My friend was going to an auction and going to have her tea at the auction cafe. Cafe clean and very basic. The food was amazing. Good basic well cooked staple recipes. I had lasagne. My friend had shepherds pie. Was absolutely gorgeous. You could have it with chips, beans, peas or gravy - or all the lot! Plate full and cup of coffee £4.50 Can take out so I am going to get some for my freezer. Beats supermarket ready meals. Did not study the menu but noticed plate pies and sausages. Puddings and cakes looked good too.

Lovely find, tucked away on an industrial estate in Clitheroe, very pleasant and helpful staff and yummy food, a huge range of cafe staples and the range of home made cakes were extremely tempting. Tasty food enjoyed by all, very clean and spacious, good amount of space between tables. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Eat in or takeaway and onsite carpark.

Well made cocktails can be found at The Dispensary, so good we stopped for a 2nd. We sat in the room towards the back, there is an upstairs area as well. Friendly staff and clientele. Well worth a visit.

Great overnight stay at the white bull. The boutique room we booked was really comfortable and clean and boutique style! The pub is friendly and the breakfast was excellent quality and great value for money. Friendly and welcoming staff, the team member at breakfast was very friendly and welcoming. The location is great as it asits between the historic towns of Skipton and Clitheroe and the pub itself is in a stunning countryside setting. Definitely be returning.

Our first time at Artisan, a family meal for Zacs 23rd birthday. Very stylish, comfortable restaurant, friendly efficient staff. I ordered the burger, it came with chips, coleslaw & onion rings. Couldn't fault it , it was juicy & tasty. I really enjoyed it. The rest of the group enjoyed halloumi bites, Moroccan meat balls, & two different pies. They were all happy with their choices. Would definitely go again.

After noon tea ... absolutely disgusted with the lack of attention to customer service and courtesy.Booked our table for 4 people .Wasn't ready when we arrived ..not offered any chance of a drink .Taken to sit at a table only big enough for two people but had to fit all four of us . afternoon tea was inedible as jam pots and marmalade pots had already been opened and used else where with evidence of half filled pots mixed with butter from a knife (presumably) and the cream for the scones had already been used with scoops in it from a used spoon ..There was not enough sandwiches and cakes for two people never mind four ..... On requesting a word with the manager we were told this was not possible as there wasn't a manager on site ..... Refusing to believe this we. Insisted someone came to us .... Eventually we showed the second in charge (presumably again).he looked and disappeared never to be seen again ,!! Needless to say we didn't eat any of the sandwiches as they looked liked they had been passed from what was left over and we also did not Pay ......Advising the staff that we would be adding this to trip advisor and also afew. Other people behind us in the place ......This also needs reporting to the local health and hygiene dept one of my friends will also be adding to this with photos ... ...

I visited the Pavillion cafe on Sunday for some lunch. I have a severe nut allergy (anaphylaxis) and therfore made the server aware when ordering our food. I asked for the fish and chips and she seemed very unsure so went to check with the kitchen which was good. After making me aware that nuts were used in the kitchen however were not used in any of the fryers I decided to go ahead with the order. However, before our food arrived she came back over to ask if I had my epipen on me which obviously made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe eating there. Therefore, when the food arrived I didn’t feel safe to eat it and had to give it to my partner. As an allergy sufferer I was very disappointed in the handling of the situation as every restaurant/cafe I have visited in recent years have been very educated on allergies and have been very reassuring and taken it seriously: checking if anyone has any allergies on ordering, providing ingredient lists and making staff aware which meals need to be prepared with more care etc. I am only writing this review in the hope that staff here become better trained on how to handle customers with allergies as I feel they were not at the standard they should be. I do not want to but a negative view on the cafe as the food looked lovely and my partner did enjoy the food.

I ordered the crispy lamb salad which was well presented on lettuce but it was burnt. I was asked how was my food and said that the lamb was burnt and I couldn’t eat it. The waitress said that she would tell the chef. Nothing happened. It was three very expensive burnt mouthfuls for £21.

Do not stay here. We stayed and we felt we were in the film The Shining. Very shabby and was just left with no hotel staff on the premises. It was very expensive as well, the hotel down the road was considerably cheaper and so much nicer. We booked for 2 nights but stayed only 1. We requested a refund as we felt it was pure false advertising but was refused. Please, do not stay here you will hate it
