Pancakes with bacon and maple syrup are the best I've ever had.

Never disappoints - the food quality and drinks amazing and the taste is fantastic. Great menu, lovely staff. Would recommend to all.

Best brunch in Plymouth. I’m a brunch girl and I’ve eaten all over the world. The Harissa/ eggs and avocado was easily the best brunch I’ve had in a long time. The pancakes were a delicious treat with literally cherries on the top. Impressive menu, cool vibe (think cool art and old school chairs) and a central location. They even sell vinyl..We will be back!

Absolutely perfect. Really nice selection of tempting brunch type dishes. Tasty, well seasoned, and lovely presentation. Delicious coffees obviously made by staff who know what they are doing. Totally recommend a visit.

Just far enough away from the shopping, the universities and tripper land beyond Sutton Harbour. Always welcoming, good snack choices and affable laid back punters. Not sure what the current booze format is. It would be good to spend an hour or so with a half or full bottle of a light fruity red.

It's a nice and pleasant café on the outskirts of the barbican in Plymouth. It's more of what people often call Hipster locations, people talking with Walter Mitty tongue amongst themselves but loud enough for the neighbouring table to hear 😁. Nice tables and seating outside, service is rather good\excellent..

Really good decaf coffee, lovely service and the cinnamon bun was delicious. Will definitely be back.

We had Halloumi, hash brown, fried egg muffin with a cup of tea and it was absolutely delicious!!! It was relaxed and friendly, with great service! Will definitely go again !!

The food was amazing and so was the coffee; perfectly roasted, even the kids menu was very tasty. Our 1 year old is not a fan of eating in general but she absolutely loved the banana toast fingers. Thank you for an amazing experience for our whole family. Regret not finding this gem earlier but will definitely be back a lot! 🤩

Takeaway cups are very small for the price, it would be better if they were bigger because of the price a s how quickly it goes. However, Very good coffee though.

Food was lovely and they were very accommodating. I had the blueberry pancakes and a latte which were wonderful. I will admit staff were a bit sassy which was a shame.

Minerva Cafe has a bright fresh layout with a delicious menu and great looking cakes. We stopped by to check it out and were so glad we did. The bacon, Brie and cranberry sourdough toastie was a taste sensation. A cheeky chai laté and some hash browns to set it off. Definitely worth a visit

I loved my visit to Minerva and I can tell it’s a place I’ll be going back to time and time again! The staff blew me away with how kind and helpful they were! Can’t wait for my next visit. Ps. It was hands down the best chai latte I’ve ever put in my mouth!

Difficult to fault their breakfasts. Stacked plate of local bacon, eggs, bread and additional halloumi and nutty dukkah for under a tenner. Friendly service to boot. And some records and clothing to tempt you. Coffee also spot on as always. Way WAY better than nearby hotel offerings and cheaper.

Went 2 times. I love the atmosphere. Feels cosy and makes me feel like home, especially love the music choice. Staff are sweet:) Be aware it's moist and smoky in here because of the cooking, which I personally like. they can make everything vegan :) The seasonal xmas sub was amazing! mint hot chocolate also nice. The vegan bap was ok, had some weird vegan egg in it, don't recommend that one.

Visited for brunch with my partner. We ordered coffees and two brunch dishes and paid around £27, which is overpriced for one slice of bread and a breakfast bap. Everyone that came after us had eaten, but we were still waiting - only after asking we found out that our food order had been missed. They offered drinks on the house to apologise as least. Most importantly, the inside space was full of fry up smoke, very uncomfortable to breathe in and both of us left with our clothes stinking of frying…

I’ve been regularly coming here for several months now and it has quickly become my favourite and go to spot. The staff are lovely and always make me feel welcomed and safe. I haven’t had much of their food yet but I definitely plan on changing that when I can. Their warm drinks in particular are fantastic (I’d particularly recommend their hot chocolate) and they have a great selection of other drinks as well. If you’re in the area, I couldn’t recommend a venue more! ☺️

Such a great atmosphere and ambience. Really enjoyed the food here and the price was very reasonable. Great service and attention to detail in the meal. One of the best chai lattes I've had! Had a browse around the shop part too which was well stocked. A true 5-star gem in Plymouth!

