We had booked a table weeks in advance and people who were in front of us who hadn't booked was given a decent table . Where as we were seated at a table that was central point where everyone was walking around and draughty. We expressed our disappointment and where told there were no other tables yet there was and I again expressed our unhappiness where we sat and asked to move to a vacant table that was a bit more secluded. Waited ages for our salads which were vertually thrown in front of us by a young guy . Terrible service food medioca. Won't be going back.

Had the roast beef which was VERY nice. Proper home cooked roast. Come out fast and it makes a nice change not to be ripped off for red wine. This is the second time I have had it now. £19 could be considered expensive but it’s worth it and I think thats pretty much the going rate in pubs now. Dog friendly place 👍🏻 would have liked to have stayed for desert but needed to get back. Maybe next time.

Although most of the serving staff were lovely, one was a little unhappy when we asked for a water refill when they just wanted to take like dessert order. My wife's main arrived a good 5-10 minutes after everyone else's. As she was just having a starter as a main, it may have been nice to offer a free drink or something to make up for the mistake.

Just a really nice coffee shop, and that's that. It does what it says on the tin and quite nicely really. Would defo go back again, that's for sure.

Can’t believe these are all genuine reviews. Wouldnt surprise me if they weren’t written by the owners friends. Didn’t think much of the place. Food appears to be pretty stale and not freshly made and the juices sickeningly dense with no real flavour. IMHO Not worth the bother as there are other better places available .

We spent an absolutely lovely hour at The Dolls House at Lulworth Cove. We were first tempted by the ice creams which surely must be the best in Lulworth Cove. Delightfully served by Zac and Nate I had a scrumptious cone with a generous dollop of strawberry and similar of honeycomb. My two friends had other delicious flavours. There’s ample and comfortable seating under large umbrellas so we sat and enjoyed the moment. We loved the ambiance so much that we stayed for tea and coffees. I really recommend The Dolls House. It has a great menu and lovely staff to look after you.

This is a beautiful old pub with great , historical furnishings. However the ‘quick bites’ advertised does not represent the price! We went for dinner , saw a wide variety of options. Our meal was small, and mean with ingredients! Eg. Couple of tiny crumbs of feta on a small ( quick bite!) risotto … all for £17!! The barmaid was pleasant but unfortunately this didn’t deter from the whole experience

Best Sunday lunch I’ve had for quite some time. I’ve read some of the honking reviews on here, but I’m obviously subjective regards what I like, but what I can do is compare against food I’ve eaten elsewhere. Everything on my plate was perfect. The young chef in the back can cook. Last night he pushed out a special 3 course Burns Night supper which was fantastic (the sauce was unreal), and which I doubt no other pub in Dorset was doing. Today the lunch was cooked to perfection, fresh, hot, and very tasty. But, don’t listen to me, and don’t listen to negative tourists who expect the world, try it yourself and maybe be surprised.
