The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Purbeck South West

A lovely spot with stunning views, and the cake is truly delightful. The garden and animals are a real treat—everything is well-maintained, clean, and inviting. The facilities are also spotless, which is always appreciated. The coffee, unfortunately, didn’t quite match the rest of the experience. It seemed to lack the depth and quality we’ve come to enjoy elsewhere, possibly due to the commercial beans, machine or preparation. It certainly did the job if you’re just after something hot, but there’s potential for so much more. Service was a little on the slow and impersonal side, which was surprising given the hospitality setting. That said, it’s a busy place, and with a few small changes—perhaps a focus on locally roasted specialty coffee, a skilled barista, and a bit more energy from the team—this spot could be absolutely exceptional. We’ll definitely visit again and look forward to seeing how it evolves!

Beautiful 2 course lunch with free entry to the park. The food was delicious and the service efficient and friendly. We love this place.

Amongst the masses of coffee shops it's hard to find the good ones. Carve obviously have a love for making great coffee and this was clear from the black filter I ordered when I stopped for a mid bike ride caffeine boost.

arrived here looking to order a pizza, 3 guys behind the counter just chatting amongst themselves, completely ignoring me for 10 mins and then finally took my order, said it would be a certain time, it took even longer and when it did arrive it was very average, do yourself a favour and go the Square and Compass for Pizza, they are much better and the staff are nice.

Breakfast buffet - couldn't fault it Lunchtime Bar food - Greast quality and huge large and filling portions. Large whitebait meal could feed an army. Evening Restaurant - Service and wines very good but food simply not great. I'd eat elsewhere if I had a choice again

Popped in here whilst visited the cove for some fudge and to have a look at the “dolls house”. A very cool little house which they have turned into a shop.

Cuando visite Dorset siempre nos gusta llevar nuestro perro a pasear en Upton Park y es agradable para terminar nuestro paseo con un café y un aperitivo fuera del té. Muy agradable.

We went for an evening meal and the ambience was lovely, low lights and candles (hopefully not just for Valentines). The service was really good, friendly and attentive all evening and our food was delicious. We ate a mix of food from the regular menu and the specials, all of it was hot, fresh and really tasty. The specials menu included some delicious alternatives including confit duck leg and sea bass which were presented beautifully and thoroughly enjoyed.

Amazing roast, starters and puddings great too, hosts very active and service with a smile, highly recommend

3rd time staying at the bear. This time in Paddington, we have previously stayed in Goldilocks and Pooh bear. A beautiful room just like the others and a beautiful hotel, everything is done so nicely, is spotless and welcoming. We love the old saxon walled town of Wareham, i never miss a chance to walk the walls and think of the history under foot and how the town is still the same shape as it was back then, its the perfect spot to go in any direction to explore to the isle of purbeck and have a fantastic break. We have already booked up to come back in June for a few nights to grab another wonderful recharging stay.

Fantastic venue. Poor service. They say table service, but sat 30 mins waiting to be served on a quiet Saturday morning (and we weren't the only ones). In the end, we had to go in and be served. If they can not cope with that now, there's no chance in the summer!! Need to b up your game and be a it was before the change of ownership. That team knew their locals and gave 100% service, 100% of the time.

Ordered the surf and turf specifically asked if it was fresh got told yes and served a clearly cooked from frozen lobster with half of it missing (basically got a tail and one and a half claws) they said they'd given me an extra claw but one was completely empty, the lasagne looked okay but wouldn't bother again, I can see why we were the only people there

Always a good place to pick up, a slice of Dorset appel cake. Yum
