The Rinka is my childhood ice cream shop. It has really unique flavours like toffee apple during autum. The prices seem to be fixed as they haven’t been changed in years. The Rinka has plenty of affordable sweets and my favourite toys I had as a kid. All I have else to say is that everytime I go there I am hit with nastalga, yet it is still up to date.

This is a really nice family run pub which serves the best food on the Antrim coast. We’ve been coming here for years and it never disappoints Their chicken stack is by far the best I’ve had - and I’ve had a few! The warm chicken and bacon salad is also delicious. All still very good value!

I recently visited Taste Coffee in Larne located in Murrayfield, and I must say, it's a standout spot! With complete Countryside vibes From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff made us feel right at home. They proudly shared that their green beans coffee is locally sourced, and you can really taste the difference in each sip. The coffee was expertly crafted—rich, smooth, and packed with flavor. We also indulged in some of their pastries and chips, and it was "yumm yumm yumm" all the way! Fresh, flavorful, and the perfect complement to our coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great place to relax. If you're in Larne, this is hands down the best cafe around. Highly recommend stopping by for a real coffee treat!

Carriages Bistro, Larne 4th August 2024 There are a number of conflicting reviews about this place. When we ate there, the previously-mentioned problems were very much in evidence. The service was lackadaisical, with waitresses too busy exchanging local gossip to pay attention to guests. At the end of our meal, I had to stand up and find a waitress in order to pay my bill. (We’d finished our meal 10 minutes earlier). The food: I had Scampi and “creamed potato”. Creamed potatoes were mentioned before in this review site. Mine were barely warm, and lumpy. I have known how to make creamed potatoes since I was 10 years old. It’s hard to believe that anyone on the island of Ireland does not know how to prepare this simple potato dish. I asked for carrots and peas as my vegetables. The carrots were at room temperature. The peas were tinned processed peas – almost unheard of in this day and age. They reminded me of school lunches in the ‘60s. I must say, however, that my scampi was delicious. I’ve seen some good and bad reviews of this place – an equal balance between hit and miss. Our night was a miss. Maybe a manager or a team leader was missing, or (and) maybe a head chef was missing. Poor service; poor food standard.

The bar lounge felt dated and there were many young adolescent drinking. To make matters worse the live singer was too loud and drowned out our dining. The food itself was undercooked and nothing special. On leaving we were greeted to a fight in the car park between two young men one who was clearly drunk. I could not recommend unless the management get proper professional staff and bouncers in there.

I really liked their apple pie, had a pot of tea with it. Islandmagee is well worth exploring, from the stone dolmen to the beach at Brown's Bay, to Portmuck Harbour or the views north of the glens. Having a café is vital for tourists who need a pit-stop. Locals love it, too, the play park outside is very popular. Lots inside, a museum, shop, the café, toilets, and a big hall for events.

Staffing problem is big here food takes forever to come out ! If you’re in a hurry don’t go here as waiting time is ridiculous.

Stopped by as passing through Larne and wanted a coffee and a light vegan snack. Many other cafes in this area only offer typical fried or greasy spoon type offerings but was delighted to find two vegan options here! Owner Andy, was really friendly and chatted to me too and let me park in the business space. 🚗 Also gave me great tourist advice 🙏 I was disappointed to see Seven empty when I visited on a Tuesday lunch... This needn't have be the case though as they do lovely vegan options and I can really recommend the Butternut squash curry which they do kindly did with a side of veg! Not overpowering or oily at all and would return for this! Good job 👩🍳 Can confirm other comments however, that it needs a bit of a refurb and attention to small details like worn papers/notices on the bar/menu, broken flusher and standard of repair, and maybe some better vegetable side variety. Please Consider posting the menu outside too or on the board, and list on Google Maps as searching in the area for somewhere to go for lunch doesn't show Seven 🙁. I'd literally not have seen this if I wasn't walking by which is a shame. Minor point, I found the coffee a little bland so something for improvement; maybe use as a basis for marketing if using a local or known roaster perhaps? More promotion on the Insta even. Great little place, guys and delicious healthy, vegan 🌿food. Just needs some visibility! Would recommend overall.
