What a depressing experience. The lad serving never smiled, there was no pastries only cakes, at least the young lady was friendly. Coffee was good but please be more wrlcoming

No bar food and revolting lager tasting like soap. Had another side business indian takeaway upon the place that is placed now on the last used kitchen that is was condemed by health and safety due to this being a old toilet block that still consists of sewage and drains!!. DO NOT EAT FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Try the village for the real deal

After popping into Greggs Saturday morning thinking I’d grab a steak bake and sausage roll as I was staying in Travelodge I have to say it was awful, the meat in the steak bake was like dog’s meat and cold at that and the sausage roll was also disgusting so both items went straight in the bin. Would never eat from this Greggs again Very disappointed

Closes early at 6pm every day during rush hour when there is heavy customer potential. Often short staffed. Regularly runs out of ingredients and food items.

We have had sandwiches/cakes here in past and they have been fine. But don't remember the coffee being so bad. Had one today and just left it .. it was very bitter and I do like strong coffee.. this wasnt nice. Time to change your supplier M&S !

The gardens were lovely, however we wanted to have tea in the topiary garden. So disappointing. The scones were awful they were so hard! ( it's not difficult to make a fresh scone). Paper cups, paper basin for the scone and victoria sponge. Cardboard knives! Cardboard spoons ! What ever has happened to enjoying a piece of cake and a cup of tea on a proper plate. Has this lackadaisical attitude evolved since lockdown? (It seems the case in many other places too). Or are we becoming a "can't be bothered society".

We have often used the bar restaurant for a cheap eat as we felt it had improved however whilst not expecting fine dining tonight's meal was sadly very poor. The menu is extensive with many specials on the board in addition. I chose roast of the day which consisted of loads of beef slices curled up and chewy from presumably being microwaved, it tasted horrible, I had some soggy roast (frozen variety) potatoes and some new potatoes. Al dente cabbage wasn't nice and an ok Yorkshire pud. My husband had a cheeseburger which looked and tasted microwaved it's presentation poor with some fries. Dessert of apple crumble with custard was some stewed (poss tinned) huge apple chunks with a separate sprinkling of a dried powder? No custard but scoop of flavourless ice cream (no explanation of why no custard). My ice cream was 3 scoops of icey no flavour cheap feeling stuff.. no creamy gelato here. Such a shame as this wasn't restaurant quality food at all and I'm no expert by any stretch. We won't be returning
