The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Purbeck South West

While holidaying in Swanage we visited the Ship Inn on one evening. The venue is situated in the centre of Swanage and quite busy. Usual pub food options which were well presented and tasty. Good sized portions and prompt service. The prices were a little higher than other similar Swanage venues visited during our stay, but this would not put us off visiting the Ship again.

On the plus side Staff were friendly and helpful, a pleasant sandwich made with lovely fresh bread . But sadly he cafe itself is looking a little tired and the sink in the toilet was an absolute disgrace

My husband and I visited today on a wild, wintry Valentine Day. The gentleman that served us called Jake was so polite and accommodating. A credit to the company. Thank you

Beavers is one of our favourite ‘go to’ eateries on a regular basis (we are locals) for breakfasts and lunches. Beavers breakfasts are always very good and are reasonably priced. Lunches also are very good, one particular favourite is Tempura prawns with salad, delicious! Staff are very friendly, helpful and patient.

This bakery has it all amazing coffee, friendly service, and a cozy, dog-friendly atmosphere. The staff always greets you with a smile, and it’s clear they really care about making your visit special. I love how the regulars are always so welcoming, creating a great sense of community. It’s the perfect spot to relax with a coffee, people-watch, and enjoy some quality time with your puppy. Can’t recommend it enough!

This is the only café situated on the beachfront. They provide excellent coffee and a wide array of drinks. Next to the café, in the same building, there's a shop where you can buy various souvenirs like books, hats, and more. The café boasts a fantastic beach view and also includes restroom facilities.

Change of owners change of produce. Used to buy our daily cob rolls here for decades. Another institution gone. Bakery over the road far better

Dropped in after a trip to Norden and back. The old carriage is quite spacious, bright and attractive. Lots of outside seating on the platform and the grass bank. They also have a small book stall to raise funds for the railway. Prices are fine and the food and drinks are up to standard, but not as good as the Norden cafe.

My husband and I had beef stroganoff which was delicious. Menu was extremely varied and competitively priced. We'll definitely be returning. Great staff and atmosphere. Well done to the new chef and new management.

Staff had no understanding of allergies and service in general was extremely poor. We walked away before ordering as did those behind us in the queue who overheard the service we received.

Terrible and would not go back. Tables outside were not being wiped down or cleaned between customers and the plastic wicker chairs were all broken and horrible to sit on. All the food came out to find they forgot to put my food order through, so had to sit and wait and by the time it came out my husband and kids has finished. And when it did come out it was the biggest disappointment, DO NOT order the warm chicken and bacon salad with honey mustard dressing, it's basically a bowl or shredded iceberg with some sweetcorn and cherry tomatoes and a bit of onion thrown in and a measly few bits of chicken placed on top, with a pot of mayo in the middle, £14 for this is ridiculous. I must say though as don't like to be too critical on a small business, my husband said the crab burger was lovely. I am all for supporting small businesses but I would never return here.

Great place for lunch or a stop off for a drink and cake... definitely recommend the Dirsrt Draught cider and the Dorset apple cake, warmed with ice cream

Great find when on a Christmas break in wareham. Lovely friendly staff and locals. Sports was a bonus to watch the football/horse racing on Boxing Day. Very well priced as you pay a lot more in other pubs in town. Thanks everyone
