What an amazing place this is. Have been coming here for a while now. The owners and staff are lovely, so polite and friendly and very helpful, even when they are rushed off their feet. I also bring some of my choir ladies here for an afternoon of coffee and cake (usually 10-15 of them) and they absolutely love it. Please don't take any notice of the trolls who moan on here , they've probably never been here and just need to get a life. (Best coffee in town my husband says and he's a coffee addict).

Shocked at all the different foods and treats. They looked absolutely delicious, couldn't make up my mind which to have, choice was vast. Going there again soon

We always get our coffees at Lisbon, because we’re fussy! It’s a great place to eat excellent food, very good value, with a friendly vibe thanks to the lovely staff. The bakery goods are gorgeous, v hard to resist. This place is a a gem in an unlikely corner of the city centre.

Absolutely disgusting and terrifying! We had lunch as a family of four there. The waitress was not nice or kind at all. Food was average but far away from what a portuguese food tastes like it. At the end of our lunch we thought it would be a good idea take a few traditional portuguese cakes home: OH MY GOODNESS what an absolutely mistake! They were not fresh at all. And I can tell they were baked and heated days and days ago! Absolutely disgusting! Just sharing this comment so people will not be curious of visiting. What a waste of time!

They make very nice coffees and have a wide variety of delicious portuguese cakes, cookies, and pasties.

This place is amazing. Really good food and an excellent location. Very deserving of all the praise they get. I would say try it 100%.

Good service good food. I do think the waiters attitude to Gluten Free was really bad. He said it makes too much to cater for those with allergies to Gluten. He also said it's not compatible with Portuguese food. In Portugal the Portuguese people don't bother with gluten free food.

BOYCOTT PLYMOUTH STARBUCKS!!! Lisbon is THE BEST coffee in Plymouth, SO AFFORDABLE, and unbelievably fast. Why would you stand for 10 minutes for a £5 coffee when you can sit for two minutes and receive a £2.50 coffee of better quality and taste!

A cute little bakery and restaurant for Portuguese dishes.

Great Portuguese cakes, food, beer and wine. Service is familiar and professional. Not in the most touristic part of town but is worth a visit. They have special dishes on weekends, I only had the chance to try the regular menu and the cod and steak sandwiches are top quality full of flavour and meat.

Absolutely yummy Full English!! Bargain 🤑 too! We'll definitely be back 🙂

I have been in the cafe for breakfast which is very nice. Today I popped in for cakes to take away, fruit tart, vanilla cake and also purchased 2 cod fish cakes. Absolutely all delicious. The service is always very pleasant. Absolutely worth a visit 🤩

Cracking bakery/restaurant. Popped in here with a couple of friends this morning had veggie breakfasts that were well cooked and presented. We were sat by the door but didn't feel cold at all and it was lovely to be able to admire all the traditional Portuguese cakes for sale along with bread and savoury treats. There is also a selection of cold meats. Of course on my return home I enjoyed one of the delicious cakes straight away. Thank you

Very nice little cafe. Lost a star due to a rather miserable welcome. But can't fault the food or service.

I've been 3 times now. The vegetarian breakfast is excellent. All the food looks great, though, including the sweets and cakes from the counter. Coffee is excellent, staff very friendly. Can't ask for anymore from a traditional cafe. Always busy, I'm sure with locals who know the best cafes. If you're visiting Plymouth, make the effort to go to the bottom end of town away from the main shops, You won't be disappointed.

Great coffee and fabulous home made cakes and pastries. You must try the egg custard tarts! The English breakfast is yummy and very filling.

My wife and I always pop in for a cup of the excellent coffee if we're down that end of town, and I can't help having at least one Pastel de Nata (cream tart) to go with it. For lunch I have one of the fab Bifana sandwiches. Need to break out of my comfort zone and try something else next time ;-)

This is one of my favourite places to eat in Plymouth. The setting is both clean and charming. It makes me feel like I am sitting in a European city. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious, and the service is super fast, even on a busy day. It is also very reasonably priced, especially when choosing from the breakfast options. The vegetarian breakfast is lovely. My son loves the biscuits and pastries that are on offer, so we often grab one to go. This place also sells the best coffee in town. It's far nicer than the well-known coffee chains. I definitely recommend you visit if you're in the area.

Such a little gem to stumble upon, authentic European vibe. Kind, accommodating and friendly staff! Extremely affordable and very high quality coffee and pastries! We spoke to a lovey man working there who even gave us some tips for our upcoming trip to Lisbon! Would 100% recommend popping in and taking away some pasteis de nata! 🫶🏼

The staff are always so accommodating. The perfect value vs taste cafe. You will not find a better coffee and cake for a cheaper price than at Lisbon Bakery, period. You always leave feeling like you forgot to pay for something but its just that good! Ditch the Costa, and try some real artisan cakes, coffee and meals at Lisbon and you will not regret it. A true local gem and a perfect spot if your a student with time for a cat up with friends in between exams. Also, look up if you're visiting. They have an amazing selection of alcohol within variety you would struggle to find anywhere else in the city. The lemoncello will happily make the transition between meal to cake a flawless experience 😋 💎

This is by far the best bakery/restaurants I've been to in a long time. Just had the full English breakfast, very tasty and exceptional value for money. The pastries are to die for, make a detour you won't regret it.

Unexpected, fabulous place to eat in Plymouth. Perhaps the best salt cod I have ever had, a fabulous steak sandwich and proper Portuguese chips. Thoroughly recommended.

For the two days we had in Plymouth this was our number one spot, we were going to go there on our second night for dinner but it closes at 6pm. Splendid coffee but the highlight was the cakes best natas I've tasted, also had a orange cake which was superb. Will go again when we go back

Always friendly and with a great menu of authentic Portuguese dishes and english options too. We came for lunch for a friends birthday and they went above and beyond with a candle for his dessert. Highly recommend Lisbon Bakery and its always clean.

You won’t find an independently run restaurant with the quality of service, food and atmosphere quite like this for miles. An absolute must visit if you are looking for pastries or savoury foods with a hot drink.

Amazing Pasteis de nata. This is still one of my "go to" places. During lock down it meant "going to" meant preordering and distance collecting at the loading bay. Now they've got the tables and chairs out the front as well as tables inside. Pork and clams is a periodic treat, but you have to watch for it being announced on the day (typically a Saturday). They do a really good breakfast as well A great family business

First time visit with my wife. We simply had a double espresso each and I ordered a Pastel Nata. There was a welcoming warm atmosphere and wonderful smell of coffee. The coffee was top notch and the Pastel Nata crunchy and creamy, absolutely delicious just the way I was hoping it’d be. The price was very reasonable, less than expected, service very efficient and pleasant. We will come back for full meal next time.

Very good breakfast at a reasonable price

I've just been to Lisbon again, but this time with a friend who isn't open to change. I had to convince her to try it and she loved it! We had a small breakfast each which is always substantial and cooked to perfection. No grease! The staff are always friendly there. My son and another friend love it there too....and now I've converted this friend. The homemade cakes sold there are amazing! I've just treated my son to a selection of their tarts. Wonderful place! Obrigado....thank you.
