An English breakfast can range from bland to a real treat. The breakfast at Coffee Time can not be beaten! The produce is of top quality, cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. The cafe itself is bright and spotless and the staff so friendly and obliging. The decor gives the feeling you are eating in a holiday town, a bit of escapism whatever the weather.

Looking for somewhere to have lunch and a cuppa and this place looked so welcoming from the street and it was from the moment we walked through the door. Service was excellent, recommend the omelette which was customised and beautifully presented. Comfortable seating area inside or outside. All round delicious.

Staff and owner friendly efficient and helpful - breakfast and coffee the best - cannot recommend enough - their main competitor in Plymouth has been Lisbon but Coffee Time jus blows them out of the water IMHO - in particular Lisbon can be unhelpful and on occasion downright rude - I shall be sticking with coffee time in future.

Lovely spot, the outside is much nicer than the pictures here (they've clearly done some work since then). It was a warm sun trap on the morning we went. The staff and owner are absolutely lovely--the kind of service you don't usually get these days: attentive (without being intrusive), wonderful service, and very friendly. If you're looking for a warm environment with great service to have drinks and a snack or a meal, I would definitely recommend visiting this place.

We were looking for a place to have lunch. We found this Gem of a place and we are so happy that we did. We ordered off the new menu. We shared bagels 1 smoked salmon, cream cheese and dill and 1 Smashed Avocdo, chilli and lime. Both were delicious. We had a pot of tea for 2 served in beautiful cups and Saucers. When I went to pay I bought 3 Pastel del Nadas to take away. They were delicious. We will be back.

Visited today for lunch with my elderly Mother. We had a lovely meal with drinks. The service was exemplary especially the care and understanding with my mother. Many thanks to the staff and we have no hesitation recommending the diner and will most certainly visit again in the fut.

Lovely cakes so nice I couldn’t choose and had chocolate orange and then apple pie naughty I know but a real treat with friendly atmosphere we felt right at home. We come here every time we stay in Plymouth and wind down from the long drive with several cups of tea and a coffee

We were wandering around the West End this morning, looking for a bite to eat, and noticed ‘Coffee Time’ - have a drink and a think! We popped in there for a coffee, sat in the window seat and ended up ordering a full English breakfast and 2 lattes. The service is impeccable. A friendly smile, a lovely greeting and nicely served coffees, followed by decent toast and then our breakfasts. Fresh, tasty and fairly fast on service…. We made it back to the motor within the hour and had a nice relaxing time whilst we ate! There is a gentle buzz there - nice blinds, simple decor, not too loud or too hot - plus seats outside. All in all, worth a lunch time visit, to explore the menu further….. They also offer a great sandwich menu and the staff are really nice. 10 out of 10 - or is it 5 on here? Five stars all the way, in my book! We had a lovely morning, thank you!

My colleague and I were staying in the Copthorne Hotel in Plymouth wondering where we could go for coffee. The waitress recommended COFFEE TIME which was 5 minutes away. Absolutely wonderful coffee shop. Very welcoming and so friendly. The most delicious food and especially their cakes. The coffee is outstanding. The owners who are Portuguese are wonderful. Friendly professional and very warm hearted. They have a lot of regular returning customers who just love the atmosphere, the food, the coffee and keep coming back. I also bought 10 cakes to take to a business meeting. The cakes were adored and eaten very quickly. I will definitely go back next time I am in Plymouth. It was a great experience. We only went in for coffee in the morning...ended up staying for lunch...and left with 10 cakes. Eu voltarei. Obrigardo.

A must visit. Not being from Plymouth we wanted good food and good value place to get a bite to eat. Luckily we found “Salt & Pepper Kitchen” after reading some views. What a welcome from Ervis, full of smiles and genuine warmth. We chose sit inside but they have a few tables outside. The food is locally sourced and home made. The loaded fries with pulled pork was delicious. As was the Seasonal Turkey panini.. with all the trimmings & proper cut thick turkey breast. Really exceptional value! The cafe is convenient for the centre. Very clean and cosy. With a good menu selection. If we were local this would be easily a favourite place to visit. Why not give it a try.. we are sure you won’t be disappointed.. thank you Ervis! You really know how to treat your customers.

We like the bread and the snack food here, as well as the friendly staff and atmosphere inside and out. When we go it’s generally busy. Came down this Wednesday and saw the chalk board sign with new times Thursday to Saturday only. There was nothing about this on the website and we hope that it’s only temporary.

Stop off here weekly for coffee as it’s the best coffee in town. Staff are always super friendly and although a small shop always has a nice atmosphere. Last few times I’ve gone to visit and passed by, the shop has been closed. Hope this is only temporary and not permanent!

disappointed in the brunch i had here today. ordered a crumpet benedict which was £12 then had to pay an extra £3.50 just if i wanted smoked salmon with it. for the price of the add on i wasn’t expecting rations of salmon. being by the sea you’d think they wouldn’t be short of salmon but clearly they were as they were so reluctant to put it on my plate. also the eggs were ridiculously over cooked and yolks were not runny which is kind of key for an eggs royale. overall very disappointed for the price i paid. they clearly spent too much time making the dish look pretty and not enough time making it taste good. very pretentious and overpriced will not be back. cute decor tho.
