Great place to eat, lovely tea room, great food with friendly attentive and polite staff. This is the second time I've been, the previous occasion with my other half who was impressed and wants to go back again at some point.

The service was excellent , from cleaning the table , to ordering and the speed of service. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and again the service was excellent. Recommend this establishment very highly.

Poor customer service. The girl behind the counter taking orders was surly to the point of rudeness. She wouldn't take my order for soup and a sandwich at 11.52 because lunch service does not start until mid day.....but that was stated very curtly. I ordered Americano with hot milk but was served ice cold milk. When mid day arrived I asked for a chicken and tomato sandwich but was told I couldn't have it because it isn't on the menu. Chicken and mayo is on the menu. Cheese and tomato is on the menu. We left without eating.

Very disappointed with the food. Won’t be eating there again. Coffee was good and the service was just ok. Just really not impressed at all

I love it here and come regularly. I always leave a tip and I did so today. But the woman who served my friend and I today was so rude. Her attitude was sarcstic and condescending. It looked like she had new staff with her observing how things work. I have never made a complaint in my life, but I will not come back.

food and coffee was very nice, low sofa,s and chairs, couple of tables with hard back chairs, unisex toilets, large step to entrance, further steps to seating area, decor very laid back ambience, seating area outside for warmer days. Please note this is a dog friendly cafe, not everyone likes this, that is why I have included this in my review.

Friendly tea house which also does great coffee, in a very nice environment. Busy in the later mornings and early afternoons.

Popped in while in area. Relaxing place, large tea menu. Food is generally snacks hot and cold. Ordered two toasted sandwiches both fine. Cappuccino was OK but disappointed with Americano which was weak and tasted like filter coffee. Perhaps they are tea experts but the coffee wasn’t that good.

We were recommended to try somewhere else in Hoylake on a Monday lunchtime but it was shut so we wandered in here & loved it!

Popped in by chance on a Saturday lunchtime, slightly quirky decor but first think noticed was great family atmosphere. Most tables filled with family’s with multiple generations enjoying a chilled out and relaxed lunch. Menu covers all bases with a great range of vegetarian. Tea menu extensive with something for everyone. Just misses out on 5 stars because scrambled eggs and smoked salmon just a little too firm, but then I suppose some people like that. Will certainly visit again.

I believe that if you visit a cafe on a Monday morning and it's busy then they must be doing something right and Nine Leaves certainly is! We visited this morning following a recommendation and were glad that we did. The cafe has a lovely warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere and although, due to the time of our visit, we only had coffee and tea cakes, we were severely tempted by the wide range of mouth-watering goodies on offer for lunch. We will be back!

Lovely chilled out space inside, nice staff and dog friendly. Parking is easy in Hoylake and there is space directly outside. Plenty of tea and cakes to choose from, lunch and wine is an option. There is free wi-fi for catching up with tasks.

Called in yesterday for the first time after a busy day driving round with lots of things to do. It was just perfect. Quiet, comfortable, a huge pot of green tea and a tasty sandwich. The staff were friendly and I felt totally at ease on my own. Will definitely be back soon and would definitely recommend

First time visit to Nine Leaves, but will not be the last. The staff were friendly and happy to help, the menu was small but very interesting, with the peanut butter, carrot and raisin wrap with a lovely cinnamon hit leaving me wanting more, overall a very nice place to eat lunch.

Being vegan wanted to find somewhere we could get a bit of lunch. Menu a bit restricted and the availability of soup would haave been welcome. What we had was ample , hot and good quality. The range of teas is very impressive and the atmosphere is lovely. Excellent service and the vegan cakes are delightful. Best flapjacks we have had.

Five of us had our monthly lunch at 9 leaves this week. we were all happy with our food - which consisted of a variety of sandwiches and all day breakfasts. A couple had a cake to finish with a coffee. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff very helpful - they ran out of cream for our coffee's so a younger member of staff ran to Sainsburys for some - which was very good of him. Top marks for that. The prices were very good also - £5 for breakfast, £1.80 for cake. I would recommend a visit.

