Friendly staff and great breakfast

Not a wealthy breakfast, it used to be better in the past. -For the smoothie they didn't provide straw. -The butter was already melted and leaked everywhere. -I didn't feel like I was having a proper breakfast, it felt more like a snack.

Always good food, but order was missing both drinks and the chips?? So the both meals are ruined, please just check the orders as your sending them out.

The best thing about this place is that lovely girl think her name is Gemma her smile and the radiant warmth that she has keeps us coming back me and my family love this place I recommend people visit

Perfect breakfast place. Service was very quick, staff were so kind. Black olives and Turkish bagel, avocado, egg, beans, hashbrown..many more..,was very delicious 👏🏻I strongly recommend 👍🏻

Very disappointed. The food was over cooked and dry. The chips were pre cooked and the burger was very rubbery, All of our party were disappointed so one star and 4 👎👎👎👎

Mega royal, nothing mega about it, Waited ages for food., food was basic , chips with breakfast, I wouldn't bother , baby portion !!!!, sausages , basic EGGS , ITS A CAFE WHO CANT COOK EGGS, , sent back 2 times still come back sloppy and unreadable, 2 mega breakfast and 4 coffees 27,50 ,JOKE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME,

Being a customer for a long time i was very disappointed with the food that was ordered. It was minimal, badly presented and definitely not worth the price charged. I always been more than happy with frequenting this cafe but was very shocked by my recent visit.

Come every year and it is amazing, can’t wait to come back again. Definitely recommend!!

On a 5 day break at Eastbourne I came over to Hastings on the bus and came in for a cheese omlette and chips and i was very pleased with the food and coffee i had also found the service to be very good

Fabulous grub and flawless service. Best brekkie in ages and worth the one-hour drive.

Ordered the Mediterranean breakfast and the omelette was full of egg shells. Replaced the sausage with halloumi as I’m vegetarian and they brought it after and asked me to pay. Don’t recommend.

Breakfast was nice, ordered chips and a drink ! As a extra, know drink? But was nice breakfast.

food looked good quality but was all mushed together when it arrived egg yolk leaking out the boxes. not very good.

Order had items missing. Order was expensive. Food that was delivered was very nice, but when I called to chase up my missing items no one answered. Have requested refund.

Nice simple cafe that serves good food at a fair price. Really good service from our waitress. Set breakfasts could come with toast included, but otherwise will come again for sure.

A hidden gem. My friend and l are always searching for a good place to eat. Cafe Royale ticked all the boxes. Lovely staff, good food, spacious and clean. We had the breakfast and would highly recommend it. We’re looking forward to eating here again. A delightful experience.

Great food cooked to perfection,lovely staff,can't get any better in my view.

I paid £2.50 for two fork falls of bubble and squeak… the avocado was also a very small portion. Everything else was okay. Beans mushrooms, eggs, hash brown and toast was what I expected.

Always normally buy from here. This time the bacon in ALL 5 baguettes were so undercooked they were still snorting. We threw all 5 away...

Voted excellent on trip advisor so we tried it. We were not disappointed the Royal mega breakfast was served with grace and a smiling face. I would definitely recommend this cafe.

Found this place.when staying at Hastings. Couldn't fault the place. Great food great service great staff. Selction of food choice wide. But always had the all day breakfast and wasn't disappointed. My son loved the home made smooties and milk shakes.Will always return when back in Hastings.

For what you get portion size it's not worth the money. The sausages are very cheap and mushy.

The food was mostly good, the only comment I would give as suggested improvement for the future is to be clearer on your menu. The veggie sausages were just veg/potato rather than protein/ meat replacement (which is kind of important to know as a veggie) &the greek salad was advertised to have red onion and olive oil but this was missing and it wasn’t seasoned at all. It also had peppers in which is not on the menu (not important for me but what if someone has allergies?) Thank you!

