The food menu requires updating, however, the food was of a good standard, something that let the place down was the sticky tables and dirty furniture.

We had our wedding reception in the Barn at the Queens arms and it was amazing. The land lady pulled out all the stops to make the venue perfect. The food was fabulous, the staff was amazing. I could not ask for a better day.

Tried a couple of Pubs (eating Houses) before dropping on this Treasure! As soon as we walked in people welcomed us and entered into friendly conversation. It was a Sunday afternoon and folks were out to enjoy themselves. Good juke-box, decent Real Ale, ace punters and a brilliant Landlady....Happy Days.

During our visit to salisbury we called a taxi to visit the town. We asked the taxi driver for somewhere freindly he took us the the Queens. It was a old stye pub quite packed. We ordered our drinks prices not bad. There was juke box music playing the locals where enjoying them selfs. Everyone was freindly and we had a couple of drinks well worth a visit.

Called in to warm up but the real fire would't take hold despite our efforts. Hot chocolate was a bit naff but the friendly welcome made up for it. Needs some new furniture never the less enjoyed our short stay.

Lovely landlord and landlady, nice local boozer and simple roast dinner which did the job. Beware if taking younger children as some of the patrons were using some blue language however were managed well by landlady

Reputed to be the longest trading pub in Salisbury. Nothing 'special' architecturally from the outside but nice and cosy within and giving the best welcome by the locals of all the pubs we visited.

V rude guy behind the bar I would avoid at all costs. I cant believe the place is in business and thinks they can get away with treating people as badly as they do.

Hidden away off the main highstreet is this little gem. It's a traditional pub with a small selection of good guest ales. The landlord is really friendly, we stopped here for just a drink and ended up staying for a few hours and playing cards on the bar - thanks! Definitely worth a visit if you're tired of chain-pubs

This pub is just off the main town centre and we only found it because the first pub was closed (3pm) and the next stopped food at 2:30. Landlord sounded really fed up with life but in fact it was his natural way of talking. Really friendly guy. Four ales including three guest so no complaints. Wife and I only wanted a sandwich as a snack but when they arrived doorstops is an understatement. Huge wedges with large filling, salad and crisps and all for less than £4. Didn't need an evening meal that night! Didn't see any main meals but judging by the snacks and reviews I will make a point of visiting on my next trip.

The food at this pub is amazing, I had the fish and chips, the former of which was enormous. Fresh Cod fillet perfectly cooked, succulent and tasty, best fish and chips I have ever had. The Queens Arms is tucked away a little but should not be overlooked. Really enjoy the guest ales, a great little pub, if you go there TRY THE FOOD.

Popped in on the off-chance with a friend for Sunday Lunch a few weeks ago. The interior of the pub doesn't exactly fill one with confidence although it's not to say it's unwelcoming. Service at the bar was friendly and while we sat having ordered our food watched a table - in the bar - being laid especially for us.We didn't have to wait long. Food was served graciously and my portion, the medium, was almost more than I could eat. Beautifully cooked roast meat, a very good selection of vegetables also well-cooked and proper sauces albeit still in the jars (a homely and down-to-earth touch) made an excellent meal at a very advantageous price.Went again with the same friend and another two weeks ago. First time wasn't a fluke - this time was every bit as good as the first and I shall definitely go again.....and again. As they say: 'Miss it, miss out'!

All the meals here are excellent and home-cooked with fresh, seasonal vegetables. Even the sandwiches are made with the freshest bread I've ever tasted and generously filled. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very generous - bear this in mind when you order a Sunday roast lunch, as my plate was piled high with veg and several, thick slices of meat. To be honest, it was probably the best Sunday lunch I have ever had at a pub/restaurant, with everything cooked to perfection. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Queens Arms for good food & beer - and the locals are very friendly - so even if you just pop in for a quick drink, you will always find yourself chatting to someone!

Had a drink here and saw some tourists eating good quality pub food which made us visit for dinner the following day. Had the roast lamb shank on a bed of mash with gravy and a separate dish of mixed veg which consisted of cauliflower, carrots and peas. The lamb fell off the bone with a light touch from my fork.Would highly recommend it, a hidden gem just a short walk from the cathedral - food prepared to order so be patient, it's not fast food it's quality food. We only waited a short while as it was quiet. Some nice real ales which I didn't see in other pubs in the city.

Visiting the area and decided to stop at The Lodge, and what a wonderful place it is. We wanted a light bite to eat and were advised by Alex that the pork taco was amazing, and he was not wrong! Ale