A really lovely family friendly (and pet friendly) little coffee shop/tea lounge. Food was great - ham & cheese toastie, served with lovely salad. Ham sandwich on granary with red onion chutney and lovely salad. Coffee was really excellent, so much so I asked who their supplier was! Tea also excellent as we had that later with cake! Cakes were lovely and appeared home made - Chocolate orange sponge and blueberry muffin with cream cheese - lovely.

Have visited Nine Leaves a couple of times recently, the last visit being about two weeks ago. Its surprisingly large inside and the decor has a musical theme. We went for coffee and toast with two friends before taking their dog for a walk. It is a dog friendly place. The coffee and toast were very good and the other food being served to the clientele looked delicious. I was intrigued by the huge display of teas including fruit and herbal varieties recommended for various treatments. The staff were very knowledgeable about them. We really enjoyed our coffees and will return to eat there.

Hoylake's very own Central Perk. Eclectic, welcoming and a great addition to the local café scene. Just had the granola breakfast at a very reasonable price accompanied by great service. Great choice of drinks, hot and cold. Spacious, warm and comfortable, will be back to try out the rest of the menu!

Attended a private party, but went to see the tea lounge beforehand to get a feel for the layout as I was the musical entertainment for the party.

Whilst on a memory lane trip to area, visited this gem of a café with friend & her family dog. He is always made very welcome & as a tea lover it was fantastic having the tea library with so many teas to choose from. We enjoyed tasty sandwiches washed down with green tea, little dog was even given a bowl of water. Would love to visit again & sample more of the tea & cake. Located on Hoylake high street close to the railway station.

Nice place, great interior. It's really relaxed. Unfortunately the relaxed atmosphere seems to have rubbed off on the staff a little too much. They took a while to realise I'd walked in and sat down. Had to find my own menu. Ordered a drink and a small snack which was brought very promptly. Lovely cuppa and my snack was tasty too. That, unfortunately, was the last I saw of the staff. Didn't ask me if everything was OK, or if I wanted anything else (I would've ordered another drink if asked.) They didn't speak to anyone else for a second time in the place once people had ordered. They spent most of their time hidden away in the kitchen having a right catch up! People left and tables remained dirty for a good half hour before they eventually emerged and actually tidied up. They were polite when you actually found them to speak to them…but maybe some serious waiting on training is required to make this place much better than average.

1 o'clock, Thursday afternoon, time for a Cappuccino and cake, I'm glad I tried Nine Leaves in Hoylake, sat outside in the sunshine, however inside is superbly decorated, spacious, lots of very easy chairs, excellent staff service, delicious cake and (other cafes take note) a generously large cup of cappuccino. See pic and enjoy your visit too.

Brilliant find very close to Hoylake Station in a nice position with a sunny front terrace where you can watch the world go by. Great location for cyclists getting the train home or just anyone wanting a bit of calm ambience. Nice laid back lounge with big squashy sofas and big tables ideal for reading or chatting or just chilling. Plenty of room for those with babes and I can only describe the toilets as spotless and amazing. The tea library contains many different blends to suit different taste, or to promote good health. There is also of course builders brew and coffee!! Nice menu with reasonably priced and freshly made sandwiches etc. and cakes/pastries. Staff flexible if exactly what you want is not on the menu. Everything sparkling clean with quick, friendly service. I see a number of groups meet there, perfect venue for small gatherings. Definately worth a visit.

Think this place is not in a good area it's bang loud noisey and by a residential area my girlfriend works long hours on certain weekends and struggles to sleep with this place being open. It should be open in the city centre of Birkenhead were its no were near houses/flats. I will be complaining about this its in the wrong place. Am surprised no one has complained about it who live near by.

Visited on monday with a friend that had travelled a long, i was on crutch rolling an op. We were put on a tiny table that was a struggle for me to get in. The waitress was slow after 15 mins we asked if we could order and she said we were next to which they went to 2 other tables first !! After eventually taking our order the food arrived. I asked for mayo to which she brought back a empty bottle of aldi mayo, which I don't mind but paying £11.95 for a relatively small dry quiche and about 8 burnt on the outside and hard on the inside chunky chips I was a bit cheesed off to be honest, surely they can put it in a little pot. Food over priced & tasteless Service rubbish Do not recommend
