Emily was fantastic catering to us tonight, had a meal out for a colleagues birthday and the food was delicious. Portion sizes are huge too! Will definitely be back.

Great food but it can be very hit and miss on some occasions. Always loved the duck parfait pate for a starter as an example.

Recently went for a Sunday lunch which was very nice

We arrived just before 5pm, for our pre-booked dining slot. We waited by the entrance 10 minutes, in that time there were 7 members of staff walking around, making drinks, coffees, placing orders, also clearly handing over day to evening shifts. Not one person acknowledged us. Eventually we were taking to a table by the most miserable young lady I've ever come across (we interrupted her whilst she was discussing her boxing classes with her colleague!). Another lady came over and took a drinks order, which was delivered relatively promptly. The same lady came back and took the food order, which was just five main courses, plus a kids garlic bread for starter. The garlic bread arrived about 10 minutes later. We then saw no one else for almost 1 hour. My husband went a spoke to a member of staff and was told that,because there had been a starter, our mains had been pushed to the back of the queue! It was kids garlic bread! The mains arrived relatively quickly after this (so an hour and 10 minutes after ordering.) The food was tasty and good portion sizes. We then ordered desserts and coffee. We were told there was no coffee, apart from decaf for milky drinks (apart from for filter coffee americanos). Our desserts and decaf coffees arrived pretty swiftly. I got up to pay, as there were no staff around to ask for the bill. There was some discount for the waiting time, but I'd rather have paid full price and had a good meal in good time, with staff that know how to smile! Overnight last night,my husband has been poorly, which we can only deduce is from the Signature Burger. All in all, really disappointing and will absolutely not be returning. When was the last hygiene inspection,out if interest?

Really good meals: Roast Sirloin of Beef and Turkey Roast. Good sized portions and wonderful gravy. Quite a long wait for main courses but we were warned of this on placing order. I wasn't surprised by the delay as the place was rammed with diners. By the time we ordered deserts the place quite quiet so I was disappointed by another long wait for deserts, eventually asking for refund as with a long journey still ahead of us we could wait no longer. We will be back......

Cold restaurant. Service hurried and food over cooked. Dogs in restaurants rarely works well. High price point for less than average venue.

Visited The Bakers Arms on a Sunday...Opens at 12. Really cosy atmosphere in the bar area, with a mix of rustic wooden tables and chairs, cosy lounge chairs and an open fire... Had the Sunday Roast, very nice indeed !!!!

Staff were friendly. Great that we could bring our dog. Great food and wonderful atmosphere

The roast dinner here on a Sunday is outstanding. Big portion, great value for money. The lamb was delicious and all the vegetables were perfect for my tastes. This is a classic country pub atmosphere with friendly staff and a comfortable decor.

Had the pleasure of a set menu 3 course meal Boxing day, Nothing I would change, look forward to visiting again. Thanks

The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was well cooked and hot apart from the chips that came with the steak which was slightly disappointing. The service was fantastic. The ladies that looked after us were friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Overall we had a lovely Boxing Day lunch and we will return.

Lovely Cosy pub with a real log fire and old wooden beams. Food was tasty and well cooked and presented nicely. Plenty of free parking too.

Well after waiting half a hour for drinks . He drops them all over my guest . Went to the men’s bathroom were it was flooded with pee &stunck and the total apologies were under renovation 🤔why on earth is it open then I said witch she replied I’ll get it fixed🤔 not any help . Totally disgraceful service from the service &staff at the BAKERS ARMS never again 😡

Service from start to finish was excellent didn’t feel rushed at all . It was a very calm atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious it was lovely . Cannot fault a thing had a lovely time .

Booked a table for our office christmas lunch. Staff very friendly and efficient. Disappointed though with the turkey dinner. no pigs in blankets included or cranberry sauce. Apart from 2 slices of turkey the plate was covered in cabbage with a few soft potatoes and parsnips buried within the cabbage. Very unappetising and not value for money or a true christmas dinner. The starters and desserts were OK though.

Lovely pub , 5 people who all had good meals , 1 happy dog who had a portion of chicken and lovely staff.

