At last, we have been visiting Swanage for over 30 years and the globe has always been one of our pubs of choice. It's been off the radar for the last two years or so BUT it's back, thanks to the locals for taking it on as a community pub project. We have recently been back in and it's back to the friendly welcoming family friendly pub, we went in Monday 19th August 24 and full of locals which we haven't seen for a long time. Beer etc back to a choice and all well looked after, as is the big back garden. Well done Swanage community, brilliant.

Lovely visit for a drink, asked if we could have some cheesy chips, unfortunately not on a Sunday, but what about cauliflower cheese? Roast potatoes? Oh yes please! Omg absolutely amazing! Gravy too! Thank you so much Joe and team just what we wanted with our pints. Great customer service, happy smiling staff and great music too.

Visited the bakery to get something for lunch while visiting Corfe Castle. So much to choose from including hot sausage rolls, pie's and pasties. Cakes all looked delicious and very reasonably priced. We bought a Pork Pie, 2 huge Cheese Straws, a Vienesse Finger, Cinnamon bun and an Eccles Cake and cost a shy over £7.....very good price. We thoroughly enjoyed everything....the pastry on the pork pie was crispy and very tasty. I wish I lived in Dorset near this bakery as I could visit regularly. Fabulous little village bakery with amazing home made goods.

It's a real shame, it used to be a great friendly bar, but it's changed hands, some of the staff are rude. It's table service only and you can wait ages for to be served. If you approach the bar you are likely to be ignored. Loads of potential but let down.

Having dropped in for a drink and snack mid-morning we were really keen to try lunch - this was clearly not 'just any visitor attraction cafe'. It tells you a lot that mid-week in January we had to wait till quite late in the lunch period to get a table for three! It's not the cheapest place for lunch but like the Smugglers Inn at Osmington you get what you pay for.

This was the best cream tea, we have ever had. The scones were freshly made, light and delicious with very generous portions of both jam and cream and incredibly good value. The garden setting is beautiful. We had a walk around the ponds and enjoyed seeing a whole variety of farm animals. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had visited Tyneham village and were on our way home when we saw the sign to the tea room. We are so glad we turned off and found it. We’ll be back and will definitely recommend to friends and family.

Amongst the masses of coffee shops it's hard to find the good ones. Carve obviously have a love for making great coffee and this was clear from the black filter I ordered when I stopped for a mid bike ride caffeine boost.

Breakfast buffet - couldn't fault it Lunchtime Bar food - Greast quality and huge large and filling portions. Large whitebait meal could feed an army. Evening Restaurant - Service and wines very good but food simply not great. I'd eat elsewhere if I had a choice again

Popped in here whilst visited the cove for some fudge and to have a look at the “dolls house”. A very cool little house which they have turned into a shop.

Cuando visite Dorset siempre nos gusta llevar nuestro perro a pasear en Upton Park y es agradable para terminar nuestro paseo con un café y un aperitivo fuera del té. Muy agradable.

Just had lunch today at the New Inn. What a jewel in the Purbecks. The restaurant had so much character with wooden beams and stone fire places. The menu was so impressive, matched by the excellent cooking and quality of the food that arrived on the plate. It was one of the best pub lunches I have had in a long time. I will definitely be going back again soon. It’s so good to know such a good pub is tucked away so close to Corfe Castle.
