This is the most incredible, fantabulous, life-altering food I have ever had. I would eat if for breakfast, lunch and dinner if I could. The chef is a cutie patootie who is so lovely and an incredible chef. I come here as often as I can. I have a job so I can come here more often to eat the food. You may think I am joking but I am deadly serious this is the best food I have ever eaten In. My. LIFE. I dread moving away from Plymouth because I can't stand to think I won't be able to eat this food often. GO HERE!!!!!

disappointed in the brunch i had here today. ordered a crumpet benedict which was £12 then had to pay an extra £3.50 just if i wanted smoked salmon with it. for the price of the add on i wasn’t expecting rations of salmon. being by the sea you’d think they wouldn’t be short of salmon but clearly they were as they were so reluctant to put it on my plate. also the eggs were ridiculously over cooked and yolks were not runny which is kind of key for an eggs royale. overall very disappointed for the price i paid. they clearly spent too much time making the dish look pretty and not enough time making it taste good. very pretentious and overpriced will not be back. cute decor tho.

A must visit. Not being from Plymouth we wanted good food and good value place to get a bite to eat. Luckily we found “Salt & Pepper Kitchen” after reading some views. What a welcome from Ervis, full of smiles and genuine warmth. We chose sit inside but they have a few tables outside. The food is locally sourced and home made. The loaded fries with pulled pork was delicious. As was the Seasonal Turkey panini.. with all the trimmings & proper cut thick turkey breast. Really exceptional value! The cafe is convenient for the centre. Very clean and cosy. With a good menu selection. If we were local this would be easily a favourite place to visit. Why not give it a try.. we are sure you won’t be disappointed.. thank you Ervis! You really know how to treat your customers.

Stop off here weekly for coffee as it’s the best coffee in town. Staff are always super friendly and although a small shop always has a nice atmosphere. Last few times I’ve gone to visit and passed by, the shop has been closed. Hope this is only temporary and not permanent!

Likeable unassuming corner neighbourhood coffee shop, although I came for the repair of a leather strap on a bag. Met an affable guy, showed him the worn weak point and asked whether it was their type of work getting the response ‘ it’s what we do, run of the mill, pays the bills’ and I was told to come back midday tomorrow. I did but was told the right coloured piece of leather hadn’t arrived and I should return a day or so later. When I did it was not the cobbler but the friendly female server disappeared into another room returning quickly with bag which had the strap end bound roughly but tightly with strong dark thread. No comment or explanation. The charge was £10, less than I’d been warned. It solved my problem but I was a bit disappointed given the previous chat and more so because when I drove past a minute later I could see the cobbler behind the counter. It might seem petty and it hasn’t put me off ever returning, but he could have shown his face and told me what he’d done and whether it will hold up.

This was our first visit here and it certainly won't be our last. We took our dog, Meg, and we were all made very welcome by Naomi and Gavin. The breakfasts we had are most definitely the best in Plymouth. My husband had the Pitstop Breakfast, and the quality of the ingredients was the best. It was a lovely, big breakfast, and he was almost defeated by it, which is a first! I had the Veggie Benediction, which was delicious, and Meg had a honey roast sausage, which I'm sure she loved as she had eyes as big as saucers! I loved the decor, too. It brought back memories of my biker days. Value for money was excellent. I can't wait to go back.

I would never of gone in there. It was pouring with rain, rather than get soaked I popped in. What I received was a very warm welcome and a very good breakfast type meal. It was excellent value for money, cooked to perfection. As and when I visit the area, I will pop in again to enjoy good food at a good price.

We like the bread and the snack food here, as well as the friendly staff and atmosphere inside and out. When we go it’s generally busy. Came down this Wednesday and saw the chalk board sign with new times Thursday to Saturday only. There was nothing about this on the website and we hope that it’s only temporary.

This was our first visit on a beautiful spring Sunday lunchtime. I had seen the menu on Facebook and I wanted to try the lasagne. Staff were friendly and service prompt. The food portions were not massive but fine and more importantly the food was well cooked and of quality. Will return.
