Fabulous Deli. Huge selection of delicious foods, drinks and other things for the kitchen. The deli has a good selection and at a reasonable cost. They also have takeaway food. Toasted, scotch eggs, sausage rolls and much more. They tend to have different daily specials. Staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Also they have great coffee.

Breakfast experience. I chose vegetarian option that were served hot and tasty, fried eggs just how I like them. Just a little disappointment that the best bit was a fried tomato of which I only had a half of one. In reality I could of asked for more, but me being me I was too polite to mention it. Best big was a mug of tea very reasonably priced.

Service good, but they had run out of cakes, I ordered vegan cake, this was actually most uncake cake I've had in my life. Disgusting product.

Coffee was ok until the barista pulled out spoons out of his pockets and started cleaning the table with bare hands after costumer left - it ruined my appetite to drink the coffee. Cups could also be little cleaner.

The best vibes, lunch and coffee in St Leonard’s. Grab the last of the afternoon sun with their outside seating and hunt for nuggets in their record store downstairs.

At first we were impressed by the low prices compared to other places on King's Road. The ambience is nice and the cakes look tasty! We ordered a cheese & onion toastie and a hummus, Halloumi and carrot wrap to take-away. We were told the wait would be 10 minutes as there were a couple of orders before ours. 30 minutes later and our food had still not materialised! I understand that it was busy, but the two members of staff behind the counter didn't seem to have a rush bone in their bodies. The girl making the sandwiches even stopped to have a chat with some customers while everybody was waiting for their food. My biggest gripe however, was when I took a bite into my wrap and realised that they'd put grilled vegetables instead of carrot (I'd overheard earlier that they 'ran out of carrot' - but they didn't consult me about it). I am allergic to aubergine, which is in the grilled vegetables. Granted I didn't disclose that when I gave the order, but only because I'd intentionally chosen a wrap that didn't contain grilled vegetables. I don't know whether it was an honest mistake, or whether they substituted the carrots without consulting me. If I hadn't been in my car driving away I would have gone back and found out. In the end the whole thing went in the bin. All in all I think this business needs to take a look at its food practices. I also saw staff touching their hair and then food without washing their hands. I work in catering and this is a big no-no.

Overall lovely cafe and food with friendly staff with nice local items and seating outside. I ordered a vegan New Yorker sandwich. However while watching them prepare my sandwich noticed they placed my sandwich next to a cheese sandwich in the toastie machine making the chance of melted cheese ending up on my sandwich highly likely. Then later used the same knife to cut my sandwich as all the other sandwiches. I would recommend using baking paper in the toastie machine and different chopping boards/knives for meat-veggie-vegan to avoid the chances of cross contamination between sandwiches.

can you please review your sandwich making. i am vegan and the last sandwich you made the knife that was used was also used for meat !!

We had a coffee from here early Sunday morning due to early train journey. I must say it was such a lovely coffee truly the best I have had. A nice smooth taste. Would definitely recommend and will buy again when I'm in the area.

A really enjoyable bacon sandwich and hot chocolate in a great location. It was so good I stopped for a hot sausage roll as well!

Food was delicious. I had poached eggs on toast. Right amount of butter and salt. The atmosphere was nice. A good mix of people watching on offer too! Service was excellent 👌

Great spot for a bite to eat, seemed popular. Atmosphere was good. But, Waited 20+ mins for 2 sandwiches, although it was lunch time, so a busy time. I'm more disappointed that I paid way above average for a sandwich, which was made using shop purchased bread, underneath, half of the bread was missing and soggy. Hardly any filling. I hate leaving negative reviews, but it definitely wasn't what I was expecting.

What a treat! I have been many times to eat and buy a few bits and would really recommend this place. You can eat downstairs where there are records on sale or even out front on a sunny day. Love the daily specials. Very tasty and good value and portions. Not to mention the amazing group of staff who always give the warmest welcome :)

Relaxed friendly atmosphere. Good food individually prepared. As a walking stick user I found the stairs a bit tricky. Nevertheless my friend and I intend to visit again.

Such a great deli/cafe! They have such a wonderful variety of fresh and healthy foods (and some tasty indulgent treats too). The staff are so friendly and accommodating. I have a few difficult dietary requirements (the main one being my allium intolerance) and the staff always make me an amazing tasty meal. Highly recommend!

Nice terrace and good choice of salads, scotch egggs and vegan option but took almost 30min to get two eggs on toast..

Lovely little place. Took my daughter there twice now, milkshakes are freshly made, cakes are generously sized, downstairs seating is gorgeous, outside seating too... staff are chatty and polite and go above and beyond. Would highly recommend.

