Shrewsbury has many secret and special offerings but as a porridge fanatic, Cups Coffee and Creators provides a direct, fibre-optic connection to heaven. Please, please, please, choose their Biscoff/Caramel version. It is the most divine energy substance in the discovered cosmos. If questioned, pretend there is a Scottish side of your family tree and sprinkle a little salt on it. Performing this discrete, Mason-like ettiquette, notifies the serving-staff that you merit special treatment from that point forward. You'll remember how good the BCP tasted for the rest of your life in much the same way that you might recall precisely where you were, the moment Donald Trump first stepped-foot on the planet of Jupiter. In October 2024, there was talk of removing the Biscoff/Caramel topping option due to local-council regulations. With your support, this absurdity can be turned around and Shrewsbury could become the Biscoff/Caramel Porridge Capital of the World, where pilgrims will humbly queue from the renovating train station (due for completion in 2094), all the way up the hill, past the castle and into Cups (if you reach Marks & Spencer, you've gone too far, go back a bit). Cups features in-built, charming and welcoming staff (not for sale), who pro-actively extend friendliness and courtesy to all. It's a safe place for everyone, particularly mothers with children, dog owners (with dogs), laptop workers and other carbon-based life-forms, like myself, with mental irregularities. From its corner vantage-point on Castle Street, Cups is a great people-watching location allowing the monitoring of network-traffic flowing in and out of Shrewsbury's river-looped town centre along this (one of only three) Tarmac Access Gateway (TAG). Cups Coffee and Creators is hospitable to community groups and activities as well.

A really good find close to the Park & Ride bus stop at the top of town. Service was welcoming and helpful (husband has some disability) which extended to our dog. A small breakfast for £6 (choose 3 items) was perfect as was the coffee. Lactose intolerance catered for without difficulty. We’ll be back.

The full English was excellent, highly recommended. However, the French toast was advertised as coming with mixed fruit and yogurt- which was basically mixed frozen berries reheated which wasn’t nice. I’d normally expect a description of “mixed fruit” to have some actual fresh fruit in it? Not even a slice of banana for £8 ??

A nice large coffe shop providing decent coffee and teas. Food pretty good too but 50% of the seating is very low coffee tables hence making eating any sort of food when busy extremely difficult. The waitress was lovely and did comment it was awkward for her to serve to such low tables. A seating change would really help in this establishment

I came around 10:30 to get some work done until my lesson at 1:30, im usually very nervous about going out by myself but i was greeted into an amazingly friendly atmosphere with very chirpy and easily approachable staff, my hot chocolate was the best i’ve had in awhile, and the wifi was super fast which made doing my work nice and quick. I would 10/10 highly recommend and i will be coming back!

I had a pleasant experience here, the coffee was very nice, and the staff were friendly. It's ideal for dog owners, as dogs are welcome, and dog biscuits are provided for them. A slight letdown was the 'tablecloth' which was made from pages of books. It was saturated with spilled coffee and sticky, which I found unpleasant. Despite this, not many of the tables had this covering.

We were looking for a wheelchair accessible cafe for a nice lunch and this was perfect for us. Spacious, airy, wide door for access. No steps, everything on one level. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There wasn't a wide range on the menu, mostly breakfast items (available nearly all day), paninis and cakes. There were gluten free options. We tried three different paninis and they were all fresh, tasty and delicious (two were vegetarian). We all had tea to drink. This was loose leaf, served in pots with filters and was plentiful and a good flavour. Different milk options were available at no extra charge. There were dog treats available at the counter (which I think were free?) The toilet was suitable for disabled customers and was spacious, clean and easily accessible. There were also a few craft items, cards, etc available for sale.

Really like the cafe it’s self , however the coffee is not great, and it’s all down to the way you’re warming the milk, the milk is always oversteamed and this makes the coffee less enjoyable , making the milk feel too thin and bubbly. Please teach your staff how to steam the milk for a more velvety texture when having lattes and flat whites! Other than than really enjoy coming here!

Conveniently situated opposite to the Park and Ride bus stop, we called in here for a cup of coffee on our way home. The establishment was clean, light and airy and the staff friendly and welcoming. The coffee was freshly made and tasty. An added bonus was that it is dog friendly.

Nice pub just off the main road. Real ales available. Nice quirky little pub with food being served. Staff were friendly and polite. Beer was good, worth a visit. Enjoyed my visit.

Shared a meal with family here (10 people). Unfortunately we weren't impressed. Communication during booking process needs improvement. Especially for pre-ordered meals. The whole experience just felt a bit rushed. Comments around the table regarding food were either very average or not great. Kids meals, burger and mixed grill were all way overcooked. It's a shame because it's a nice venue with great potential.
