Had lunch at the Bakers Arms yesterday, Saturday. Good choice of dishes on the menu. We were a table of 4, and were all happy with the food, and service that we received from our server, Lee.

Really lovely sunday meal. Beautiful pub, and really caring waiting staff. Was served by Emily, really attentive, and kind waitress. Recommend this place for sunday roasts!!!

Had such a lovely meal. Served by Charlotte, who was friendly, chatty and went the extra mile to make us comfortable. What a girl, wish I could marry her!

Amazing food! Unfortunately this is where amazing ends. Staff… until today all great however be aware of a waitress Charlotte…. We were waiting good 20 min to pay the bill while she sat with a family next table bragging about how she married the boss etc 😂 is it why you still have a job Charlotte? 🙄

Great place to go and eat. Never been disappointed with any of the dishes, massive thanks to Lee, for looking after is all.

Charming dog friendly pub. Lovely open fire and ambiance. We experienced a lovely warm welcome, followed by lovely food and continued excellent service from our waiter Steve. First class service, thank you and we will be back.

Cosy atmosphere and good food. We had a lovely beef sandwich and coffee for lunch. They also do a range of small platters.

Friendly staff, our waitress was very good, quality of food was very good, a very enjoyable meal.

Visited Saturday 19th October Me and my friend came into the pub for dinner. As soon as we walked into the pub we were greeted with a friendly face and a warm welcome. We were quickly shown to our table, ordered our drinks and informed on the wait time which we were more than happy with. Our food was amazing and the service by Emily was great. Will definitely be back!

Fine for a quiet convivial lunch

Great food, good choice and friendly helpful staff. We very much enjoyed our main courses followed by mini desserts and hot drinks. Desserts all sounded lovely but main portions were generous meaning we only had room for mini and a coffee.

We had the most enjoyable meal where we were taken care of by our waiter Steve. He was very polite, personable and efficient. He made us so very welcome and our food came within a few minutes of ordering. We would highly recommend this pub for socialising or eating and will definitely return.

Clean and comfortable interior with plenty of seating for drinks and food. Great amount of parking and fantastic size beer garden for eating and drinking outside.

Well, as mentioned before, we've been back to The Bakers Arms and again enjoyed the delicious Sunday roast. We were escorted to our table and served by the lovely Chrissie. The whole experience was excellent again, so we will definitely be back!

Waitress was lovely, but was on her own trying to service a large number of tables, so service a bit slow but she was very attentive

Food was awesome and so was the service.

Excellent choice of menu. New dishes added. The staff are always friendly. They have cut down to only two options for burgers now a plant based and one other no option for just a plain burger.

Another outstanding meal from the Sunday carvery. A pub with atmosphere, amazing food and welcoming staff. Excellent. (no picture, eaten everything)

Very disappointed with everything service was poor food (gammon) very tasteless and grizzly eggs were burnt plate was full of grease not one word from any staff member if we enjoyed our food very poor establishment

This was probably our 4th visit and not been disappointed But, sadly they can no longer allow motorhomes to stay over in their car park, so this will probably be our last visit. Proper shame 😢

Have not been here for a few years well worth a visit. Food very good and staff are lovely.

It's a lovely place to come for a drink. The pub itself is comfy and old school with modern touches. The beer garden is very big with lots of seating. I have not eaten here but the food always looks good and a decent size. The only thing is the price but on the high side, but don't let that put you off, you get what you pay for here.

Food was really good, dogs are allowed inside in certain areas, pub looked nice, the server was straddling the line between attentive and annoying, but possibly because we were a front table she walked past to get yo everyone else.

Great meal here tonight, lovely outside space and cosy inside, we were served by Emma, bubbly and friendly nothing too much trouble, good choice on menu, will definitely be back next time we're in the area 👍

Lovely lunch today we had the Gammon & the Fishcakes, both meals were delicious. We were served by Lee who was very helpful and knowledgeable and a thoroughly nice guy. Thanks we will be back soon.

