I asked if they had a real ale. I was told they had an IPA. It was poured and given to me. It was not a real ale! It was a freezing cold keg beer that I really couldn’t drink and I was charged £5.20. I tried to complain to the obviously under-trained and frankly couldn’t-care-less female bar person but it was like water off a duck’s back. I said I was mis-sold but she didn’t seem to understand. I asked who owned the pub and was told “Stonegate”. I left the pint virtually in-drunk on the bar, hoping I would be able to claim a refund from Stonegate but the pub is not recognised on their website, other than from them looking for a tenant. I am out of pocket, fed up and very annoyed! I would advise anyone who likes a proper ale: DO NOT USE THIS PUB!

Best traditional pub in Wareham and the only proper pub in Wareham that hasn't turned into a restaurant.

Rude man in charge moaning on the phone at a lady and spoke not so nice to make customer. Had sky tv on didn’t turn it all off. No wonder pubs have energy problems!

First visit, definitely a mans pub. Women have 2 walk past a pool table 2 get 2 loo, plenty of foul language. 2 drinks we asked 4 they did not have. Not my idea of enjoyment sadly.

Went to watch a game of football with the family (6 Adults - covid rules - NDS workers) ... well what can I say.... not welcoming at all. A big sign blocking the doorway stating "No entry. Loyalty customers only" Shocked and appalled- obviously in this current climate, small empty pubs can afford to turn away business # shameful!

I give it 5star it was very good and a very good food and very friendly as well.

I have a mixed reaction about this venue strange for me nice oldish exterior nicely kept thought to my self this aint bad .. Then i walked in a modern type touch with TV screens (there is nothing wrong with a nice clean crisp look with sports on the tele) but just not what i was expecting... Last year it was recommended that we ate in here but this year they had stopped serving / cooking Im all for public houses moving in a different direction just a little supprised

Good local pub great for watching sports

We arrived here at about 14.00 to be told that they had run-out of roast lamb but still had beef and chicken - we opted for the roast beef. We were served by a cheery young waitress after a mere 10 minute wait from ordering. The beef was tender and flavoursome with not one iota of fat or gristle on it. There were peas (if not fresh, then certainly of a high quality frozen), carrots, cabbage, roast and mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. The only downside to the food was the gravy which was week and watery and smothered the food - it should have been served in a boat so that the customer could use as much, or as little as they wanted. There were downsides to the actual establishment. There were 7 television screens, showing different sports. However, the sound on most of them was not turned up. I do not have a problem with dogs (4) in the bar (the pub's or locals?) except when they beg for food. Beware of locals, some of who seem to use the 'F' word as every other word in their speech. The toilets (men's) were immaculate.

Not a great selection of drinks and the food wasn't the best either...

Had delicious pensioners lunch today £3.50 each nice choice of meals. Plenty to eat for us. Friendly helpful staff. Clean Wcs. definately will be going again when in Wareham

been again to the antelope late may this year. have to say it now needs a lot of work doing. our room 15 which we always ask for, we've had this room about 8 times now. now has basicaly a tip outside the window with old chairs and bits of unwanted equipment. it's also a smokers refuge for the staff. the meals are a bit hit and miss good one day not so good next. it's a pity really it's such a nice of place.we where told improvements are on the way I hope so.

Popped in here as looked nice from the outside. Was about 9.30pm on Friday evening and the bar didnt have many punters but the ones there were all very drunk and one of them had her daughter in tow who guessing was about age 4! I would avoid in future!

I was in the Antelope Inn yesterday for my birthday, we were in a group of 14/15 of us. The staff was more than accommodating for us all. Everyone was friendly, really welcoming. The staff heard it was my birthday and decided to bring out a free tray of shots for the whole group, which was equivalent to roughly £40, they also got the whole pub singing happy birthday to me. Great atmosphere and staff. We was also allowed to get food from the chippy and eat it in the pub... how great is that! I will defiantly recommend. They all made my birthday one to remember. Thank you.

It was like a weatherspoons which I find is an example of drunk people looking for cheap beer. Beer was good but place was noisy, had children running riot and many drunk not so want to be nice customers. Don't think I'd return

Popped in for a pint before going to the Springfield hotel for a party. Lovely little pub and it has plenty of room if you need a party etc. Would use it again when passing

We had a fantastic day on a Sunday, we came here to watch the F1 and the Man City football match. The landlord was a character and soon became involved with a sing song with us and a few other customers. The Sunday lunch was very good as was the lager nice clean crisp pint. When we are back in the area I will defiantly pop in

Absolutely fantastic place. Maybe small , but definitely a place we would visit again if we were in the area. Booked a table for 5, they knew who we were as we walked in. Served quickly, cheapest round of drinks I've bought all week! Food was served within 15 minutes and it was all hot and tasted lovely. Cheapest meal all week too. Very friendly staff who ensured that we had everything needed for our meal. Definitely made our last day on holiday! Thanks girls xx

If you like your sport you may find the Antelope more to your taste than mine. There are TVs on ever wall, playing sport. Locals are a noisy lot. No real ales.

Went to this pub while staying at the red lion across the road. Lovely pub lovely people and quick service at the bar would come here again and we had a private party which was catered for as well.

Amazing place, looks like a medium sized pub, but just take a walk round, it's huge.