The Sweet Chilli Chicken wrap was impeccable. The service was friendly and great to have a short chat with. The take-out pricing is a kind gift to the broke student. Honestly best lunch I've had in a while..

Great cafe, very friendly and fast service - Great food!

This is my new favourite cafe to go to in the morning. The people who work here are warm and welcoming, they go above and beyond for their customers. They get to know everyone who comes in and remembers then when they come back! I seriously would recommend changing this to your new spot too.

I was very disappointed by my first experience of Dandelion Deli. I had to wait over an hour for my meal and there was no communication from the staff to say why there was such a long wait. I had to go and find a member of staff who had to then speak to a colleague to find out how much longer we would have to wait and was told 5 more minutes. When we received our food, it actually took 10 minites and no apology for the delay. My brother asked for avocado instead of baked beans when ordering but received baked beans with his order. The food was fine but the customer service was dissatisfactory so therefore will not be returning.

Just ordered the vegan casserole and a cheese and onion toasty and after 2 bites we had to question if it was vegan after all, to be told it was the nom vegan one with sausage and bacon in, didn't even get a sorry of a full refund.

What a gorgeous place! Always a friendly face to welcome you, the team are really accommodating. There’s a reason it can get busy at lunch times and it’s worth a little wait, the food is wholesome and varied. There’s loads of seating options, great music and a banging record shop downstairs. I’m a local and it’s always my go to.

A lovely place, they have outside seating, and a cosy restaurant space downstairs as well as a record shop. Attentive staff and scrummy food. I like that there's a different hot special every day. Very cost effective.

You MUST have the gluten free scotch eggs!!! They are beautiful

Really nice local Sandwich shop, plenty of meat and veggie options. Can be quite slow if you're waiting for takeaway, especially with the train station near by. Prices are genuinely good and the staff are lovely

I had a really good vegan brekkie!

Waited about 50 minutes for two sandwiches to be made - the staff were all new and there seemed to be no organisation and no updates given. They then stopped serving sandwiches and salads altogether as they were so “busy” which annoyed a lot of customers. The sandwiches were ok - all a bit overpriced

If you want to take a break from browsing the antiques and junk of the Kings Rd., the Dandelion is ideal. Great tea, coffee and snacks (I recommend the salads and various scotch eggs) plus a great range of deli and tapas type things to take home.

To all Day visitors never use this place. THEY OVER CHARGE. SO CHECK YOU BANK STATMENT AS I DID. THEY CAN BE SUPPOSEDLY GENEROUS. BUT OVER CHARGE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Rude and insulting, AVOID. Totally reccomend the full English for breakfast. Stood by us most of the day. 10 out of 10, especially for the sausages

I really enjoy having my latte's here and there vegetarian meals. The staff are very friendly and professional. Good hygiene procedures with a delightful ambience about the place. Highly recommended.

Coffee is undeniably good, let me say that first but they do need to offer a table service for people using their dine in option. Lots of people cramped into a small shop waiting to be served isn't the best way to deal with the current situation. There was a fairly long wait before being served so a little bit of acknowledgement from the staff that you were waiting and they would be with you shortly, would have been nice. When our coffees and snacks did arrive the guy put them down on the wrong table before I had to usher him over to ours. Again, this is down to a poor service system that could be made better with a few simple adjustments. Table numbers would probably be a good start.

The owner has created this place himself from nothing and the attention to detail is incredible, from customer service, to produce selection, to the decor and fresh food and music selection. I never miss a chance to go whenever I am near. A real treasure in Hastings.

We were visiting St Leonard’s and fancied an early breakfast. Dandelion staff were really accommodating and freshly prepared avocado, mushrooms, scrambled eggs and sour dough toast for us. Delicious. Good coffee. Lovely service. A charming little rear patio area to sit in too. Great place.

I simply ADORE this place. I'd passed it many a time feeling it perhaps wasn't for me, I think I was initially put off by the organic and locally sourced sale items and thought they'd be way out of my price range. However the prices are really affordable, the food is to die for and the hot chocolate is out of this world!!!!!! I can't get over how much I love this little place. It is always clean and tidy and the staff treat you so so kindly! I refuse to go anywhere else now when I'm in St leonards and I look forward to returning this week for one of their delicious white hot chocolates!

What can I say? Amazing food served with a smile, the ambient sound of jazz floating through the air, the calming, natural themed decor. All in all, a 10 out of 10 experience. And I would like to add that; Storm, the little ray of sunshine that served me, really did cheer me up on a rainy Thursday morning. Incredible customer service, always on point. I went out for a cigarette and she runs out and brings me an ashtray. An absolute diamond. Will definitely return and bring friends. Keep doing what you're doing, you will all go far! <3
