We spent an absolutely lovely hour at The Dolls House at Lulworth Cove. We were first tempted by the ice creams which surely must be the best in Lulworth Cove. Delightfully served by Zac and Nate I had a scrumptious cone with a generous dollop of strawberry and similar of honeycomb. My two friends had other delicious flavours. There’s ample and comfortable seating under large umbrellas so we sat and enjoyed the moment. We loved the ambiance so much that we stayed for tea and coffees. I really recommend The Dolls House. It has a great menu and lovely staff to look after you.

Despite the other reviews, this place is unique. The staff were very polite regarding the full crowd, the service was good and the ice was truly heaven.

Had the cream tea and it was the most delicious scone I’ve had in years. Served with clotted cream and a pot of jam it was a good size and melted in the mouth. The only criticism would be that it was served in a box which made it very difficult to spread the jam and cream on. A plate would have been preferable. Highly recommend the scones

Called last week while in lulworth and had the best cream tea we’ve had in a long time. Really good scones at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended .

Bought an ice cream there this week and was disappointed at the poor hygiene and service. First, we were expected to wait until the lady serving had finished cleaning all of the tables before being served. Second, the lady serving kept on these gloves and then picked up the ice cream cone for my icecream. I asked her to change her gloves and get a fresh cone which she did. Third, we were over charged by 20p but the lady serving said it was on the till and she could not do anything about it and she refused to see it any other way. She said the prices must have gone up recently making the prices displayed invalid. We were met with intransigence. Needless to say, we are unlikely to return.

No cream tea - internet says they do cream tea. Sign outside says they do cream tea. They don’t do cream tea. A busy day but shop empty and people opting in for advertised cream tea walking away disappointed

Our first visit here, this gorgeous little dolls house building houses a small sweet shop and cafe. Unfortunately the cafe was closed however the sweet shop was full of delights. After chatting with the very friendly lady behind the counter we couldn't help but treat our selves. Old fashioned sweet shop in this hidden gem of a spot!

I'd bought some fudge when we were on holiday here last year, it was superb. The lady in the shop told me it was made traditionally with cream, at the local castle. When my husband said he was popping down for a day trip to do some photography he said he would pop in here to get some more delicious fudge as he'd loved it too. He bought lots of it, going on how good it was before. When we both tasted it we realised it wasn't the same. It was cheap rubbish being sold for a very high price, nothing like the good quality, creamy fudge we'd had before. The lady serviing was very friendly and polite. The owner of ths shop is a complete disgrace - we will never return.

Stopped off here to get some fudge- lady serving was horribly rude despite the fact the shop was otherwise empty. Not polite, not allowed more than one fudge flavour or have the fudge chopped so we could actually eat it. Please don’t visit.

We have visited this sweet shop many times in the past and came again (twice) on our most recent visit to the area. Pleased to report a friendly service and nice sweets - that weren't too expensive.

Should have gone to the boat house! But With dad in a wheelchair we decided to try this quaint looking place which is much nearer the top of the slope down to the cove. It was a lovely day so we sat outside They offered a drink and cake deal. Good value but only had two slices of Dorset apple cake and a Victoria sponge! Both were disappointing. As was the service. A young man on his own who disappeared for quite some time. Other possible diners gave up waiting to be served. Could be so much better

We stopped here for a cream tea which was lovely, service was a little slow but was worth it and was friendly, seemed to be a little short staffed maybe. After our boat trip we walked back up to the dolls house and had a ice cream which was also lovely and cheaper than other ice cream shops around there.

Excellent roadside local pub. Staff are very hospitable. Ervice is very good. I think the menu I'd a bit limited as I don't like burgers and not keen on smoked dishes. But the steaks are great, some of thd best I've had.

The food and service at this beautiful country pub were outstanding. The best pub food I have eaten in a long time and definitely the best truffle chips I’ve ever eaten. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Will definitely make this a regular eating spot.

I asked if they had a real ale. I was told they had an IPA. It was poured and given to me. It was not a real ale! It was a freezing cold keg beer that I really couldn’t drink and I was charged £5.20. I tried to complain to the obviously under-trained and frankly couldn’t-care-less female bar person but it was like water off a duck’s back. I said I was mis-sold but she didn’t seem to understand. I asked who owned the pub and was told “Stonegate”. I left the pint virtually in-drunk on the bar, hoping I would be able to claim a refund from Stonegate but the pub is not recognised on their website, other than from them looking for a tenant. I am out of pocket, fed up and very annoyed! I would advise anyone who likes a proper ale: DO NOT USE THIS PUB!
