This is the first review I have ever written but I feel I have to do it, my wife and I went for lunch and ordered jacket potato with chilli for me and cheese toastie for my wife, The half spoonful of chillie on my spud look like it was scrapped off the bottom of the pan and put on the driest spud known to man , the toastie was even worse! I’ve served my time in the army and ate some bad things but that was the worse food I have ever had from a cafe, (BY FAR) I’m so frustrated in myself for not taking pics

No complaint about coffee and toasted tea bread which we enjoyed and the staff are pleasant. However, a number of tables located around the corner from the servery were experiencing an unpleasant cold draught. We saw several customers sit down but soon move tables. We did mention this and were told it was because of wind direction and the big fans which are installed which can't be turned off. The other issue was the lack of customer WiFi and non-existent mobile signal on EE. Needless to say we didn't linger.

I come occasionally when I visit my mum who lives in southport. On Saturday we visited and decided to have a cream tea each. Firstly I was told that they only had raspberry jam, not a favourite but after the gentleman checked this was my only choice. The scones were quite hard to cut and very dry, I suspect from being frozen. We were given butter, a pot of jam and a tub of clotted cream each. The cream had a sticker date on which said Fri 16/08. I noticed that the actual stamp in the cream had 24 J on it. I have noticed lately that some items have started to use this date stamp as best before/use by notice. I wasn't sure if this was the same on the clotted cream. When I opened the tub and put my knife in it was like hard butter. At first I wondered if it was frozen, however it appeared hard throughtout. I have had this cream on numerous occasions and it has always been soft beneath the crust, so much so that you can stir it with a knife. This was not like that, it was all like hard butter. I initially tried to spead it on the scone but it did not look right and I took it back to the counter. The two gentlemen checked some more but they were the same. I wasn't happy and so they offered me single or whipped cream, I chose the whipped. I asked for fresh scones, which, to my surprise where even drier than the first ones. The gentleman then bought over the whipped cream, I use the term loosely as it was plant based. This was all they had! I tried a bit but decided against it and just had butter. My mother had some on her's, however at 87 she keeps telling me she can't taste anything so this may be why she didn't mind. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike vegan and I have been a veggie for almost 3 decades, however, to old have plant based whipped cream is not very good. Needless to say I will not be having a cream tea here again, I enjoy their food normally, especially the victoria sponge slice. The hard scones and hard cream did not impress at all.

After shopping instore, we popped upstairs for a drink and were very impressed. The service was great, the place was lovely and i thought the coffee was delicious. We looked at the menu and decided that we would definitely return as the menu was perfect for a lunchtime snack and the prices excellent too. Overall, we really enjoyed it and i feel that they deserve a great review because, compared to many other cafes, we both felt they offer an all round lovely customer experience. Well done!

Staff were friendly. Service was abysmally slow. Ordered tuna sandwich - no tuna so chose ham instead not offered choice of bread, also ordered a ham & cheese toasty. When delivered there was no side salad with either - given a bag of crisps each instead. Sandwich had obviously come straight out of the fridge as it was cold and dry. The toasty was one of the poorest I have ever had. We will not be going back

This is the second time I have visited this cafe and I,didn’t Review the first time as I thought I would give it another chance. The staff are good, the place is clean and well kept. The coffee and scones are inedible. Scone was hard, twice!!! Felt like it had been there all week and the coffee, latte with caramel syrup, was tasteless, almost hot milk and water. Never again,

We had my daughters wedding reception here on Saturday, it was an amazing day. The atmosphere and the staff %100 helped to make this day as amazing as it was. The waitresses worked so hard with a continual smiles and the food was hot fresh and tasty. Bar staff also friendly and busy (as we drunk a lot )they were polite and service brilliant. Have no qualms in saying a big “Thankyou “ to all staff at Reuters you helped make the day perfect. X

A dump and a sorry fall from a previous decent venue. A sad indicator of decline of commerce/office workers in area due to working from home and closures.

Called in here today to give it a try and met with an argumentative waitress when we sent the coffee back for being too strong. When the food arrived it was banged down on the table without cutlery or a napkin. The one toilet that was working was disgustingly dirty and the waitresses were more happy chatting than cleaning occasionally. Definitely will not be going back here, awful place
