The ice cream here is fantastic. Home made with quality ingredients. It tastes how ice cream used to taste. Lots of different flavours. The pistachio was to die for but they’re all good. This place deserves an award.

Been to this place many times this year, I make sure I've told all my friends and family too. Ice cream is soooo good...just like you'd expect from the name. Service is always great, with a genuinely nice owner that obviously cares about what he's selling and the price point he sells at. I couldn't big this place up anymore. Myself my wife and our little man will be regulars for as long as they're there!

Stopped by here on Easter Sunday after brunch across the road for some Italian style ice cream. The strawberry was delicious and creamy, and very reasonably priced too.

A sunny but cool November afternoon in West Kirby. I am with my wife, son and 2 dogs (taking exercise with one or more members of my household) and we would like a drink before we head back home. Obviously, we're looking for take-out refreshments and we want to use an independent rather than a corporate chain. We see Artisan Gelato is still open and it sells drinks as well as ice cream, so I go inside to order 3 coffees to-go. I see a small tray of chocolate brownie squares and I ask for 3 of them. But rather than just give us the 3, the owner gives us all of what's left of them, plus 3 other little sponge-based 'dolci' (Italian name for a sweet treat)! No only that, seeing we have 2 dogs with us, he also gives them a 'dog ice-cream' each which they devour on the pavement outside. All this was given to us, with no extra charge. But perhaps the best thing of all is, the coffee has a fantastic flavour (from Milan I am told), possibly the best I have tasted locally. I have walked past the shop during summer and have seen the queues outside for the gelato (which I am yet to taste) but I can only imagine it's as good as the coffee. Now more than any other time I can remember in my lifetime, has it been more important to support local small businesses who have been hit with a number of perfectly aimed body-blows from the C-19 fall-out. I hope Artisan Gelato and the other independents can ride it out until the effects of a vaccine roll-out come into play next year. I hope to be back there soon for more di caffè di Milano.

Haven’t had an ice cream for years, throughly enjoyed my vanilla cornet. My sister had banoffee and loved it.

Very disappointed with the ice cream from this shop. Very small portion and scrappy with a poor consistency. Was really hoping for better from a specialist ice cream shop. They will need to up their game considerably if they are to succeed.

Absolutely love this new ice cream place! I have taken my daughter here 6 times since it has recently opened and each time we have received friendly service and amazing ice cream! We recommend banoffee and the Bueno ice cream! Cant wait for the next time we visit!