Usually the perfect place for dinner, just a Shane that on this visit, we had to put up with grizzling children for most of the meal, nothing the Bakers Arms could do about it, still one of my favourite dinner venues.

Nice pub on the outskirts of Poole near Lytchett, Wareham and Bere Regis. Friendly staff and nice pub grub!

Staff are brilliant / fantastic But the company letting its pubs and staff down big time Menu funny choice off food I don’t go to green king because off the crap triple cook chips lack off choice . Been a ex employee off vintage inns green man in Middleton by Tamworth and the Freemason Hampstead this chain is low in my books off expectations now ,,, shame

We had a lovely meal on 30th August. Just wished we’d found the Bakers Arms at the start of our holiday, and not at the end. Very friendly, welcoming and efficient staff, especially our waitress Chantelle. Thank you for a great experience.

Very kind, welcoming and good food.

We booked for 6 adults & 1 child & 1 infant. Very disinterested waiting staff didn't seem to want to be there. Once we got our drinks after a long wait, we ordered, only to be told there is a minimum of 45 mins wait for food. Why were we not informed when we gave drinks order? 3 various items were missed from our order. And we were not asked if we required anymore drinks at anytime during our meal. When paying, waiter ran off with my mobile to get a stamp ( did not ask permission). AND WHY a service charge because we were a table of 6 adults?

Came for drinks and a bite to eat with friends and wasn’t disappointed at all! Lush staff, food and atmosphere! Definitely coming back soon.

Stunning pub set in a little village Thatch roof and old world feeling inside plenty of parking and disabled too Inside old world.feeling very welcoming staff are lovely Food was unbelievable amazing tasty the.sunday roast amazing and very reasonably priced it's well worth a.visit And very dog friendly too

Really good food (lamb was Amazin) and excellent service from chrissie our server. This is our third visit now on a Sunday for roast from our caravan at rockley park. Parking is good a lovely garden and plenty of seating inside. Would recommend booking as does get busy on Sundays but so worth the wait 5*

Truly a beautiful restaurant that recalls a bit of the atmosphere of rural America. For our stopover in Poole we parked the campervan for the night and had dinner here. The food was good and the waitresses were very kind, we really felt at home.

Our whole party thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was excellent and the staff were lovely.

The only pub/restaurant in the area that were willing to host a party of 20 for our engagement party. Considering our party size, they did not compromise on quality or enthusiasm. The food was cooked to perfection!

Had a meet up with friends here. Nice atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. A little underwhelmed with choice of dessert. I had the Honeycombe bomb. Looks amazing but tastes less so. Wish I had stuck to sticky toffee pudding which is always fab. Will def return

Been to this restaurant twice in last 2 weeks as holidaying nearby. First time found the food overpriced and off average quality - £17 for a chicken burger which was overcooked and the food in general here is very overpriced for what it is - restaurant prices for pub food. Gave them the benefit of doubt and attended again yesterday. Starters were lovely and came out quickly with the kids meals. However the kids meals came out without the baked beans for both kids meals. We requested these and one portion came out but no the other. So requested again and the did eventually come out also but the kids had both pretty much finished by then. The restaurant did provide a free portion of chips (about 6-10 chips) to apologise and advised ther was a miscommunication issue. Mine a my partner’s mainothen came out but we had no cutlery as cleared away with starters so we had to wait and ss for more. The side order mushrooms I had ordered also didn’t come out so again we had to add for these and came half was through meal. My rump steak at £21.50 was requested rare but closer to well done and had quite a lot of gristle in. All in all a bit of a shambles and spoilt the experience. We we’re going to stay for a few drinks and puddings but decided against this in the end due to cost and service. The restaurant did refunds the cost of 1 beans and mushrooms knocking £5 off our £87 bill. We didn’t complain as they were clearly very busy. My advice would be to try St Peter’s Finger up the road where the food is similarly priced (expensive) but in a different league in terms of quality and the service is excellent.

Went Here For A Wake For Ray. Absolutely Brilliant Staff Food And Service. Would Recommend Any Time...

