Had a full English breakfast it came well presented, hot and appetising, fresh coffee, home made cakes made by the owner, seating out front and back in lovely courtyard, everyone welcome, dogs allowed. Local honey sold there and jams really good selection. Can't wait to go back. Staff were so friendly and welcoming thank you.

The Riverside provides excellent food time and time again. The ingredients used in the dishes, both savoury and sweet, are of a high quality and new fail to please. The coffee, including the decaf, is equally as good too. Today we enjoyed a bacon and a vegan roll (even though I am not vegan it is so super tasty) followed a pistachio and courgette cake with passion fruit curd and Maltesers malteser tiffin, all fully recommended.

Outstanding warm genuine welcome from the owners who deliver great service with Yorkshire smiles and fayre to match the atmosphere. Lovely bee theme inside from cosy knee blankets if needed to crockery to tables all to match . Yorkshire Tea ( of course) with pot of hot water and cakes / scones to delight and excite

Decided to pop in for my pitstop on the bike.I usually have my cycle stop in Threshfield but glad I made that left turn.Quality hot chocolate + nice fruit toast with cheese, oh + none of this messing about with giving you 1 of them silly mini margarines that you couldn’t butter a breadcrumb with, but ample ‘proper’ butter to go with it.Real friendly as well. As Arnie says”I’ll be back”

Me and the lads stumbled upon this place mid way through our Simon Seat hike and I must say, we’ve never come across such a welcoming team, especially Lee! The food was outstanding and the customer service was exceptional! Will definitely return, keep up the great work from the Halifax Lads!

Lovely place for an ice cream and we got the weather. Loads of flavors to try, including bubble gum if you fancy. Good portion for the price. Delicious. Highly recommended.

Loved the Burnsall room, very clean plenty of tea and coffee. Fresh milk and large bottle of water in fridge in corridor for each room. Nice toiletries in bathroom. Nice evening meal home made steak pie with mash, vegetables and gravy. Absolutely ***** bread and butter pudding with poached rhubarb on top with custard. Excellent breakfast for me - chose bacon, sausage, tomato and scrambled eggs with plenty of toast and jams. Always a good stay and did a winter offer of two nights. Was perfect as a stop off point from Northumberland back to Cheshire. Family run hotel and never disappointed when I have stayed and why they get my repeated business.

Wow what a beautiful breakfast in a lovely setting, we called this morning as a family of 4 with a 6 month old baby as well , we were a little worried the pram wouldn’t fit but the owner couldn’t have been more helpful, absolute gem of a place with gorgeous food and really great coffee ( I’m a nightmare with my coffee) Lovely owners and nothing was too much trouble

They say in these parts that God is a Yorkshireman. Well he certainly left a piece of heaven in Appletreewick in the shape of the New Inn. All the team are friendly and helpful, and the chef is an artist who uses food as his chosen medium. We will be back!
