I booked this for my 50th birthday - firstly because I used to play golf at Church Stretton and so have many fond memories of being there as a kid, and secondly because we'd been there for a tapas evening previously and the food was fantastic. Everything that Rita made for the grazing table/buffet was amazing (especially the home-made scotch eggs). It also looked amazing and the birthday cake was delicious. Ben and his team gave great friendly service from behind the bar and ensured that all of our guests had a great time. There was a large screen TV, so we also managed to have the Word Cup rugby on. Nothing was too much trouble. We hired a local singer, who they managed to make room for in addition to the 75+ guests. Highly recommended as a venue. It was so much cozier/nicer than a village hall, and it was great to have the whole place to ourselves which you don't get at a pub/restaurant. This was in winter and so it was dark outside, but in summer it has lovely views over the town

Rita provided a wonderful Grazing Table for a private, afternoon party for 30. The food was plentiful, varied, colourful, delicious and artistically displayed. The homemade birthday cake was delicious and so beautifully presented. So very sorry it was too delicious and we didn't take any photos of the Table. We would highly recommend this venue for a private event, but also great for an all day breakfast after a bracing walk in the Shropshire Hills.

After getting thoroughly soaked on the golf course we popped in here for hot drinks. Nice fresh coffee for £2 and a heart-warming brandy for £3. The members are friendly here as are the bar staff

Hadn't been up to The Links since it re-opened earlier this year. Seems The Clubhouse has been given a bit of a facelift, really nice craft beer (Ironbridge Coracle) and Real Ale (Woods Born and Bres) and a generous portion of chips. Food choices look wholesome, so will pop up with family at some stage. Staff were rushed off their feet which may explain the slightly nervous welcome. We were all Strangers once, before becoming regulars👍

We didn't eat here but after a challenging round of Golf in the crazy British sunshine, we were ready for a beer! Service was very friendly as is the golf club in general and we sat outside and discussed the days play - very mixed.

Another brilliant meal by Dawn - this one had a Scottish theme I had Haggis Scotch Egg for starters and my wife had Salmon Terrine - I then had the Beef option and my wife had Cod in Parma ham with a beautiful sauce. Foll owed by Cheese & biscuits and Trifle finished off with coffee and Scottish Tablets. There was a great atmosphere with Scottish music in the background. The staff were helpful friendly and attentive and the food couldn't be faulted. The view of all the lights of Church Stretton was very pretty. I would recommend The Links to anyone

Looked ok but we changed our mind and decided to go somewhere else, no specific reason didn't go in but thought they probably wouldn't let us take dog in

We met family here for an Easter Sunday lunch. We were not disappointed. I had traditional roast lamb which was served with plentiful veg, both the beef and the pork dishes were well received as was the vegetarian option. We would visit again if we were in the area.

We had a small family get-together for a 70th and couldn't have asked for better service or food. The roasts were great with loads of lovely veg and the puddings were to die for (especially the pavlova!). Thank you!

Have eaten Sunday lunch at The Links on several occasions since Dawn and Mike became proprietors. The quality of food has been consistently excellent. Delicious, plentiful, fresh roast dinners and desserts to die for. Very reasonably priced - why cook at home! Service is friendly and efficient, setting and decor are welcoming and would be happy to take a group of family or friends. Also attended a function at the golf club and the buffet was of a very high standard. Definitely the best Sunday lunch locally.

Fantastic - That's a good description of The Link's Restaurant at CSGC - I went to the Valentines Day Sunday Special lunch with my wife Sally and our two good friends Cath & Jon. Absolutely wonderful - good food - good atmosphere - good value. We all must support Mike and Dawn at the club house - WELL DONE

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far

Honestly the best pub meal I've had in years! The steak and Guinness pie was delicious and chips better than many chippies. How they do that with bargain prices baffles me. Highly recommend

Very very disappointing...we booked for Sunday lunch..big mistake. We were not greeted on arrival, there wasn't even anyone behind the bar for us to let them know we had arrived.... But from there it went downhill....we were put on the smallest table in the furthest corner despite there being lots of much nicer empty tables available..we eventually managed to order drinks and asked to order food..The waitress mumbled something and walked off....a lovely young man delivered our drinks and said the young lady would be back.....when she returned to take our food order we asked what she had said, apparently it was they had lamb....then we tried to order but what she actually meant was they only had lamb nothing else and mostly no veg either...one of our party doesnt eat red meat so lamb wasnt an option but the waitress did nothing to try to help the problem...no offer to check if the kitchen could help.....I really could understand this situation if we were walk ins but we had booked...they knew we were coming....why would you not attempt to provide at least one other choice We drove to Bridgnorth from Shrewsbury to take some family out for a treat and thats the best they could offer....obviously we will not return.
