenty to choose from and takeaway is also possible. There is also a good cheese counter here. I would thoroughly recommend calling in.

We were staying in a local hotel & due to renovations breakfast was not available. But literally a few steps away is the fantastic Guillemot Café. Wonderful food & friendly service made it an easy choice for us to have our breakfast there, on both mornings of our stay. As it's bijou, we had to queue on Sunday morning for a table, but it was well worth it. We also bought some of the delicious scones in their sister business, a deli & gourmet shop.

Called in for a coffee whilst on a coastal walk. Our hosts are regulars, so we got a very friendly welcome. The coffees were good and although we didn’t partake of them , the cakes and pastries looked delicious. The cafe also offers a small delicatessen section.

Lovely wee cafe with a deli nearby. Catered for coeliac disease and lots of gluten free options but more importantly an awareness of not just ingredients but also cross contamination. Soup and gf bread and freshly squeezed orange juice. The staff are just the best. Great atmosphere in a tiny space.

Came here for breakfast before setting off on a big walk.. what an amazing little find! The french toast was absolutely incredible as was the big breakfast! Coffee was of a high standard. Even got some cakes to take away. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Good covid measures in place. Wish we could come back, would highly recommend!

A Bangor Gem! This little duo cafe is located on Bangor seafront and offers customers a fresh and artisan menu at a very reasonable price. The deli section is full of local produce you can buy and take home and the menus in both cafes are full of choice and unique flavour with different specials offered every week. The Guinness wheaten is a firm favourite and french toast. They do amazing breakfast brunch options and is a very popular spot. Good for vegans lots of options. Be prepared to queue especially parties bigger than 2 but definitely worth the wait.

Tried the Guillemot for lunch last month for the first time and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend the Guillemot for lovely food and wine and when you have finished, go next door and buy some cheese. Another excellent place in Bangor.

Popped in for coffee and traybakes. We loved the Rice Krispie Mars traybake especially. Not many places use proper good branded chocolate now, but thankfully the Guillemot still use good chocolate. A very busy wee place, but worth the wait

What can I say about this place? It’s hard to find a reason to visit the big city of Bangor and in-fact I used to find reasons not to visit but this Bar has changed all that and I now welcome the pilgrimage up to Costa Del Bangor like many Belfast inhabitants enjoyed before me in the heady summer days of the 60’s. Ginge’s is the perfect infusion of Aladdins Cave and Willy Wonkas chocolate factory and will have you going down a rabbit hole Alice herself would have marvelled at. A place where amazement and wonder are around every corner due to the atmosphere casually swinging from one of being on a special ops mission behind enemy lines with a crack team of Bangor veterans trying to compete a poker hand to one of casually chilling in front of an open fire with live music resembling days gone by whilst having craic and prime ministers questions with clientele you simply wouldn’t come across in your normal everyday life. From Olympians, musicians, tech savvy professionals and Dothraki bloodriders, Ginges has it all under one roof. Add to this an owner bringing in guest chefs to cook up bbq fare fitting of its surroundings and you found a niche in the hospitality sector. Ham hocks, lamb legs, sides of beef and multiple corn snacks are laid down in a feast fitting of a banqueting table of the tudors themselves. A unique experience indeed and one not to be passed up
