It was my first time coming here and my friend treated me for my Birthday to afternoon tea. There were loads of tasty treats provided by the lovely owner. You get SO MUCH for your money and it is all good quality. I recommend a visit and would definitely return!

I took my daughter for a little treat of afternoon tea , could not fault the price , very reasonable, the food was tasty and fresh and the owner very chatty and welcoming!! It might not be placed in an idyllic country setting but you can't eat the setting , the food , price and welcome are more important and happy to support a local business!! We will be back

This Was my second visit to the tea rooms and they also delivered to my home during lockdown! The normal price of £7.50 per head is very reasonable for the amount of food served on the afternoon tea and also includes your drink. On this visit I was lucky enough to book for a day on the eat out to help out half price scheme. Absolutely perfect in every single way 🤗🤗🤗

We ordered 4 takeaway afternoon teas for collection on VE day. I hadn't been to the cafe before but had seen pictures of the afternoon tea for the eat in option which looked nice and good portion sizes and assumed it would be the same. The sandwiches were fine no complaints there as were the scones. There was no Clotted cream (not a problem for the price but would be good to know in advance as I'd have got some in). The sausage rolls were terrible, they were the mini ones you get from a shop and the quiche slice was so thin and not even 1 cm deep, definitely not homemade. Everything was child's size bar the sandwiches and scones. The cakes included the teeniest slithers of shop bought cakes, nothing like the freshly cooked items you see on the Facebook page. And everything had been roughly wrapped in tinfoil and brown bags and was all very squashed. Maybe we choose a bad day as they were clearly busy, it was noted they had produced nearly 200 teas on their Facebook page that day. I wouldn't usually complain and it's nice to support small businesses during these times but I messaged the cafe to let them know I wasn't pleased. And no response, how rude! I've left it over a month before leaving a review to give them a chance to rectify the situation and heard nothing. £6 is cheap for afternoon tea and this seems good value but I paid £24 for 4 teas when we only actually ate the 4 rounds of sandwiches and the 4 scones and grapes! Such a disappointment!!! There are much better options locally, I'd rather pay 3 times the price for quality home cooked food and good sized portions. Avoid!

Highly recommend the afternoon tea. I wanted a fair number of 'take away' teas, They were all made to order and well presented .. Really lovely way to cheer people up in these not so good times. I look forward to going in when all's back to normal. Thank you!

This is not the prettiest part of town, but it is well worth stopping for an afternoon tea you will not be disappointed. Twelve of us went there and we all recommend it. Great value, all home made cakes and not only sandwiches but quiche and sausage rolls as well, not only that but this is the best value afternoon tea we have had. Go on give it a try it's more than worth it.

This is the third visit and we've found the welcome, quality and quantity of the food of an extremely high standard. It would be very difficult to find a friendlier and more accommodating person than Carol, the owner. Thanks so much and we'll be back soon.

Terrible. Admittedly we didn’t have a booking but woman there was frightfully rude insisting we should have booked, and tables that were free were uncleared. Not returning there in a hurry.

We held my daughters baby shower here and was really pleased with it all, we were allowed to put decorations up and hold silly games. The cream teas were absolutely delicious and plentiful Carol catered for all of our various dietary requirements and only to keen to please. I will definitely be going back for more delicious food. Highly recommended thank you Carol

We have been member of the club for 6 years . We often go for breakfast but Brenda Andy have retired . The new people are absolute useless first you wait half hour for two breakfasts , to then be told you had not paid for two I went up and said to the lady to which she couldn’t admit it was her mistake , and basically told me and my husband to not come back . I love the club but won’t ever be using them for breakfast ever again shocking young people with chip on shoulders

Wonderful little cafe situated in the Old Town of Hastings. Every time we’re in the area we have to come and have our breakfasts here. They have a wide range of breakfast choices, homemade cakes and delicious scones. The staff is super friendly as well!!
