This small fronted winery can almost be missed when walking along Cinque Ports Street in Rye. But spot it and venture in and you'll be greeted by wonderful hosts (Graham and his wife) who really make you feel welcome. The fairly small interior is cosy but nice and their extensive knowledge of wines is second to none. It's not expensive either. Highly recommended and we can't wait to go back.

This is an excellent experience. The location offers a range of fresh seafood that is well-prepared and swiftly delivered to the tables. Cold wine and beers are available nearby. For seafood enthusiasts, the place is a must!

We used to have great breakfasts in the past at this location but we were both very much disappointed by paying 40 pounds for being served old bread under our choice of breakfast. First it was like it had been toasted several times at an earlier time that day and tasted like old toast and was extremely hard, thin and a very small slice of toast, that was not cuttable or biteable. When I asked to change it, I received then a slice of old, dry untoasted bread in a place that sells fresh bread every day. It felt like the avocado had shrunk a lot and the egg was cold as it came back within minutes. My husband had the same, old, dry bread under his choice of breakfast. The small amount of ginger and turmeric shot, was mixed with too much water too. The prices for eating out in general have been shooting up enormously in England in the last two years, however, sadly to say, the quality and service in some places have been going down. There seem to be a lack of awareness amongst the owners, chefs and services, that some people also have to work a lot to be able to have the luxury, which it is becoming more and more, to eat out and that they don't want to spend their money on badly prepared or bad quality of food for high prices.

After our walk around Rye Harbour Nature Reserve, my husband and I popped into the Cobblers Tearoom. Just what we needed after our long walk. We sat outside and enjoyed our tea , scones and the sunshine. We were served quickly and the staff were efficient and friendly.

We had a passable bacon sandwich, but this cafe recently changed hands and is sadly nothing like as good as it used to be. Previously the menu featured locally-sourced seasonal ingredients all freshly — and deliciously — cooked. Now it’s just regular cafe fry-ups and pies made in London. The TA description of the cafe was written by the previous owners and now gives a misleading impression of what you can expect to be served. If you’ve eaten here before, you’ll be disappointed by what’s now on offer.

First time visit to Haydens. I chose this hotel after researching all others on the area. I have visited places based on reviews before and been disappointed. Haydens did not disappoint! We had the most amazing weekend. From the minute we walked in, until the moment we left, we were made to feel that any request wasn't too much trouble. We were shown to our room (Sandpiper) and were very impressed with the room. It was clean, bright, spacious and quiet. It had a lovely feel to it. The view was beautiful too. We were told we could have coffee and complimentary cake throughout our stay. The cakes were absolutely delicious! The bed was comfortable. In the morning we were blown away by the breakfast menu! It was extensive. Corey served us on both mornings. What a lovely guy he is! He couldn't do enough for us. The service we received was second to none. What can I say about the breakfast!! It was honestly the best breakfast i've ever had. The food was clearly of excellent quality. The sausages and bacon were delicious! My sister and I haven't stopped talking about Haydens since we came home two days ago. We are already booking for next year! Cant wait!!

Sat outside Kino in a lovely setting at 2.30pm for late lunch. Good choice of what we were looking for, placed our order and was promptly delivered by a charming young man. I have got to say the toasted ham and cheese sandwich along with the great salad was one of the best I think I have ever had….delicious. Great bowl of clean water for my dog to enjoy too…. Thank you.

Warm, friendly service with the best Danish pastries I have ever eaten. My granddaughter devour her ice cream, claiming it to be super delicious! Would highly recommend a visit to this excellent café.
