Love it here. Great food options, amazing coffee- wonderful staff. Light airy with big windows to people watch- which is perfect as it is right in the heart of the old town. Also have been here for gigs, events and its always a great vibe.

Great selection of games, staff are fab and so helpful and accommodating (also very funny, we laughed all night). We paid corkage which was very cheap and brought a few drinks to enjoy with us. Great value for money, really unique happy spot in Hastings, can’t wait to go back !

Great customer service, quick pick up and super tasty vegan treats. My favourite is the Vegan Lemon Drizzle Cake ;)

Our first visit to Hastings. Lovely little cafe . Friendly staff and fresh food. Nice place to catch your breath 😉

Bought some flowers for my friend from the shop this morning, they all look nice. Especially the yellow tulips. But I’m not very good at arranging/choosing flowers for the bouquet, then I asked them for advice, I got nothing but a knowledge from the shop girl “all the flowers are beautiful.”

This is a unique and really special place, owned and run by a guy who is clearly stubbornly passionate about delivering amazing seafood dishes to his customers. You will wait a while, and it's all part of the charm, there is no rushed service - each table's dishes dealt diligently one by one, served up without haste and for maximum quality. You get THE freshest most exceptional seafood possible, and it creates a meal to truly remember. My partner and I loved it. Lunch began at 2:30pm and (boozily) ended close to 5pm. Perfect. The daily specials seem to be the stand-out choice for most people. Outstanding oysters, mussels, king prawns, mackerel, we loved everything. Staff too are charming, with personality and skill. Go here and soak it all up!

Went in for a coffee and cake with my partner, which was a little over priced but OK. Unfortunately I was appalled by awful behavior of a member of staff to a customer. They had bought a coffee, but had purchased a pastry from elsewhere previously, and was picking at it out of the bag. It was pointed out to them in the bluntest of terms that the pastry was not purchased from the shop, and the customer was politely apologetic. Increadibly the staff member launched into a tirade of abuse creating a very uncomfortable atmosphere for all. She was certainly rude and almost bullying in her approach. Very unprofessional and I'm sure that the customer will never visit again. For that matter, I don't think that I, or my partner, would want to go to a place where staff behave in this way.

Looks like my review was removed. I was here last night but only men were served even though I was there first. I objected as a staff member reached past my left ear to take money from man behind me. As my review as been removed with no apology from the pub management, I will now forward a complaint to the licensing department. I won't go away until the pub changes its practice. Equality for all customers.

Cannot fault this little place to eat. Food is fab, the atmosphere is fab and I love that they welcome the dogs. The staff were friendly. Highly recommended the afternoon tea and fish and chips

Easily the best place to eat in Hastings, The pies are famous for a reason as they are incredible and a good price. Each pie with side and gravy is 16£ and you can make it a roast for 17£. Every time I go i have a fab time. The staff are very friendly and the service is good. It is very busy so best off booking a table especially on a Sunday. They have a good selection of beers at a good price. 10/10

Lovely pub. Great staff, welcoming atmosphere and locals, and great location for a drink after visiting the beach, Stade, or Old Town.

Been to anchor a few times came here for lunch on Saturday with my nephew and his wife the food and the atmosphere was brilliant, the guvnor is a great guy you can have a laugh with, we enjoyed it so much that we are back again this Saturday with our daughter her husband and grandson 10 out of 10

Opposite the Jenny Lind, this is a great breakfast option and was very tasty. Welcoming host. Highly recommended, lots of choices too, great sausages!