Cafe Royale is a charming little cafe in the heart of Hastings. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff and delicious food. I recently visited Cafe Royale for breakfast and had a lovely omelette. The omelette was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of fluffy eggs. It was also served with fresh a fresh small salad, which was a nice addition as well as filling. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Cafe Royale. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. I would recommend Cafe Royale to anyone looking for a great breakfast or brunch in Hastings.

Very disappointing breakfast place. Canned beans and mushrooms, the plain omelette was basically a fried egg white, no yolk and was served cold! When we asked the waitress about the plain omelette and mentioned it was cold, her response was getting upset and going tell her other colleagues. Childish and unprofessional. Staff should get better hospitality training and get familiar with the food they serve, our waitress had no clue and might have never cooked an egg in her life!

Lovely place, friendly staff, excellent food. We had a fried breakfast - eggs, sausage, beans, toasts etc. Delicious and not expensive. That's the place I will come back to.

Loveliest place in Hastings to get breakfast, in a busy environment the black haired waitress kept everything under control and managed to be attentive to everyone, food came out fast too definitely recommend :)

We were a large group who got a range of different meals. Everyone loved theirs. Food perfectly cooked. Service with a smile and fast considering we were such a big group. Definitely our new cafe when visiting Hastings

Great location, bustling cafe, cafe interior and exterior was cleanly kept, service was great. I am giving 3 star rating due to the small breakfast portion, way to overpriced. Good reviews had led me and ny family here, expectations for the breakfast was high i was wrong.

Nice greasy spoon. Food was fast, well cooked and tasty. It was a busy atmosphere but not too loud that you couldn't talk to people you were sat with. I would go back and use again.

Spotlessly clean, had a delicious full English breakfast. Opening early was also a plus. You really can't go wrong

Sadly one of my favourite places has really gone downhill lately. Salads used to be mixed leaves good portion of mixed peppers etc now replaced with kebab shop style cheap salad which ruined my friends meal which was a salad main . Ok for children's nuggets and chips that you can get anywhere. My omlette was more like scrambled egg ? The service was awful the waitress was somewhere between dead slow and stop totally disinterested in serving us too busy flirting with the delivery driver honestly won't be going back.

Un accueil sympathique, un choix de formule breakfast, j'ai choisi set3, avec Black pudding. Délicieux, copieux, chaud. Très satisfait. Ouverture dès 7h30 ce qui en fait un des rares cafés à proposer une formule avant 9h !

I usually enjoy side salad with my takeaway nice mixed leaves peppers cucumber tomatoes etc but last 2 horrid shredded iceberg lettuce and just tomatoes like a kebab shop salad 😞

We ordered decaf cappuccinos with oat milk. I'm afraid I cannot describe this as cappuccino - the coffee was weak, there was no froth on top and I am not sure if there was any chocolate on it. It was just like instant coffee but weaker.

This cafe was entirely disappointing in terms of service. The staff, to be fair, were trying their best, but the idiotic menu system where you can only order breakfast with 6,7, or 8 items it horrendous. For example, you can't just walk in and order sausage egg chips and beans.. you MUST have 6 items minimum. And that starts at £9.90 and doesn't even include a drink. You could, however, order a BLT or similar sandwich or baguette. Oh, I almost forgot.. the portions were small. Not recommended.

Visit this cafe quite regularly, very good breakfast selection and decent coffee. The restaurant is clean and tidy, the service is friendly, the portions are generous and value for money. If your in town well worth stopping by.

Food and service were great! Not too expensive, fillings in the baguettes and sandwiches were quite filled.

I felt like at home. We choosed this place for traditional English Breakfast but after our day tour we prefered again for drinks also dinner. Atmosphere is cool, they are also really friendly.

Stopped in Cafe Royale for lunch on our visit to Hastings - will definitely be back! 4 of us ate, all emptied our plates and thoroughly enjoyed! Good quality, helpful staff and large portions...thank you :o))

I’ve been here 3 times now and each time there has been excellent service and the breakfasts were really well presented, fresh and of a very high quality. The breakfasts are reasonably priced and cafe is clean and inviting. I would highly recommend this cafe at anyone.