Reasonable price. Staff were lovely. Not a place for special occasions but ok for a midweek meal

Went for Christmas dinner today.. 2 course.. disappointed that you had to pay extra for pigs in blankets, you really would expect a pig in blanket on a Christmas dinner, wouldn't you ? Parsnips very hard, frozen sprouts. Roast potatoes not really very roasted. Very disappointing for the money.. Puddings were all lovely. ... won't be rushing back and definitely wouldn't be back for Christmas menu again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our Work Christmas lunch at the Bakers Arms. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. Easily accessible and plenty of parking too. Lovely festive atmosphere! Keep up the good work.

Fish finger sandwich was very bland and greasy and fried weren't seasoned - such a shame as I had heard good things about the pub! The man behind the bar was lovely though and he was a credit to the pub.

Lovely pub aesthetically, good service and very accommodating. Just a shame the food wasn't up to scratch. Our calamari starters were served warm at best which wasn't enjoyable and the 10oz Ribeye steak that I ordered was really poor quality. It was tough, gristley and overcooked. For £25 to serve it with tomatoes and chips and it be by far the worse thing on the plate spoke volumes. Our bill came to £105 for a 3 course meal and two soft drinks with two sides included and for the quality of what was served this was about £40 over priced.

On Sunday I booked dinner for two for Tuesday online and received confirmation after I'd made a lot of arrangements for my day and with my parner for the dinner. Monday I get informed that the whole business has a Quiz Night on a Tuesday! No warning on the website and not what you want when expecting a quiet intimate dinner setting with your partner! Booking cancelled! Not Good Enough and not how you go about running a restaurant business!

I visited for my birthday. The male waiter was lovely, the tables clean and the atmosphere nice. However, the service was slow, the food tepid and either under cooked or over cooked .

Took over three hours from start to finish. Two young children struggling to stay awake. That was for three courses.

The meals were fine but I was disgusted at the price of the drinks. £3.20 for HALF A PINT of lager £4.10 for HALF A PINT of non alcoholic lager We were planning to call in again next Thursday on our way to Poole BUT NOT AT THESE PRICES.

Unfortunately, my recent visit to The Bakers Arms was disappointing. The food was well below standard, with poor quality and lacking freshness or flavor. Additionally, the service left much to be desired—staff appeared inattentive and unaccommodating, making the experience feel unwelcoming. Overall, it did not meet expectations, and improvements in both food quality and customer service are urgently needed.

We had family staying and booked ,Sunday roast . Everything about our lunch was wonderful 😊 everyone enjoyed their meal,the staff were lovely! Thank you Baker's Arms for a really lovely family time, delicious food and kind staff, we all enjoyed it so much .

We stopped at The Bakers Arms for an early dinner before a show at Poole Lighthouse. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We only had a main course so can’t comment on starters or desserts. The main meals were tasty and well cooked and arrived promptly.

Extremely stingy with the gravy! Although beautifully presented the food was really dry with the tiniest splash of gravy in the pie annd mash special. I asked for gravy and got the tiniest amount, literally no more then a tablespoon.. It was extremely disappointing and difficult to eat. This is the second time thy have been stingy with the gravy, ( last time was a roast) otherwise a great night.

Staff are very friendly and the pub is dog friendly, they gave a big car park and good disability acces but the food is awful, you wait half an hour after ordering and it comes out cold, shall not be eating there again.

Very expensive for very average food. Drinks extortionate prices. Order from an app so very little service other than dumping the food when ready.

We’ve enjoyed meals at The Bakers Arms in the past, but sadly, after today’s experience, we won’t be returning. A group of six of us went for Sunday lunch, hoping for the reliable quality we’ve come to expect. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Though we all ordered together, only four meals arrived promptly. By the time the last two were served, the others had already finished eating. Most of the food served was cold, and the beef was disappointingly chewy. The Belly Pork, which was supposed to be served with a baked apple, came without it. When we asked the server, they simply shrugged and mentioned they’d run out, with no apology or alternative offered. Service overall was severely lacking. When we inquired about the delayed meals, we were told they might come out at different times due to being “on separate tickets”—despite two of the meals having been ordered by the same person, and still arriving separately. No one checked on our table to see if everything was okay, and even after we’d finished, plates remained uncleared. All in all, a very disappointing experience that left us feeling overlooked and undervalued as customers.

Been loads of times as it's so local an never had a bad meal

Great cleanliness including toilets, great food and service, Lee couldn't have been more helpful or cheerful if he tried, amazing guy! Nothing to improve upon. The 8 out of 10 is just me being a tight arse, I don't dine out often because of the expense.

