Costa Coffee Butchers Row in Wiltshire

Most disappointing drink I've had in a long time. I get a Costa once in a while as a treat, doubt I will again. Was stood first in the queue for 5 minutes despite other staff seeing me and them asking another staff member to serve me. When I eventually was served my order was made fast but very wrong and it was disgusting. A frappe is suppose to be iced, not mearly coldish milk. No time or effort was made and it certainly tasted like it

Pretty good Costa, was fairly clean, and had lots of seating. All the cakes were I stock despite being later in the day. Staff were all really friendly.

Heard one of the staff members being quite rude to another staff member, repeatedly belittling her. No excuse for this kind of behaviour or attitude in the workplace. Happy to provide further detail

I came in for an oat cappuccino and was so disappointed. The first one they served me was cold so I asked for another one the second on was hot but had no froth at all. I understand that ot doesn’t froth as much as cows milk but I might as well have asked for a flat white!!!

Payed 4 pounds for a coffee and only got half a cup

Pretty standard high street coffee shop. Good not great

Door handle broke one side, so door wedged open creating a cold draft. People hogging seats with empty cups, limited seating options.

It was Friday at 1.30 pm. The place was filthy. All tables full of used crockery. The floor was awash with spillages and so sticky your feet stuck to the floor. 4 staff members working in the place so someone should have been monitoring the seating area for clearing/cleaning. Told one of the staff members that the place was really dirty but she just shrugged and did nothing and did not seem to care.

Didn't have food but coffee always good and coffee shop very clean and tidy

My favourite place to go, I often meet up with friends for coffee and a chat, all the staff are really nice, I gave a lower score this time because they keep running out of things like bread, sugar/sweeteners, ice also they have no parasols to put up I think they need some decent ones that don't keep breaking every 6 months

Popped in for a quick latte and asked for it extra hot. Got a luke warm drink then asked for a hot one and got attitude. They had the Aircon on as well, and it was freezing outside. Use to go here all the time but it's gone down hill, since the staff have changed. Avoid it, if you can.

Coffee and food ok but service was pretty rude. Started trying deliberately ignore me and to serve the person behind me instead until put a stop to the silliness. Just some childish whim think Pathetic.

Had a white hot chocolate and a latte cost over £8. I expected nicer the white hot chocolate tasted like it was just hot milk had no flavour to it at all. The latte was not hot enough, for the price we expected better from Costa.

The staff are amazing they are so kind welcoming and helpful. There more like friends. I love going to Costa just a great place to sit outside for a day and coffee and watch the world go by. Well done Salisbury Costa. You are amazing. 😍

A very busy cafe at 12 O'clock, but the young staff seemed to have a good grip on things. The seating space is quite tight, and we ended up on a table near an entrance. Bit of a draught, but the fresh air was welcome. Toasted sandwich was tasty and the Cappuccino was hot (which isn't always the case. Pretty good value for money. ☕☕🍽️🍽️🙂🙂✔️✔️

Great service. I would have been happier with wheat-free, vegetarian options on the menu. Oat-meal latte is recommended.

The Women in there let me buy some of there milk what they made for me it smells better than my sister milk like a sweet rose fragrance

A smaller Costa than I've been to before, tucked away in a row of shops. Picked a Cheese and Ham Toastie with Cappuccino, said we would dine in, paid, took coffee to a table, shortly afterwards toasties arrived. Noticed that nearly every table had one person sat at, on a mobile or laptop drinking coffee...

Working in Salisbury for a few months this place has become my little home frome home. Staff are always pleasant & friendly. Cannot fault the service. Staff remember my order & coffee is perfect.

Visited here today. Coffee / tea absolutely fine but the toilets were disgusting. Why do people leave the facilities in such a poor state and why are the facilities not checked more regularly? Score reflects the overall experience. I did notice a member of staff using the toilet where they stop patrons using by putting an out of order sign up and blocking the entrance - I wonder why?!?!?!

Stopped for drinks. Excellent covid arrangements. A very welcoming place. Very clean. Indoor and outdoor seating. Accessible toilet. All on one level.

De vez un cuando hay que hacer algo inspirado y cuando haces entonces hay que venir al Costa coffee.

El café siempre es muy bueno en Costa y hay una amplia variedad de comida para elegir. Mi favorita es la rodaja de almendra y frambuesa, es jugosa y deliciosa, la tarta de limón también es muy buena. El personal es amable y eficiente, y es bueno tener que elegir entre permanecer en el interior o salir al aire libre si hace un día soleado.

Todos hemos estado yendo aquí durante los últimos 11 años, ¡qué estúpidos podemos ser! . Llega la pandemia y todos empezamos a descubrir el café independiente que ha estado frente a nuestros ojos. La tienda supuestamente va a tener una reparación durante los últimos 3 años, ciertamente necesita una, los inodoros son una vergüenza total cuando están funcionando, debería pensar que podría atrapar algo en serio, ¡más ahora! La alfombra está sucia y las mesas y las paredes no son mucho mejores. De repente, esta semana, todo el personal está allí, preparándose para un sistema de comida para llevar. ¿Alguna vez ha escuchado que Barista tiene la capacidad o el conocimiento para hacer una limpieza profunda? El personal siempre ha sido amable y servicial, es una pena que los verdaderos propietarios les impongan esto. After an afternoon in Sailsbury I visited this costa and found the coffee shop very busy and it was very clean and dirty cup’s removed promptly with our drinks made quickly and satisfying and looking the part have found a table and we had a great time talking and relaxing

Entré en esta costa para tomar un café de Navidad. Fui a tomar algo esta mañana. El Frestino fue perfecto en un día tan caluroso, pero lo que realmente me impresionó fue el equipo. Fueron muy amables y acogedores. Cada persona fue recibida con una sonrisa y, a pesar de estar ocupada y mantener un buen ritmo, los clientes tuvieron tiempo para sentirse individualmente importantes. Vale la pena una visita!

