I'd been looking forward to eating here. Independent and serving the local industrial/retail area. The staff were friendly efficient and business like I ordered "Brunch ". Bacon sausage egg beans chips bread and butter. The cafe was fairly quiet so I anticipated piping hot freshly cooked food. It was the opposite., with the exception of the fried egg. The remainder was luke warm and the bacon rock hard. Such a disappointment. I'm guessing I was just unlucky. Unfortunately in this business every meal has to be pretty well perfect to generate repeat business. I wish the ladies well but won't be visiting again.

Can’t thank you enough for the cock inn for there hospitality, especially as we traveled from Kent to watch our beloved Gillingham, what more do you want from a pub that is friendly, cooks you up food for free and what an excellent service if I lived in this town I would appreciate This pub, staff can’t do enough for you, definitely one off the best pubs I’ve been in, within 20 years of travelling away with my football team! You’re pub is superb and keep up the good work look forward to come back again

Called here for a brew on our return from a hospital appointment and ending up having Breakfast! We have passed this cafe many times without calling! We found out this morning just what we have been missing! A warm friendly welcome, a good hearty breakfast and a good cup of tea for a reasonable price. what more could you ask?

This converted school house is really lovely dog friendly place near The Stiperstones. The fresh homemade cakes (we had bara brith and scones) were fabulous and tea was served in china cups and saucers! It sells a wide range of walking books as well as nice local craft items (tea towels, candles, jewellery etc). We were served by the very friendly Rita, who pampered our two dogs and chatted to us about hers. An unexpected little gem, especially on a wet and dreary July afternoon! Thank you.

Spoilt what was a great business only 6 months ago. Prices have increased beyond what’s justifiable for a quick lunch and menu is a fraction of what it was. Such a shame as we were regulars. Not been for 6 months but won’t be returning. Sorry but you need to go back to old store and do what you used to be brilliant at. Customers happy to pay a bit more to support a good cafe.

Shrewsbury has many secret and special offerings but as a porridge fanatic, Cups Coffee and Creators provides a direct, fibre-optic connection to heaven. Please, please, please, choose their Biscoff/Caramel version. It is the most divine energy substance in the discovered cosmos. If questioned, pretend there is a Scottish side of your family tree and sprinkle a little salt on it. Performing this discrete, Mason-like ettiquette, notifies the serving-staff that you merit special treatment from that point forward. You'll remember how good the BCP tasted for the rest of your life in much the same way that you might recall precisely where you were, the moment Donald Trump first stepped-foot on the planet of Jupiter. In October 2024, there was talk of removing the Biscoff/Caramel topping option due to local-council regulations. With your support, this absurdity can be turned around and Shrewsbury could become the Biscoff/Caramel Porridge Capital of the World, where pilgrims will humbly queue from the renovating train station (due for completion in 2094), all the way up the hill, past the castle and into Cups (if you reach Marks & Spencer, you've gone too far, go back a bit). Cups features in-built, charming and welcoming staff (not for sale), who pro-actively extend friendliness and courtesy to all. It's a safe place for everyone, particularly mothers with children, dog owners (with dogs), laptop workers and other carbon-based life-forms, like myself, with mental irregularities. From its corner vantage-point on Castle Street, Cups is a great people-watching location allowing the monitoring of network-traffic flowing in and out of Shrewsbury's river-looped town centre along this (one of only three) Tarmac Access Gateway (TAG). Cups Coffee and Creators is hospitable to community groups and activities as well.

I booked this for my 50th birthday - firstly because I used to play golf at Church Stretton and so have many fond memories of being there as a kid, and secondly because we'd been there for a tapas evening previously and the food was fantastic. Everything that Rita made for the grazing table/buffet was amazing (especially the home-made scotch eggs). It also looked amazing and the birthday cake was delicious. Ben and his team gave great friendly service from behind the bar and ensured that all of our guests had a great time. There was a large screen TV, so we also managed to have the Word Cup rugby on. Nothing was too much trouble. We hired a local singer, who they managed to make room for in addition to the 75+ guests. Highly recommended as a venue. It was so much cozier/nicer than a village hall, and it was great to have the whole place to ourselves which you don't get at a pub/restaurant. This was in winter and so it was dark outside, but in summer it has lovely views over the town

Picked this course as near where we were staying. A lovely welcoming place, staff helpful to out of area visitors happily recommending restaurants in the area, Sammy I particular went out of her way by writing a whole list of places for us. The owner Angela was lovely once again very helpful. They have a good range of both ladies and men’s clothing etc which it was great to rummage through. Club house spotlessly clean and tidy with a lovely balcony area which overlooks the 1st tee and fairway. The course is immaculate, greens superb. It’s is parkland so open fairways but some tricky holes which hidden greens. Throughly enjoyed this course.

We were in Highley on tuesday 22nd May and decided we would try the new cafe in the Severn centre. We ordered, i had the breakfast my wife had the prawn salad. we both agread that the food was good and well presented. We had to wait a short while but as it was being cooked fresh we did'nt mind we had a drink while we waited. we used to go before the new people took it over, it was good then, but i think it has improved. we will definately be visiting again.

Stopped off in Market Drayton on way back to Chester. Came across this superb pub. Great ale, great customers and landord and great building. Not to many places like this around any more. Already planning a trip over one Saturday so I can stay for more than the one.

A note of thanks to the two young gentlemen for fixing my bicycle yesterday (10/09/22). Dropped in to seek advice with a mechanical issue, expecting the worse. My questions where answered in detail, my bike fixed within 3 minutes and on my way. "Goodness me, what service " Many thanks 👍
