We went for lunch on a Saturday. It's large, bright and clean. There is an extensive menu, something for everybody, with reasonable prices. We were given a warm welcome. Decent coffee. All food cooked to order and served piping hot. We will definitely be going back.

Always a great meal and great atmosphere recomend it anytime.

I've had heaps of fry ups over the years but the Full English brekkie here hits a different spot. The staff are also incredibly friendly. Located in an industrial neighborhood, you can feel that it's the local spot, which is always a good sign.

Ham and mushroom omelette with salad and 8 item breakfast. Omelette was stuffed with ham and Mushrooms,I'm rubbish at making omelettes and this one was faultless. The 8 item breakfast hit the spot with my daughter and the sausages were delicious! Thoroughly fat and full after! Great service and hosting by Al and his team. Well done guys,keep up the tasty food!

Wow.. we made it to Al’s kitchen at last. Absolutely fantastic food, the best tuna salad I’ve ever had and dad thought his omelette was the best too. First visit but wont be the last 😘thanks Al for a great lunch 🙂 — feeling full.

Large and very clean. A warm welcome from the staff. Nothing is a problem, you can almost have whatever you want. Prices are very reasonable. The food was hot and good quality, served quickly. Decent coffee. All in all 10/10.

I visit Al's on a regular basis often working from there the whole day. The staff are lovely, funny and forever helpful. The food is very good and at a good price. the place is spotless with notes on the table informing you that it has been cleaned and sanitised. The room is a nice place to be. His jacket spuds are enormous and the bacon sandwiches awesome, Not being a fan of a barista machine they do have filter coffee which is good. They do have a barista machine for all the mocha, chocca, locca coffees and chocolates that others enjoy. I thoroughly recommend a visit to this place with plenty pf parking there's no reason not too

Another amazing breakfast when we all had different things. Pancakes, bacon roll, a 5 item breakfast and a 8 item breakfast everything perfectly cooked and no problem supplying an extra plate for our 2 year old. Our 4 year old grandson Noah adores Al and makes sure Al sees him to say hello and goodbye, an amazing part of our day celebrating Noahs first school report. We will be back again very soon thankyou Al xx

This is a great place for breakfast, lunch brunch ! Easy parking, friendly staff and freshly prepared, cooked tasty food ! Very spacious inside, meticulously clean and very dog friendly. Lovely varied menu and my favourite at the moment is omelette with the most amazing large salad or/and chips ! Omelette cooked to perfection, with cheese and mushroom a good choice. Always looking forward to my next lunch visit to Al's. Thankyou.

Fantastic place run by a great guy! Not at all pretentious. Just good honest food at cracking prices. Always cooked freshly and you can tell.families and dogs are welcome Als also has full disabled access. Ive even seen Al stop cooking to help a disabled customer! I cannot reccomend Als enough! A true hidden gem! Ill be coming back again and again!

Delivered breakfast at very short notice to a landscaping job site this morning. Was pleasantly surprised to receive two hot breakfasts cooked to perfection at a very reasonable price. Top service.

Als' kitchen is a lovely place to go breakfast, lunch or tea or, to meet up with friends for a coffee. It is kept very clean and you feel safe going there. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Fantastic English breakfasts cooked to order. Good tea and coffee. Very friendly staff. Easy parking. We stayed at the Travelodge in Derriford and it was an easy 5-10 minute drive here fir breakfast. Well worth it.

As cafes go this is no ordinary cafe this is Als cafe, he will cater for anyone and everyone if there is something not on his menu he will go and make it for you (ring ahead to check). If you have an allergy he will make the food a different way to cater for you. He is one of kind and well worth the trip out there. His tables are cleaned and very covid safe with all precautions in place. Go check it out. 😀

You really have to come to Al's if you enjoy a good English breakfast. Never before have I came across a cafe that does hogs pudding!! Its served hot, tastes incredible my mouth waters just thinking about it :) very reasonable prices, fantastic friendly service. Always very clean and tidy. My now go to place for breakfast. You won't leave disappointed.

