The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Hawkshead South Lakeland North West

What a great place for evening dinner. Lovely pub. Great service all round. Food was delicious all 3 courses. Reasonable price. Highly recommend if near this area.

Traveled to visit this place for a second time after calling ahead to check, but on arrival to find cafe with cats closed, sat in a bar with loud music playing not comfortable in atmosphere or seating, Ensure cafe is definitely open if you call ahead.

We came a few years ago and the menu was fab so made a point of coming back again while we were in the area but what a shock when we saw that the menu had changed to basic cafe food! We were so disappointed!

Lady behind counter didn't acknowledge us was too busy on her phone. The shop is has stock but not many items available, seems very old fashioned. Wouldn't go there again.

After parking up and having a wander around Hawkshead, the rain started up again so we decided to take shelter here until it cleared up. Staff were great - even when there was a mix up and order didn't get made. Once sorted, we were enjoyed a delicious coffee. Lovely place to enjoy a drink or a meal. 

Service was excellent. Food delicious will definitely come again

What a lovely lal spot! Excellent coffee and delicious menu… this is coming from a non-vegan too. Staff were great as was the general vibe. Located right by the lake with a fair few walks, it is an ideal spot to grab a post walk coffee on a trip out! We will be back!!

Great service, super friendly staff, good food, ideal location. Really welcoming and were superb with our dogs (as well as us). Will be coming back!

Best scones ever--get the scones and jam with clotted cream. So good! They sell out of the soup, so go early if you want soup.

We stumbled upon this gorgeous little cafe while visiting Hawkshead and would highly recommend it for lunch stop. We are a family of 3 and had a jacket potato, a beef and horseradish sandwich and a hot BLT sandwich. We followed this up with a caramel slice, an almond slice and a slice of coffee and walnut cake. All the food was delicious, the service really friendly and the price was incredibly reasonable. We were absolutely delighted to have found this lunch spot and will definitely be back if we are in the area in the future. We noticed a lot of locals coming in to buy their lunch too which is always reassuring and shows the true reputation of the food served.

Fab little cafe. Really friendly staff, especially young man who offered food left over when closing. Coffee great too. Do go.

Just had the roast beef dinner  £18 for delicious seasoned veg, beautiful red cabbage and succulent slices of beef topped off with a yorkie pud. It was superb, and a really great pint of Guinness, Will definitely be back again.