The breakfast bap is the best in plymouth!

I came here for the first time today. Apparently it has been here for 2 years but I didn't even know, and I have lived in Plymouth most of my life lol. I went for the breakfast bap which is bacon egg and hash brown. I asked for my bacon to be cooked well done. When it arrived it looks amazing! The egg was a proper egg with nice runny yolk, the bacon was done to perfection, which not a lot of cafes tend to do. It was so delicious, I had to tell the owner how amazing it was, the best Breakfast bap ever! 10/10! If you love breakfast baps you need to come to the Minerva Cafe! You will not regret it!!

First visit for several months. Several changes give more covers and create a more open and relaxed feel. The shop area has combined into the cafe and the clothing stock choices have been reduced but are still an enticing selection. The kitchen has been enlarged and turned through ninety degrees and is more open and seductive. Minerva Cafe is plainly popular and has a pleasant buzz.

Delicious cheese and Kimchi sandwich. Will be back.

I found this gem a few months ago on a friend's recommendation and I was not disappointed. The food is delicious and always hits the spot, their coffee is always well balanced due to them hiring passionate Barista's. I always recommend people to visit here. I would struggle to find someone who is ever disappointed.

Lou and Dan have created a proper special place, a hub of all the best vibes, coffee and food. Mega toasties that cannot be beaten, small plate nights and brunches that I often dream about. The friendliest and most forward thinking space, cultivating an amazing and creative community. Keep an eye on all their events - it’s cool af!

Honestly the best grilled cheese i have EVER had (vegan chikn and walnut pesto)!!! Delicious coffee and cake too 😍 and the staff are always lovely!

It is a place I want to succeed. We visited on a small plate evening. It was amazing food and service. Only thing for me was the seats could have been a bit more comfortable, this wasn't a huge issue though. Minerva is limited by its size. They are operating at a level where I believe they could be in a slightly larger premises. I recommend booking in advance.

For some reason, it's tough to find cafes who do the simple things right but this one delivers. It has great coffee, great design elements, great service and great value for money. Bacon bap is loaded with good quality bacon and the bread is fantastic. I watch like a hawk when people make me coffee and these guys know how it's done. Coffee was nicely balanced with enough character to make it interesting and nothing was burned or rushed. For a 'cool' cafe, they do a great job of not seeming pretentious and exclusive, but are welcoming and attentive. Menu is interesting without being overcomplicated, and the decor is light and fresh. Bravo.

Popped by this afternoon. Really good coffee. Enjoyed our food too, loved the creative combinations of ingredients. Nice little addition to Bretonside. We will be back again soon (with Dog in tow too) love that it’s dog friendly as can be limited in Plymouth.

Fab friendly chilled cafe for coffee & food + it’s dog friendly 🌟 Would highly recommend the sourdough cookies and their homemade beans on toast! The incense sticks from the clothing/homeware shop are by far the best I’ve used so definitely have a look when you visit :)

The food was great but poor service. The waitress forgot to make my coffee dispute the fact it was super quiet. They were too busy chatting to each other. Plus they wouldn’t let my boyfriend order the kid’s hot chocolate.

We live around the corner and this is our go-to spot for breakfast, coffee and cake ( cake oh yest so homemade and healthy ) and brunch and lunch. Not just us but we take our friends and family. Very friendly, good value for money and somewhere just that bit special.

Wow, great amazing breakfast brunch! Coffee was good and so was their sweet treats! I had my doubts due to low number of reviews but honestly best breakfast I have had in wild.

Banging coffee and food (the grilled cheeses [vegan options are available] and brunch are especially good). Exclusive clothing and merch are also available (pricey but quality). You can also buy house plants here, its dog friendly, the staff are personable, and its comfortable. It also has art and whiskey nights, so a lot to like here!

Independent cafe using locally sourced products when possible, selling sustainable products (at a pretty penny), and playing some of the best tunes available

The vegan breakfast options are great and the porridge bar is excellent value and a great addition to the menu. I highly recommend the dark chocolate, banana and sea salt caramel sauce combo! Super friendly staff and the atmosphere/decor is immaculate. Hope to see the cafe and shop continue to succeed :)
