Whilst driving in the area, decided to drop in for food and drinks- were welcomed by a lovely lady called Shirley- we ordered two meals they were really good amongst the best pub meals we have eaten - I had the hulumi burger, my partner had the cottage pie( generous portions) and really good value- amazingly the coffee was free- as is the case for all customers- what a great find the london inn was Leighton and jackie

Ate at the Rose & Crown whilst staying at a local B&B, whose owner had recommended the pub. Very friendly landlord, large plates of excellent quality food, to go alongside the extremely good service. Would be nice to be more local to it, to use it again, but would certainly look to eat there again if in the area. Highly recommend.

I love it here. Ian and Theresa always make you feel very welcome, and I beleive pets are welcome, too. If you've not been here yet, shame on you, you don't know what you're missing. You will want to come back again and again. Enjoy !

Diamond place. Run by a couple who are without a doubt the friendliest people for miles around. Amazing food, amazing that it's vegan too. Lovely setting to enjoy great food. Joined with the plant nursery that's full of healthy plants and an abundance of knowledge from Terry. Visited so many times and the welcome is always warm!

Popped in for their monthly curry night and had a really good homemade beef curry with a couple of real ales. Very reasonable priced compared to other pubs, so will definitely be back for more. A really nice authentic pub with a warm atmosphere. Bar lady was very helpful and made us feel very welcome, especially as it was our first visit.

I am addicted to Coco's brownies! The staff are always so friendly whenever I pop in. Also thank you for listing that you are wheelchair accessible. It's so helpful to not have to hunt for accessibility info. And as a wheelchair user I can confirm Coco's definitely is.

To get here from Launceston was difficult, down narrow lanes and road closures. Really enjoyed the ambiance of the cafe, the coffee was good, the food was OK, just a bread based sandwich with no dressing like salad, perfectly reasonable for a bikers themed cafe. What I did find unexpected was the variety of customers not all of which came on bikes. It felt like a locals cafe as well. Nice

Old broken sofa & junk all over the place. Scruffy & dirty has never been trendy. Shame the food wasn’t better. Very basic. Interesting response from owner. Seems he’d rather be ruined by praise than saved by criticism. But certainly fits into today’s narrative, if you don’t agree with ME then you’re not welcome here.

We ordered breakfast, coffees and orange juice at the same time, after waiting for half an hour or more the food turned up but with no drinks, we waited as we were pretty thirsty and assumed the drinks would be along momentarily but they didn't arrive. After another 5-10 minutes I went downstairs to ask if they had been missed but saw someone appeared to be making them so went back upstairs. After another 5 minutes or so the coffee and orange juice arrived though the food was now cold and the eggs had gone hard which spoilt the meal. I explained to the very polite waitress what had happened and said that we were actually about to walk out and ask for a refund when she arrived with the drinks. She apologised and said she would ask her manager to come and see us to deal with our complaint however after another 25 minutes or so no manager had turned up nor had any sort of gesture been offered to put it right. The food was nice despite being cold/eggs now hard - being former military I am used to eating cold food and roughing it but it's not what you expect when you are paying £30 for breakfast. We had been before and previously had a good experience so its a shame. However, having a complaint ignored is pretty shocking in this day and age so we won't be going back, interesting as well how you are required to pay before you have received your food, usually only expect that in a fast food restaurant and this certainly wasn't fast! There are plenty of other eateries in Tiverton which provide great service and food to match so we will be taking our business there going forwards. Gets a 2 instead of a 1 because the food, coffee and waitress were nice, just a shame about the management - perhaps get the waitress to teach the manager about customer service.
