A cheerful welcome in the cafe at the till by a very friendly lady. I decided to give the breakfast another chance having been disappointed the last time I went. Things had not improved. I was the first person to order at 9am and my full English breakfast came to me very quickly 6 or 7 minutes later. Quick but too quick as everything but the fried egg was at best lukewarm. The bacon was leathery and it seemed that the ingredients were just warmed up from the day before. Too quick a service to be served freshly cooked especially first of the morning and, if it was re heated it needed a lot longer in the microwave. This was the same experience as I had last time unfortunately. I feel there is not enough care given to the food or customer satisfaction.

I visit your cafe every Tuesday morning and the staff are very unfriendly except for one particular young girl who has very short hair. One of your staff was very rude to me this morning which left me very upset. She said i was waiting in the wrong place to order my food. When i asked her what she meant her words were"the fact there is no til here surely tells you we dont serve food here "She was just ready to diss me and make me feel very uncomfortable which i was by the way.She told me i couldn't have been in the cafe for years if i didn't know where to get served. There was absolutely no excuse for this behaviour. When i told her i came every week she laughed at me. This behaviour is not acceptable. The sad thing is there are a few who work in the cafe are very rude. This person however went too far when she started arguing with me and all because i was standing in the wrong place.

I popped in to Southport branch today for some food shopping. Having not been there before I wasn’t sure of where items were. There was a young man called Cole who was extremely helpful and Smiley nothing was too much trouble for him. I very rarely comment on customer service but when it’s exceptional I feel it needs to be recognised. Thank you cole !!

Struggled to find a clean, empty table. Music blasting out so everyone had to talk above it making the entire place noisy. Coffee was ok 🤷♂️

Went to kiosk a couple of months ago, was dissatisfied with selection of cakes, and coffee was cold. Maybe I called at a bad time to miss the cakes but I will not be returning to find out, overall disappointed.

Ordered Breakfast via Just Eat, 1.5hrs after ordering the food hadn't t turned up, I called them and was told by a man the food was leaving the café just then and should be with me in a few mins he they apologized as they had been really busy. 2hrs after I ordered the food I attended the Café to collect the food to be met by the most arrogant and rude staff (all apart from 1 lovely lady, who did try to help me). No food had even been made and when I advised I had come to collect a Just Eat order which I had order 2hrs ago I was told "and what" I explained that I had called and spoke to a man who advised it was leaving but it still hadn't turned up. The young lad who I was speaking with just shrugged his shoulders. I asked for a refund and was told by the young lad he cannot authorize a refund so I ask to speak to someone who could as there still was no food for me to collect. He said he would get the boss. The 'Boss Lady' appeared and asked me "what do you want" I explained again what had happened the 'Boss Lady' advised "We have been busy we are a Café what do you expect"? A lovely lady who was also present was looking to see if the food had been made and was bagged up on the side to no avail. I once again advised the 'Boss Lady' that I had ordered and paid for food 2hrs earlier in good faith, I had called and was advised that the food was on its way and I understood they had been busy so I called down to collect myself, that I was quite ill and that's the whole reason why I had ordered via Just eat in the 1st place for a delivery and I didn't really want to come out the house but I thought I'd run down to the café to collect as it still hadn't arrived but the food still hadn't even been made so could I have a refund. The 'Boss lady' told me they don't give refunds. you have to go through to Just eat. I turned to walk out of the Café when the 'Boss lady' then asked me stupidly if I no longer wanted the food??? I turned to her and said you haven't even made it, ill do what you say Ill go through Just Eat for a refund but I will also leave a review turned and opened the door to leave. The young lad shouted something quite derogatory to me so I turned and said don't treat me feel like a horrible person! Once outside I get in my car and look up to see the 'Boss Lady' running out of the Café like a lunatic screaming and running at me "not to slam the Café door" she was obviously wanting a fight, I am no fool or will I be intimidated so I got out of my car to speak with her. The lovely lady from the café had to drag her back into the café. Obviously her Café door means a lot to her! (In all honesty I don't even remember closing the door). I was very shook up and really not very well plus my son was in the car witnessing this I thought I would just go home and contact Just Eat. 3hrs after this incident some random man turned up at my door screaming and shouting at me to not slam his Café door again and never come to his Café again! As if I would ever go there and give them my money after what had happened anyway is laughable. This man ranted and raved at me and my 2 teenage sons threatening to come and smash my windows in and my 2 sons faces in. I got it all on my Ring door bell and contacted the Police. Not only did this woman try to attack me outside the Café for allegedly "slamming the Café door" but then got her, I'm assuming partner to attend my home 3hrs later to threaten me... Is this something normal business'/people do now a days? This was reported to the police as they clearly have broken GDPR rules as well as their threatening behavior but also Just Eat and the ICO. Never again will I ever order through Just Eat or with this Café! I also stress to everyone else, don't let them have your home address as you never know when they will turn up on your door step. Don't ask for a refund when you have paid them for food that they don't deliver or even make.... Most importantly DO NOT SLAM THIER CAFE DOOR!

Food was ok and varied. Service was poor. Sometimes you had to ask what was for tea at near 8.30pm and take your own plates to the kitchen! Plenty of room for improvement. Will go back there though!

Went to the Village to watch football whilst visiting friends in Formby. It's a basic drinking den with cheap drinks at the cash only bar. Furniture a bit grubby and some of the TVs have average picture quality. Having said all that it's a really friendly place with really nice staff. We got talking to several people before the match started.

I popped into The Avenue when I was visiting Southport on my own. There are quite a few bars on this stretch. I really wanted to try some of them out as I was new to the town. The Avenue really stood out as somewhere that I could get a warm welcome and some quality entertainment. The Guinness was a little more expensive than some of the other bars in the area. However, at £4:60, I felt that this represented excellent value for money. The staff were really friendly and made me feel like a “local” even though I didn’t know many people in the town. The music was excellent. There were two different covers acts who played from about 9pm until about 2:30 in the morning. They played a lot of folk and indie songs as well as songs with a local connection, such as the Coral. I thought the music was really good and before I knew it I was singing along and really getting into the vibe. I really liked the girl who was working behind the bar. She greeted me warmly and she looked after me all night by serving me drinks when I wanted one. She was up for a laugh and a giggle and all of the staff seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the customers. All in all I would recommend a night out in Southport to anyone. This bar in particular should be top of your list for a night out. I definitely had an unforgettable time at the Avenue and I would recommend a visit to this bar to anyone.

No complaint about coffee and toasted tea bread which we enjoyed and the staff are pleasant. However, a number of tables located around the corner from the servery were experiencing an unpleasant cold draught. We saw several customers sit down but soon move tables. We did mention this and were told it was because of wind direction and the big fans which are installed which can't be turned off. The other issue was the lack of customer WiFi and non-existent mobile signal on EE. Needless to say we didn't linger.

We had my daughters wedding reception here on Saturday, it was an amazing day. The atmosphere and the staff %100 helped to make this day as amazing as it was. The waitresses worked so hard with a continual smiles and the food was hot fresh and tasty. Bar staff also friendly and busy (as we drunk a lot )they were polite and service brilliant. Have no qualms in saying a big “Thankyou “ to all staff at Reuters you helped make the day perfect. X