Ohh what a disappointment, was looking forward to having a bar lunch here, ordered Hunters chicken ,slow service but I thought that's ok will be fresh, Wrong, it came dry as a stick bacon almost black, I couldn't even cut it, I took it back and it was replaced and received an apology, again it took a while but it was nice, no one came near me to check everything was ok which I found surprising, sorry wouldn't return as my meal should never have been served in the first place.large carpark and dog friendly.

Normally a good value reliable pub for food and beer. However went again yesterday. Car park not busy. Ordered drinks and two mains. Not advised if a delay. After 45 minutes asked if there was a food delay and was told 40 minutes. Pointed out it was now at least 50 and 10 minutes later a sullen waitress dumped the meals on our table. Guess they were short staffed. The food was great but some communication in advance would have been nice and some acknowledgement of the delay.

Emily was our server and was absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and she was really friendly. Scored slightly lower on the food as although it was amazing, the roast potatoes were a bit hard (possibly used new pots instead of roasting ones) Will be back

First time here the food was excellent and nice friendly service had a lunchtime meal then in the evening my son and family joined us for an evening meal dog friendly we stopped over night in the motorhome in the large carpark

Just happened to stop off at the Bakers Arms. Had a Sunday trio roast. A good size roast that was nicely cooked. Also St Austell Summer Anthem ale was a nice way to wash it down. 😃😃

My wife, myself and our dog came here for Sunday lunch after a long walk in Affpuddle woods (highly recommend). Service was swift and friendly and the place is super dog friendly too. Opted for the Slow roasted belly pork for my wife and I had the Sunday Trio (belly pork, turkey and beef). All were cooked beautifully with plenty of roasted veg, tasty gravy and super crunchy crackling ( not denture friendly so beware)! We couldn't fit in desserts but my wife opted for a takeaway one so we all left very full and content. Drinks were reasonably priced and as a professional chef myself I wouldn't hesitate to come back again or recommend to friends and family. Keep doing what you're doing guys. Cheers.

For a spot next to a busy road this was a surprisingly peaceful haven! We stopped on a busy Friday afternoon for some food to let the worst of the Friday traffic go by. Food was good although I found my main course salad a bit insubstantial and less good value than my wife's wrap with fries. That said, food was tasty, table service efficient and atmosphere sunny and warm in the garden! Would recommend.

Serve, staff and food all brilliant. Surroundings pleasant we ate inside but they also have a nice outside sitting area.

Staff very courteous and friendly. Very good food with options for those who don't eat meat.

Lovely little pub situated near Poole. Was expecting slightly more variety on their menu, however, the food we did get was lovely. Great atmosphere in the place and friendly staff :)

We reserved a table in this lovely old pub. It's quintessentially Olde english with a great ambience. Unfortunately the menu had too much garlic used in the ingredients and we had to pass and move on. The food looked great and plentiful, but alas, we did not try it. Staff were very attentive and welcoming. Certainly worth a visit.

Friendly welcome and service. The food is hot, good and tasty. They have a great selection of drinks. I have visited a couple of times over the last few months and it has been constantly good. Sue and her team are very welcoming.

Fantastic Chicken, leak and bacon pie, with perfectly cooked veg. Superb service from Sarah too. First class!

Visited for Sunday lunch with my family whilst we were staying at a local campsite. Food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Service was excellent, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely return if I'm ever in the area again.

Beautiful thatched pub with welcoming atmosphere. I had Thai chicken curry which was large portion and very tasty. Lee our waitor was very helpful and attentive.

The family and I were very pleased with our meal and the service from Luke yesterday. He was lovely. Our family has a lot of food requirements and they were all met with a smile. Great time.

Where do I start! Amazing staff and venue. I was served by a lady called bethany, and a gentlemen unsure of his name. The bar and kitchen staff were very friendly and kind. I was given directions as well as given a leaflet for some local events. Food was amazing atmosphere was very joyful and professional. Highly rated pub for a family night out or even just a quick stop. 5 stars for this place can't wait to come back when I'm next down.
