If Carlsberg did intimate and atmospheric burger nights........this would be the place , proving that local rather than global is best

Popped into this lovely little cafe for the first time on sunday. We had a warm greeting from the start. I ordered the Chicken and bacon caeser salad bowl which was very tasty indeed. The menu looks great and we will do be back fo breakfast . Great value and ambience. Highly recommended. .

Having heard many positive vibes we took a look. It is VERY small, so wasn't particularly comfortable, and i think you could get about 10/12 people in at the most.. The coffee is Root and Branch, so you can take or leave that. I found it a bit bitter, but that is personal preference. The food whilst absolutely fine, is nothing exceptional, and no different to nearly every other pop-up type café. A proliferation of soup, eggs, sourdough, bacon, oats pancakes, etc..etc... Its more likely I'd pop in if it were local to me, rather than return as a destination.

This is my second time visiting with my daughter. We both had the breakfast. She had with halloumi and bacon I had with just bacon. They were delicious. This is a great wee establishment where the food is cooked fresh. Lovely atmosphere, not very big but u can see customers return for the quality and service from the staff. My coffee was great and we both enjoy our breakfasts! It’s good to see a local business doing well and I hope they continue to grow!

Have been to the Drawing Room many times and absolutely love it! Food and beverages are fab and locally sourced which is even better. Decor is handmade, i.e. they did everything themselves. I recommend the White Chocolate hot chocolate it is yummy!

We have been back here quite a bit, your first visit won't be your last. We are fussy about our coffee and The Drawing Room does this very well. The food is absolutely great. I have tried the halloumi breakfast, pudding & poachers and the breakfast burrito. They are all very tasty but my favourite is probably the breakfast burrito. Ask for some extra napkins with this one as it's a bit of a messy job, well it is for me. The back pudding is made in Bangor so it doesn't get more local than that. The fact that they use Vegware (bio-degradable take away cups) is a massive plus. The staff are lovely but the biggest problem is getting a seat. Get in early to get your spot.

I could ramble on an on about the food, the staff, the atmosphere, the coffees, and the premises, blah blah blah, really whats the point. Is that going to make you visit. Mike an Nina have got it just right. This place has the X factor that others seem to lack. Busy or not (which is rare) it’s like coming home. Hey don’t believe me. To sum it all up in one word. ..............Hmmmmmmmm...................not possible, So much for my high school education. Come see for yourself and see if you can manage the one word sum up.

Fantastic food, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. Its very cosy so room is limited but for that adds to the charm. Bangor has some great cafes but this is a favourite for me.

Every now and then, there’s a special event like tonight’s Tapas Night. The team must have worked hard to produce the amazing themed meal, served in a very friendly atmosphere. Eight tapas courses, each superbly flavoured and well presented. Thoroughly recommended.

We've decided to try different restaurants for breakfast/brunch on a weekly basis and the Drawing Room has been the best so far. Great food and great staff. It would be lovely to see them move somewhere slightly bigger so they could have more comfortable chairs and more elbow room :-)

Perfect in every way. This tiny place has friendly, helpful staff, a super cosy atmosphere and an excellent menu. All produce is locally sourced and cooked on the spot. Menu includes everything from porridge to various savoury dishes. Today I opted for Salmon and egg Benedict on toasted bagel ( sourdough and brioche also available. My husband chose The Drawing Room special which included bacon, poached eggs and avocado salsa. He asked for Halloumi as well. ....in fact the staff are so flexible they’ll cook you anything if ingredients are available! Coffee, speciality teas and super cakes also on the menu. Special nights take place occasionally and I love the way the tips go to various local charities. A welcome always guaranteed.

What can I say about this place? It’s hard to find a reason to visit the big city of Bangor and in-fact I used to find reasons not to visit but this Bar has changed all that and I now welcome the pilgrimage up to Costa Del Bangor like many Belfast inhabitants enjoyed before me in the heady summer days of the 60’s. Ginge’s is the perfect infusion of Aladdins Cave and Willy Wonkas chocolate factory and will have you going down a rabbit hole Alice herself would have marvelled at. A place where amazement and wonder are around every corner due to the atmosphere casually swinging from one of being on a special ops mission behind enemy lines with a crack team of Bangor veterans trying to compete a poker hand to one of casually chilling in front of an open fire with live music resembling days gone by whilst having craic and prime ministers questions with clientele you simply wouldn’t come across in your normal everyday life. From Olympians, musicians, tech savvy professionals and Dothraki bloodriders, Ginges has it all under one roof. Add to this an owner bringing in guest chefs to cook up bbq fare fitting of its surroundings and you found a niche in the hospitality sector. Ham hocks, lamb legs, sides of beef and multiple corn snacks are laid down in a feast fitting of a banqueting table of the tudors themselves. A unique experience indeed and one not to be passed up