We had an amazing turkey, stuffing and cranberry roll there! No scrimping of ingredients here, the roll was full and tasted amazing (also warm!!) We stop by every time we pass now! Friendly smiling service as well! Can’t go wrong!

Called ahead and reserved a table on route from West Cornwall, arrived early which wasn’t a problem staff very welcoming. Covid guidelines done well. Outstanding value at full price, however we did get 50% off with the government scheme, So £10.05 for 3 large breakfasts with 3 hot drinks and toast! Fantastic food and service thank you!

The food is cooked fresh and all ways hot lots to choose from the portions are very good staff very friendly what else do you want will definitely be back when everything is settled down with the virus see you soon

Als Kitchen is really affordable and you get a lot of value for the money. The place is clean, tidy and service is quick and easy. I’m really surprised by how affordable items are, only £5 or so, compared to other places which charge up to £10-12 per person. Not a local, but will be coming back when I’m down this way.

If you have never worked in a factory but would like to experience the canteen?! Then this is the place for you( The mint smell is not from the factory down the road, this place use to be a toothpaste factory**of course a joke no smell**) This place is old school ( in a good way) What ever you think you can’t knock the food or the prices, I have to give Al that...your hard work payed off Would I visit again? Cheeseburger was bland, without requested salad, and the patty looked like it came from a Rustlers burger which could provide just as much disappointment for less than 1/3rd the price. Chips portion size has been decreasing steadily over the years, now seems to be but a handful. Very expensive for what you get, shall not be going back. Used to be fantastic food for the price but quality has fallen a lot. Friendly staff and nice bright atmosphere.

Where do I start I've worked in the same building as Al's cafe for nearly 8 years now I've seen many different people trying to make a go of the cafe but to no avail prices were high food quality was low and no atmosphere well this has changed ever since Al and His Merry staff of three women has changed it around I'm going through bad times at home with my sick wife and look forward to seeing them all as they cheer me up we have a laugh and good food what more does a man want

Have eaten here on a number of occasions. Service is always exemplary. As for the owner he is the most gentle kind man if you treat him kindly. The Cockney bird singing in the kitchen will have you in fits of laughter. All in all a great place to eat

The friendliest place to eat! The food is great, with a wide range of options. The staff and the owners are welcoming,friendly and fun. It's always clean and I've never had a bad experience there. Breast feeding friendly too, which is always a good thing. I can highly recommended this place.

I have the good fortune to work close by to Al,s Kitchen and have never had cause to regret going in there. Al and his staff are lovely people and will always do their best to accommodate any food requests that they may get.

Fuimos a almorzar con algunos amigos y ¡qué gran lugar, el personal fue muy amable incluso cantando, junto con su jefe, que fue estupendo ver, sin duda hizo un gran ambiente. El precio y las raciones eran excelentes y, como era mi primera visita a la calle, el Jefe vino personalmente para ver si estábamos contentos con todo y con un tipo tan agradable. Un buen café todo el año vale la pena una visita.

I use this cafe daily as its close to my work place, The Breakfasts are great & also my favorite are the Fajita's for £3.50 they are far better here than most Mexican restaurants i have been in. The Chicken burger is better than the well known fast food restaurant. Order a chicken burger with ,bacon BBQ sauce,hash brown and cheese & you will not be disappointedLunchtimes are busy but as a rule of thumb that i use if a place is busy then usually thats for a good reason. If you need food ready to go i call in advance and its ready upon arrival.

On the over ambitiously named Plymouth Airport Business Centre site is a medium sized cafe, a bit like a works or office canteen but open not only to those working close but the public and all comers. When I was here for lunch it was busy and friendly, all ranks and conditions. Very helpful and efficient at the counter, a selection of varied and basic cafe food readily available with only a short wait for freshly cooked items. And it's not expensive. Didn't seem remotely subsidised, just no hard money drive and sufficient custom to make it pleasant and viable. Unlikely I will be in this precise area of the northern fringe of the city again but am happy to recommend Al's for what it is. The Airport has of course long since closed with no prospect of resurrection.
