Can’t thank you enough for the cock inn for there hospitality, especially as we traveled from Kent to watch our beloved Gillingham, what more do you want from a pub that is friendly, cooks you up food for free and what an excellent service if I lived in this town I would appreciate This pub, staff can’t do enough for you, definitely one off the best pubs I’ve been in, within 20 years of travelling away with my football team! You’re pub is superb and keep up the good work look forward to come back again

We visited this pub while on a short break. The staff and the locals there were very friendly and welcoming. Typical country pub feeling. It was Friday night,so on top of menu they do fish and chips. We ordered 3 portions of fish, chips and mushy peas. The kind lady that took our order told us that she gets the fish fresh on Fridays and batters it herself. It was amazing! Beautiful light fish (no bones....which is important to me!) So tasty and with all the extras available like tartar sauce etc. A winner with the whole group! Very reasonable bill and at the end of the evening, we are assuming it's the landlady, even helped us to get home as we had planned to walk (as walked there at the start of the night) but she insisted would take too long. She was right....the jouney home was all steep uphill, completely unlit roads and would have taken well over an hour with our full tummies 😊 Defo one I'd recommend. Especially on a Friday if you like fish!

We were staying locally, so went in for dinner. We were the only ones eating here but made to feel very welcome. The landlady & locals very friendly. Food home cooked and tasty, especially liked the homemade pizza. Great value too. Recommend if you're in the area

It's great to see a pub 'on the mend'! Too many pubs are closing, and 'The Cock' could have been one of them. But no, the community has rallied round and Put The Cock Inn back on the map! And deservedly so. It's not at all far from the main A5 and access from the Motorway system, and so well worth a deviation for the traveller. A good selection of Real Ales, well kept. A well kept and well stocked bar. Clean, bright and comfortable. Chatty and cheerful staff, friendly locals and a warm ambience. The bar has a buzz about it. All we need is food for the hungry traveller, and then it will collect the coveted 5 stars. Keep it up, The Cock Inn!

After a bit of a walk we went into the pub, it is compact and bijou, bloody marvellous, friendly locals and amazing priced beer (about £3.50 a pint). We had a few bowls of chops, cheesy and sweet spud, lovely and hot . A really nice atmosphere with a great country feel

We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Cosy pub with friendly staff. The food was extremely reasonably priced and tasty too. Our friend said his meat feast pizza was the best pizza he'd ever had! The pizzas were perfectly cooked in their stone pizza oven. I had the tuna pizza which was delicious. My daughter loved it too. Highly recommend.

Came across this pub, as it was near to hotel were we were staying. The local's were very friendly and a good banter. Juke box had good selection of music including 60's, so just the ticket for us oldies.it became a music 🎶 type quiz night amongst 4 of us. Menu was of varied section, my it was lovely. The Pizza's looked very tempting, but we settled for curry and cheeseburger. Both came to £13. So great food and very good prices. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were very impressed and returned the following night. Where we meet more guests from our hotel. Who were also eating. Highly recommended if in area.

Myself and partner popped by for food, the pizzas were lovely and both food and alcohol reasonably priced. Sat in the beer garden with our dog and watched their chickens and little chicks roam around the garden, so cute. If going I would recommend the pizzas!

Rang ahead as there was 14 of us and the woman was very welcoming on the phone. When we arrived (We gave her an hours notice) she had laid a table out for us in preparation for our arrival. The dogs were welcomed into the venue also.

Whilst stopping for the weekend in the local area went looking for food with the grand children. Came upon this pub doing food, that'll do. Great food, great beer for me, quick game of pool with the girls whilst waiting for the food. Really good food at a really good price. Beer was great, shame I could only have the one though! Landlady was very pleasant and could hardly do enough for us, great pub just a shame its not on our door step but we will be back.

Working at the cock inn has been so fantastic so far and I have only been there a week. I really enjoy it so much. My Boss (the landlady) Kelly is amazing and she has been so supportive with my situation.

We popped in here following a long wet walk with the dog through the wonderful countryside and stream valley of this part of Shropshire. This small pub, set in the picturesque village of Brockton was lovely and the landlady was so welcoming, even kindly offering to hang my girlfriends coat up to dry! There were a couple of nice ales on and we ate a nice (and great value) meal. Would definitely recommend this place as a stop-off point on a walk.

The food and atmosphere was really good went in for lunch after exploring the Shropshire country side yesterday. It's a small and lovely little village pub the prices were really good and service was very good. Me and my friend were made to feel welcome throughout our visit. I had hotdog and chips and my friend had the steak pie with chips and peas at a really good price of £7.00 for both meals in total. So happy with the price living in a town the prices are usually a lot. Higher so had a lovely surprise at the price with coffee only being 75p for a really tasty coffee. Would definitely recommend if you find your self nearby :)

Went for the first secret diner club evening that is run by Jess who owns the fab 'not today seitan' in liar liar..what can i say?.the food was on another level. Litrally the best vegan food in Oswestry and way surpasses anything else available in a vegan cafe in Oswestry. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing and the cocktails were beautiful too. Really hope the owner decides to run these evenings on a regular basis although once word gets around i imagine getting a table will be really difficult. Its great to see a vibrant young business do so well and honestly the co trading with Liar liar is such a brilliant idea. Two amazing businesses running side by side. I cannot recommend this highly enough, the best vegan resturant/cafe in town by far

Honestly the best pub meal I've had in years! The steak and Guinness pie was delicious and chips better than many chippies. How they do that with bargain prices baffles me. Highly recommend
