Do yourself a favour and get your lunch here! Best value place along the Waterfront by far, and it's delicious, freshly made, and served by a lovely man. I didn't notice it advertised on the signs, but he bakes all the bread himself. Would definitely go back if we're in Hastings again.

I had a dark chocolate ice cream in a chocolate waffle cone. It was a single scoop but very large for £4. The quality was amazing, very chocolatey and not too sweet.

The service was amazing!! And the same with the food. But the owner’s attitude was disgusting. The men were very rude to the young girls working, giving orders left right and centre, tone of voice and choice of words towards the girl’s was unbelievable ,while they were busy themselves from what I could tell, all while they could have got up from the table and did it themselves or offered some help as they are they’re staff very unprofessional . I won’t be visiting again because of this I feel sorry for the girls.

The last 5 visits to St Leonards & Hastings we have gone here for some light lunch. Every visit its been excellent. Laid back ambience, lovely owners, nice staff and yesterday we had the cheese and ham toastie in a light crisp toasted bread with the mushroom, caramalised onion toastie. Both excellent. They keep making it difficult to try anywhere else! Dog friendly too.

Perfect experience with Shimizu. You can tell thought and care went into the selection and arranging. Local delivery on the morning of my friend's birthday.

Didn't really feel cosy or have any atmosphere which are things I like from places serving coffee. Understand it to be very popular with its regulars, though, just not for me

This is situated near the Rock-a-Nore car park by the wonderful black fishing huts of Hastings. Very friendly service and dog friendly. We both had sea bass on crushed potatoes and carrot puree with a butter and garlic sauce. One of the best fish meals I’ve ever had- and I’ve had a lot. Delicious.

Good quirky venue place, staff are so friendly & helpful

Went in for a coffee and cake with my partner, which was a little over priced but OK. Unfortunately I was appalled by awful behavior of a member of staff to a customer. They had bought a coffee, but had purchased a pastry from elsewhere previously, and was picking at it out of the bag. It was pointed out to them in the bluntest of terms that the pastry was not purchased from the shop, and the customer was politely apologetic. Increadibly the staff member launched into a tirade of abuse creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere for all. She was certainly rude and almost bullying in her approach. Very unprofessional and I'm sure that the customer will never visit again. For that matter, I don't think that I, or my partner, would want to go to a place where staff behave in this way.

Looks like my review was removed. I was here last night but only men were served even though I was there first. I objected as a staff member reached past my left ear to take money from man behind me. As my review as been removed with no apology from the pub management, I will now forward a complaint to the licensing department. I won't go away until the pub changes its practice. Equality for all customers.

Very good arabica coffee. Not too expensive!
