After popping into Greggs Saturday morning thinking I’d grab a steak bake and sausage roll as I was staying in Travelodge I have to say it was awful, the meat in the steak bake was like dog’s meat and cold at that and the sausage roll was also disgusting so both items went straight in the bin. Would never eat from this Greggs again Very disappointed

What is there to say Greggs i well known all over the country, best known for their "Sausage Rolls" The Greggs Establishment in Sittingbourne always seems to be busy, had a tea and sausage roll, good service if sometimes slow, busy times there seems to be not enough staff serving at the counter, wish staff would serve more than just keep on going back shop and doing whatever, good food and food quality good

This take away is a five minute walk from Sittingbourne Station. It serves tasty, inexpensive sandwiches and pies. Sadly, I had wanted to try a vegan sausage roll but they were not yet trending in Kent!

like the cheese and onion slice but would like to have it hot but at least everything is freshly cooked

Always a fall back for a quick coffee and snack. Sausage roll and egg and bacon pastry went well with coffees. Staff deal well and patiently with young families!!! One youngster, ignoring the pleas of his mother, poured a whole fruit shoot over a table and himself! Full marks to staff with great attitude.

Busy shop with not enough staff. Visited before midday but they had no bread. I could be wrong but I think Greggs started life as a bakers. I can only put it down to supply and demand and the people of Sittingbourne demand bakes and pasties. Won't be going back but I don't suppose they care.

more staff needed always disorganised queues waiting on service . Difficult to see the range on sale and the take away food looks unappetising . There is so much more could be done with this food outlet needs a fresh approach

The steak bake was good but not that warm but the takeaway tea was super hot - too hot to pick up at first and too hot to drink even after walking 500 yards down the road and so had to throw it away without drinking it. I'm just thankful i didn't get scalded.

I needed some lunch for the office. I picked a cheese ploughmans baguette as none of the meat said free range and the tuna didn't say dolphin friendly. I have to say that if I had wanted an egg sandwich they did describe the eggs as free range. I had 3 very thin pieces of cheese that didn't cover the length of the baguette or poke out ie measured to precision, 2 slices of tomato, some thin slices of cucumber and a smattering of lettuce. I think they had worked out what the absolute minimum was that they could put in the baguette and still call it a ploughman's. It cost £2.10 but with a drink costing £1.30 you could get the meal deal for £3. Overall the bread tasted good but I could barely taste the filling. Pity they skimped so much.

A pit stop here turned into one long line of people that resulted in a few arguments about jumping queues etc..Only one person serving late morning when they have a lot of passing trade and got to keep shelves topped up. A little investment on staff will increase turnover.

Wasn't so keep on Greggs turkey and cranberry sausage rolls at Christmas but their sausage, bacon and egg rolls are lovely. Have eaten in with a coffee on a cold day. Very nice.

Whilst the confectionary side is nice you have to wait ages to be served as they rarely have more than two people working of which one is constantly filling the front or the ovens so you can wait ages and quite a few people just put stuff down and walked out. The staff may have a painted on smile but you can see through it and its not good for moral, I also overheard that the regional manager was out the back so why didn't they step in to help? They offer quality but lack service.
