I would never of gone in there. It was pouring with rain, rather than get soaked I popped in. What I received was a very warm welcome and a very good breakfast type meal. It was excellent value for money, cooked to perfection. As and when I visit the area, I will pop in again to enjoy good food at a good price.

A wonderfully, welcoming cafe with an excellent location. Food and drink is very reasonably priced and staff are very friendly. The cafe has a lovely, chilled atmosphere and all the little touches make it a really pleasant place to sit and enjoy a coffee. Will definitely be back.

I visited this café with my almost 3 year old & baby, and we both absolutely loved it. It felt safe, open and the atmosphere was relaxed. My son loved the bubble tube and sensory tent. It was actually a struggle to get him to leave. I should also add that the prices are really reasonable and the staff are absolutely fantastic. It was just lovely to visit a café with my son where we didn’t feel people were judging us.

My family and I visited this cafe last monday (24th June) and it was brilliant. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at the cafe and when my son had a meltdown (he is Autistic) the staff didn't flutter an eye lid. The food and drink is lovely and in very reasonable priced. We would definitely recommend this cafe and all the great work the staff do.

A must visit. Not being from Plymouth we wanted good food and good value place to get a bite to eat. Luckily we found “Salt & Pepper Kitchen” after reading some views. What a welcome from Ervis, full of smiles and genuine warmth. We chose sit inside but they have a few tables outside. The food is locally sourced and home made. The loaded fries with pulled pork was delicious. As was the Seasonal Turkey panini.. with all the trimmings & proper cut thick turkey breast. Really exceptional value! The cafe is convenient for the centre. Very clean and cosy. With a good menu selection. If we were local this would be easily a favourite place to visit. Why not give it a try.. we are sure you won’t be disappointed.. thank you Ervis! You really know how to treat your customers.

We like the bread and the snack food here, as well as the friendly staff and atmosphere inside and out. When we go it’s generally busy. Came down this Wednesday and saw the chalk board sign with new times Thursday to Saturday only. There was nothing about this on the website and we hope that it’s only temporary.

Stop off here weekly for coffee as it’s the best coffee in town. Staff are always super friendly and although a small shop always has a nice atmosphere. Last few times I’ve gone to visit and passed by, the shop has been closed. Hope this is only temporary and not permanent!

disappointed in the brunch i had here today. ordered a crumpet benedict which was £12 then had to pay an extra £3.50 just if i wanted smoked salmon with it. for the price of the add on i wasn’t expecting rations of salmon. being by the sea you’d think they wouldn’t be short of salmon but clearly they were as they were so reluctant to put it on my plate. also the eggs were ridiculously over cooked and yolks were not runny which is kind of key for an eggs royale. overall very disappointed for the price i paid. they clearly spent too much time making the dish look pretty and not enough time making it taste good. very pretentious and overpriced will not be back. cute decor tho.
