I popped in to Southport branch today for some food shopping. Having not been there before I wasn’t sure of where items were. There was a young man called Cole who was extremely helpful and Smiley nothing was too much trouble for him. I very rarely comment on customer service but when it’s exceptional I feel it needs to be recognised. Thank you cole !!

We had brunch after seeing a youtuber recommendation for the eggs benedict. The flavours were really lovely however the muffins were not toasted and the dish was under cooked as a whole. The staff were friendly and it was a lovely pleasant place to eat but the meal was just slightly undercooked.

Visited around Xmas with a friend (and her 18 month), and the service was simply disappointing… no one to ask (as my friend has dietary requirements), so I had to queue for over 20 mins… when I got to the front, was told there was no dairy-free milk or cakes… we left not good service… also the tables were dirty and not cleaned… so much for COVID regs…Don’t bother with M&S café; it’s simply not worth it!

I can’t understand why the cafe isn’t bigger , any time I have called into Southport it is always extremely busy Liverpool is even smaller Toilet could do with a complete refurbishment at Southport . I have seen ladies open the door of the ladies and turn back and refuse to go in due to the smell and that was just after supposedly cleaning!!!! Do the cleaners not know what bleach or disinfectant are?

Stopped in for lunch on day visit to Southport. Both had the chicken, mushroom and rice soup with rolls which was delicious. Quite busy but didn't have to wait very long for the food and drinks.

Popped in for coffee, and decided on all day Breakfast, which was the tastiest I've had for a long time. Excellent quality for a reasonable price. But, this was not just a Breakfast...it was an M&S Breakfast !

We called in for a quick coffee and a cake. We couldn't have been treated any better. The staff were warm and friendly and clearly very happy in their work. We were served by a lovely young lady called Ellie. I would recommend this cafe to anyone.

I visited Southport M&S on Saturday 6th. The staff were amazing as a young woman called Hannah helped me to find groceries. She was efficient and organised - as well as the lovely person on the till. Good shopping experience.

I regularly visit Southport Marks and Spencer for a cup of tea and toasted tea cake. Whilst the tea cake is very nice it is rarely warm, sometimes even cold. Also I must comment on the tea. They have the water temperature on the machine set too low to make a decent pot of tea.i have complained to the Restaurant manager about the water temperature but nothing alters. I keep persevering with the coffee shop because I have vouchers being a member of Premium Club.

This afternoon we went to Marks and Spencer’s Cafe and ordered two toasted tea cakes. Having been given our hot drinks we then had to wait fifteen minutes for the tea cakes. We were in good company as everyone else had to wait an inordinately long time for hot food. The couple next to us complained that by the time the gentleman’s sausage arrived his wife had finished her meal. The curt response from the waitress was that they only had two ovens. Not being prepared to receive similar treatment I decided not to complain. Even though our hot drinks were now stone cold. Other excellent eating establishments are available in Southport.

Received a gift token for birthday so decided to spend it in the cafe as could not find any clothes suitable. Ordered the all day breakfast and Chicken and Bacon Carbonera and coffee which came to just under £20. I was glad that I hadn't paid for my meal as it just wasn't worth the price. Just under £8 for an all day breakfast, and the same price for the Chicken carbonera which was not good value for money. If you were just having a cake and coffee then this place would be okay (although there are far better places nearby which don't look like a canteen. M&S seem to have gone down in quality both for their clothes and their cafe food.

Visited this afternoon for a cuppa and cakes, had 2 pots of tea which were fine quite strong tea.Cakes, hot sandwiches etc., just a little pricey in my opinion. Service was fine, tables were emptied and wiped down pretty speedily. Not as busy as it used to be, and we would prefer to go elsewhere.

A busy café in Southport, with a long wait in the queue to order. Great quality food very pricey. Moreover, the café is well organised and it is easy to get cutlery and other bits. Friendly staff but can sometimes forget to do things (eg; cleaning tables)

My husband was gasping for a coffee so we headed for M&S; and had a spot of lunch while we were there. Hot chocolate was lovely and hubby's coffee was great as he had an extra shot added to it which gave him the oomph he needed. Sandwiches were nice, fresh and well packaged considering it was late afternoon. Staff pleasant and service was efficient including clearing and cleaning tables.