Two hot tasty toasted cheese and ham sandwiches accompanied by two packs of low fat crisps two delicious coffee lattes and the star of the show the millionaires shortbread. So indulgent we shared it. Unforgettable views and fantastic staff.

Judging by the amount of customers outside this restaurant, we expected the inside to be heaving. Happily, this was not the case. There were a number of free tables to choose from inside. Our order for drinks was happily despatched, and filled in a very short time.

Visited here the other day for a quick coffee and cake. The place was busy. Fairly clean and tidy. Service quick and efficient. Nothing to complain about. Coffees were as expected and cakes good.

Just moped in for quick chocolate and yes staff excellent courteous and helpfull toilet is the only downfall a very busy costa

I don’t think this review needs many words. Just see the attached pictures highlighting the lack of cleanliness. To top this off the barista said ‘none of them are perfect because the dishwasher is rubbish’ when we complained about the cleanliness of the crockery. Maybe they should invest some of their money in a some fairy liquid and a scrubber.

If you get tired and in need of a cup of coffee, this is a good place to stop and sit and have a muffin with a cup of coffee. It is on the Market Square in the center town, and is a popular place.

This place is lovely for a chain brand. A lot of the staff are friendly and know what they are doing worth a pop in if you want a generic coffee and cake :)

Well situated in town. Good place to rest for a while with very good coffee, friendly staff and tasteful pastry. Two entries mean a shortcut trough the centre of town. Mind the step though. And that's serious.

The people serving were friendly, but when we sat down we found our cups hadn't been cleaned properly and still had brown leftovers on them. The replacement cups weren't much better. I used the toilet and it was filthy. The drinks themselves were fine

Been a Costa Coffee Club member for years. Started off in Newbury (pleasant, clean, friendly staff and free napkins) now moved to Salisbury, what a disappointment! (like the rest of Salisbury) Its just not a pleasant experience any more. Like all big chains it has got too big, lost control and doesn't care any more. AND they have ceased giving napkins with your snacks, so now you have to put your biscuit of cake on the table. God knows what has been on the table before! I wrote to complain to Whitbread and all I got was an email saying "Thank you for your comments on our new environment policy we will pass it to the marketing department"

This is one of my favorite resting places in Salisbury. I go with a friend, get a perfect latte and sit outside chatting. I think this is how heaven will be. And this is true even in November!

Although this a chain store, the staff make the establishment feel like an artisan spot. My Mocha is always done to perfection and the smiles from ALL the staff are infectious. If I'm down I know I will come out smiling .

You get what you expect, but the staff are very pleasant and there is an outside seating area which is good for smokers like me who enjoy a fag with their cappucino.

Costa have two venues in Salisbury - one on the busy Market Square and one in George Mall. Both are busy, noisy and very popular places to meet with friends or to recruperate from a shopping trip. The coffee is strong, there is a wide range of cakes and newspapers, the staff are friendly and, with my Costa Club card, I get points that can be exchanged for a free cup of coffee or the odd bun. I always head for Costa when up town.

Having Previously Used Cote,Never Again! Their Staff Need To Spend A Day Working Here, Perhaps They May Learn How To Treat Customers Who Just Have Coffee. There Are 2 Costa Coffee In Salisbury, The Other In The Old George Mall, But In My Opinion This Coffee Shop Is Not Only The Best In Salisbury, But One Of The Best South Of The M4. It started to pour with rain and this establishment was right next to us, so we ran inside to get out of the rain. We had a large coffee, which was actually too large. But it was nice and I enjoyed my Latte.

Today I visited the salisbury butchers row branch at around 5pm and was disgusted by what I witnessed. A young brown haired girl was on the till serving me in a pleasant manner when a lady in a cream management shirt was repeadtly making rude remarks loud enough for me to hear in the queue. The comments were directed at the girl who remained calm and professional even with her manager barking Orders at her to" stop serving and to get on the machine and make these drinks herself" with that the barista continued to make my drinks without retaliating to what I can only describe as constant abuse. I am shocked and mortified that a manager would resort to talking to a team member like this and feel serious action should be taken. Massive well done for the young girl for remaining so calm and doing what I can only describe as a great job. I can only hope that not all costa managers are like this!

Very popular can be very busy at times, excellent coffees and drinks sandwiches and cakes reward scheme to collect points.

The toilets were full and not flushing. There was no running water. The staff are rude. It's a vile establishment and shall not have my custom.

This is one of the better costas I've been in either uk or abroad . Staff are polite and seem to be singing from the same hymn sheet.

There are so many cafes in Salisbury, but this still remains my favourite. The seating areas are laid out well so you have have privacy. The staff are also friendly and on the ball, clearing tables. The hot chocolate's are also delicious. I'd love to know how to make it like theirs!

Staff are rude, asked for the coffee I wanted to take away, I had to repeat myself 4 separate times and upon the 4th time, even though she didn't hear me the first 3 times, she muttered under her breath, that was loud enough to hear, "do you think I am stupid or something", I didn't like to reply....!!!!!!!!!

Lovely place. Very friendly staff that go out their way. Was here with two friends, and even though we stayed quite a while and only had two drinks they didn't seem to be annoyed with us being there, that i was worried about. Very very good place.

I must spend a high percentage of my income here, staff are friendly and excellent. I drink a lot of coffee and in my opinion Costa has the best tasting brew in town. Food selection is limited, but it is what you would expect for a coffee shop.