Good pleasant friendly staff, well cooked vegetables potatoes, yorkshires and gravy, meats awful- very tough. No lamb! Waited over an hour for meal. Waited 30 mins for drinks. Wouldn't go back.

Had lunch at the Bakers Arms yesterday, Saturday. Good choice of dishes on the menu. We were a table of 4, and were all happy with the food, and service that we received from our server, Lee.

Had such a lovely meal. Served by Charlotte, who was friendly, chatty and went the extra mile to make us comfortable. What a girl, wish I could marry her!

Amazing food! Unfortunately this is where amazing ends. Staff… until today all great however be aware of a waitress Charlotte…. We were waiting good 20 min to pay the bill while she sat with a family next table bragging about how she married the boss etc 😂 is it why you still have a job Charlotte? 🙄

Charming dog friendly pub. Lovely open fire and ambiance. We experienced a lovely warm welcome, followed by lovely food and continued excellent service from our waiter Steve. First class service, thank you and we will be back.

Visited Saturday 19th October Me and my friend came into the pub for dinner. As soon as we walked into the pub we were greeted with a friendly face and a warm welcome. We were quickly shown to our table, ordered our drinks and informed on the wait time which we were more than happy with. Our food was amazing and the service by Emily was great. Will definitely be back!

Fine for a quiet convivial lunch

Great food, good choice and friendly helpful staff. We very much enjoyed our main courses followed by mini desserts and hot drinks. Desserts all sounded lovely but main portions were generous meaning we only had room for mini and a coffee.

We had the most enjoyable meal where we were taken care of by our waiter Steve. He was very polite, personable and efficient. He made us so very welcome and our food came within a few minutes of ordering. We would highly recommend this pub for socialising or eating and will definitely return.

Well, as mentioned before, we've been back to The Bakers Arms and again enjoyed the delicious Sunday roast. We were escorted to our table and served by the lovely Chrissie. The whole experience was excellent again, so we will definitely be back!

Waitress was lovely, but was on her own trying to service a large number of tables, so service a bit slow but she was very attentive

This was probably our 4th visit and not been disappointed But, sadly they can no longer allow motorhomes to stay over in their car park, so this will probably be our last visit. Proper shame 😢

Have not been here for a few years well worth a visit. Food very good and staff are lovely.

It's a lovely place to come for a drink. The pub itself is comfy and old school with modern touches. The beer garden is very big with lots of seating. I have not eaten here but the food always looks good and a decent size. The only thing is the price but on the high side, but don't let that put you off, you get what you pay for here.

Food was really good, dogs are allowed inside in certain areas, pub looked nice, the server was straddling the line between attentive and annoying, but possibly because we were a front table she walked past to get yo everyone else.

Nice pub on the outskirts of Poole near Lytchett, Wareham and Bere Regis. Friendly staff and nice pub grub!

Usually the perfect place for dinner, just a Shane that on this visit, we had to put up with grizzling children for most of the meal, nothing the Bakers Arms could do about it, still one of my favourite dinner venues.

Been a ex employee off vintage inns green man in Middleton by Tamworth and the Freemason Hampstead this chain is low in my books off expectations now ,,, shame

We had a lovely meal on 30th August. Just wished we’d found the Bakers Arms at the start of our holiday, and not at the end. Very friendly, welcoming and efficient staff, especially our waitress Chantelle. Thank you for a great experience.

We booked for 6 adults & 1 child & 1 infant. Very disinterested waiting staff didn't seem to want to be there. Once we got our drinks after a long wait, we ordered, only to be told there is a minimum of 45 mins wait for food. Why were we not informed when we gave drinks order? 3 various items were missed from our order. And we were not asked if we required anymore drinks at anytime during our meal. When paying, waiter ran off with my mobile to get a stamp ( did not ask permission). AND WHY a service charge because we were a table of 6 adults?

Really good food (lamb was Amazin) and excellent service from chrissie our server. This is our third visit now on a Sunday for roast from our caravan at rockley park. Parking is good a lovely garden and plenty of seating inside. Would recommend booking as does get busy on Sundays but so worth the wait 5*

Truly a beautiful restaurant that recalls a bit of the atmosphere of rural America. For our stopover in Poole we parked the campervan for the night and had dinner here. The food was good and the waitresses were very kind, we really felt at home.