18th March 2017 we popped in for a hot drink to escape the rain. Bought a vanilla latte and a luxury hot chocolate. The latte was distinctly lacking in vanilla syrup and the hot chocolate tasted like it had roughly one teaspoon of powder in it and was made with water or at best skimmed milk. Undrinkable. So £6.25 later we were not happy at all. Clearly their idea of luxury and mine are 2 different things. I expected genuine melted chocolate not powder and a choice of water, skimmed, full fat milk. They management need to call into Hotel Chocolat to see what a proper hot chocolate should be.

On the face of it, this café should be reasonable. The sandwiches are pre packed, the cakes also. As soon as there is any interaction over drinks or anything else, things deteriorate. Hot drinks are prepared over cold, staff take the order and paument for smoothies etc. and then come back and say they have run out of stock. Biscuits are put on plates of people who are gluten free.

A cafe that has just been improved this week. Much more contemporary furniture and decor. Helpful staff and ordinary cafe food. Filter coffee is good.

Ordered Breakfast via Just Eat, 1.5hrs after ordering the food hadn't t turned up, I called them and was told by a man the food was leaving the café just then and should be with me in a few mins he they apologized as they had been really busy. 2hrs after I ordered the food I attended the Café to collect the food to be met by the most arrogant and rude staff (all apart from 1 lovely lady, who did try to help me). No food had even been made and when I advised I had come to collect a Just Eat order which I had order 2hrs ago I was told "and what" I explained that I had called and spoke to a man who advised it was leaving but it still hadn't turned up. The young lad who I was speaking with just shrugged his shoulders. I asked for a refund and was told by the young lad he cannot authorize a refund so I ask to speak to someone who could as there still was no food for me to collect. He said he would get the boss. The 'Boss Lady' appeared and asked me "what do you want" I explained again what had happened the 'Boss Lady' advised "We have been busy we are a Café what do you expect"? A lovely lady who was also present was looking to see if the food had been made and was bagged up on the side to no avail. I once again advised the 'Boss Lady' that I had ordered and paid for food 2hrs earlier in good faith, I had called and was advised that the food was on its way and I understood they had been busy so I called down to collect myself, that I was quite ill and that's the whole reason why I had ordered via Just eat in the 1st place for a delivery and I didn't really want to come out the house but I thought I'd run down to the café to collect as it still hadn't arrived but the food still hadn't even been made so could I have a refund. The 'Boss lady' told me they don't give refunds. you have to go through to Just eat. I turned to walk out of the Café when the 'Boss lady' then asked me stupidly if I no longer wanted the food??? I turned to her and said you haven't even made it, ill do what you say Ill go through Just Eat for a refund but I will also leave a review turned and opened the door to leave. The young lad shouted something quite derogatory to me so I turned and said don't treat me feel like a horrible person! Once outside I get in my car and look up to see the 'Boss Lady' running out of the Café like a lunatic screaming and running at me "not to slam the Café door" she was obviously wanting a fight, I am no fool or will I be intimidated so I got out of my car to speak with her. The lovely lady from the café had to drag her back into the café. Obviously her Café door means a lot to her! (In all honesty I don't even remember closing the door). I was very shook up and really not very well plus my son was in the car witnessing this I thought I would just go home and contact Just Eat. 3hrs after this incident some random man turned up at my door screaming and shouting at me to not slam his Café door again and never come to his Café again! As if I would ever go there and give them my money after what had happened anyway is laughable. This man ranted and raved at me and my 2 teenage sons threatening to come and smash my windows in and my 2 sons faces in. I got it all on my Ring door bell and contacted the Police. Not only did this woman try to attack me outside the Café for allegedly "slamming the Café door" but then got her, I'm assuming partner to attend my home 3hrs later to threaten me... Is this something normal business'/people do now a days? This was reported to the police as they clearly have broken GDPR rules as well as their threatening behavior but also Just Eat and the ICO. Never again will I ever order through Just Eat or with this Café! I also stress to everyone else, don't let them have your home address as you never know when they will turn up on your door step. Don't ask for a refund when you have paid them for food that they don't deliver or even make.... Most importantly DO NOT SLAM THIER CAFE DOOR!

Went to kiosk a couple of months ago, was dissatisfied with selection of cakes, and coffee was cold. Maybe I called at a bad time to miss the cakes but I will not be returning to find out, overall disappointed.

Dapa has had a revamp and it is looking fabulous! Clearly under new management and with consistent regular faces, it’s great to see. The new sandwiches are brilliant too - glad to see it getting back on its feet!
