This is a cracking pub, a local that serves a great range of beers. Never had a bad pint and have also always enjoyed the food weāve had. Salt and pepper chips are wonderful. If you like choice, good beer, food are dog friendly and like a convivial atmosphere then itās not a bad place to be!

I visited this cafe on 23/03/25 at 14.30 with my disabled mum. We were told that they werenāt serving food which was ok as we just wanted coffee and cake. We were served our drinks, my mumās was very full and she has difficulty picking up a very full cup so I asked for two half cups. The waitress offered me disposable cups which I found very insulting and inappropriate. The cake arrived (which was quite nice) and we were told the cafe closed at 15:00. When I checked on google for opening hours it said it closed a 16:00. While we had our coffee and cake the two waitresses (one who told us it was her first day) began putting their coats on and saying quite loudly that they had to lock up so couldnāt even wash the crockery we were using which tells me that dirty dishes are left overnight. Not hygienic for a cafe serving food, it may easily attract vermin. Overall a very unsatisfactory visit to the Bank Cafe in Hoylake. I will not be recommending it to anyone else.

Great place to eat, lovely tea room, great food with friendly attentive and polite staff. This is the second time I've been, the previous occasion with my other half who was impressed and wants to go back again at some point.

What a superb treasure this place is! My dog and I are always welcomed by name, with warmth and sincerity. Food is great, prices reasonable. So much is going on there. People are friendly and talk to each other. The vibe is upbeat. The clientele is intergenerational and inspired by a real community spirit. I go there and feel human! š

Went to Hannahs for lunch on mothers day. The staff were so brilliant and accommodating as there were a few food intolerances for them to deal with. They were very helpful and even went to the trouble of getting a different side order so my daughter could have it. Was done with no fuss and the food was delicious. Everytime I visit the staff are lovely, and the coffee is always good.

It used to be a great place, but sadly, it has gone downhill. I went in on Friday and paid for yoghurt with cash and was told they were short of change and would I mind if I was 20p short. Of course I said no and the just looked at me. I said I will pay by card and she said she had put it through as cash. I suggested that she put more fruit on the yoghurt to account for the extra 20p and she said I will have to ask the manager. Then came back and said it was OK. What a State! If everyone agreed to pay an extra 20p then they would be raking the money in!
