Quirky little place in a quirky little village, my son and I were camping nearby and needed a cooked breakfast so we gave them a go, the breakfast was good, my son was allowed to change some options on his which a lot of places won't do. My only criticism is that it could do with a good clean especially the floors.

Discovered this place as we were staying nearby. What a lucky find as the food was authentic and very tasty. Their Panang curry was to die for. Very basic atmosphere but you go here for the food and friendly staff. If you like Thai, then this is the place to go to.

8 of us called in as we were travelling by on a barge holiday. Claire, Evva and all the other wonderful staff made us feel so welcome. Food and local beers were outstanding, wonderful big round table, warm and friendly atmosphere made for a great afternoon and evening and Claire let us use her moorings which made our life so much easier. Shame we live so far away, keep up the great work, best wishes from Andy and all the boys on the Lazyfox

We've been coming to Timbrells for our breakfast for years as we walk alot around the area. From our first trip, one of the things that brought us back was the staff member who served us. Every time she serves us, she's so cheery, and so attentive to our needs - we came in Sunday for our normal breakfast and this time I wanted to acknowledge what a fantastic job she does. I don't know her name, but she was working on Sunday 11 May and said her shift started at 7. She's super bubbly and she'll know who she is if you said 'the couple who come in and have tea, latte, a jug of water, 2 rounds of brown toast with butter/jam/marmalade, and no allergies'! She's a credit to you and one the reasons we've come back. Timbrells is a lovely place, all the staff are friendly, it's always welcoming, clean - and if we didn't live so close by, we'd absolutely book a room and stay with you. We've had a Sunday roast before and it was really tasty. It is surrounded by fantastic walks, and we usually take some toast crust to feed the squirrels!

This has been one of my favorite coffee shops for some time. However, a group of teenagers now frequent it, they buy nothing, lounge around the seats feet on the tables and stand on the chairs and on occasion use a vape. I've only just left along with another regular user. The language being used was loud and offensive. I shall have to find somewhere else to go. Shame.

Stayed 1 night here as part of a walk along the Ridgeway. I received an email the day before saying there would be a singer in the downstairs pub till strictly 12, which is fine. Guy kept shouting out of tune till 1.30 in the morning, meaning I couldn't get to sleep till after as the bed was shaking. And for such a horrible night we were charged the same as a lovely country house hotel further up the way did the night before. Swerve. At all costs. I wouldn't pay 50 to stay here, let alone 75.

Just had two night stay at this beautiful pub. Just one of the most perfect old unspoilt pubs with amazing food - great staff and great rooms. We just wish we lived nearer and could visit every week. A perfect choice for my husbands birthday treat highly recommend it

The most favourite haunted place! We arrived late on a Saturday evening, tired and very hungry. We ordered starters and mains — and yes, we had to wait, but reasonably for a Saturday night. And it was so worth it — the food was amazing! It felt wonderfully homemade and real, like something lovingly cooked just for us. And no, we don't have any food photos… as I said, we were VERY hungry. The pub is in an impeccable location, and we’ll definitely be back next time. However, I’m not sure I should leave such a glowing review… if everyone goes there now, I might not get a table next time! lol

What a lovely pub! I visited during that horrible storm Darragh and after a sketchy drive down, it was so lovely to walk in and be warmly greeted by the staff and a cosy fire. I was meeting friends and we all live across the country and not local to each other, so we just randomly selected this pub as a central location. So glad we did. The service, food and atmosphere was all fantastic! Highly recommend the crispy pork belly! Delicious! We all loved it so much we’ve decided to make it our new central meet up for our twice yearly catch ups. Great food and reasonably priced!
