Very limited gluten free options unfortunately, on arrival instead on going through what l could eat they just put a full allergens menu infront of me that l had to go through myself, when I went to order the man said 'everything is done in the same fryer but that will be ok won't it?' Unfortunately anyone with coeliac disease or an tolerance to gluten will know that is not ok so l just had goats cheese on toast starter as my meal, would not recommend unfortunately, I felt discriminated and felt embarrassed infront of my group of friends.

We visited the cafe this Sunday. We checked the google timings before we set off. Timings were from 10.00 to 4.00pm. Reached there by 2.00pm and surprisingly the cafe was closed. Extremely disappointed. The timings on the entrance said the same time for Sunday. We were more annoyed as we drove almost an hour to reach Skipton. Won’t be going again.

Up their own backsides unless you are in every week spending money. clueless customer service. Bike snobbery a plenty.

My friend was going to an auction and going to have her tea at the auction cafe. Cafe clean and very basic. The food was amazing. Good basic well cooked staple recipes. I had lasagne. My friend had shepherds pie. Was absolutely gorgeous. You could have it with chips, beans, peas or gravy - or all the lot! Plate full and cup of coffee £4.50 Can take out so I am going to get some for my freezer. Beats supermarket ready meals. Did not study the menu but noticed plate pies and sausages. Puddings and cakes looked good too.

Well made cocktails can be found at The Dispensary, so good we stopped for a 2nd. We sat in the room towards the back, there is an upstairs area as well. Friendly staff and clientele. Well worth a visit.

Very good food and wonderful staff. Stayed for 3 nights and ate here twice. Fish and chips was very fresh and substantial. Sausage and mash the following night was wonderful. Rooms are very comfortable and the home made biscuits just divine.

Disgusted. Having phoned and booked a table for lunch we then made the 30 minute journey for what we thought would be a lovely lunch, however once we got there we discovered the lift was broken and there was no way of getting me and my wheelchair to the bistro. The staff at the downstairs desk told us they were sorry, we should have been told the lift was broken, but there was nothing they could do

Do not stay here. We stayed and we felt we were in the film The Shining. Very shabby and was just left with no hotel staff on the premises. It was very expensive as well, the hotel down the road was considerably cheaper and so much nicer. We booked for 2 nights but stayed only 1. We requested a refund as we felt it was pure false advertising but was refused. Please, do not stay here you will hate it

After spending a leisurely time in the Hotel Spa next door (Stanley Hall) which my family had treated me to for Mothers day, we were looking forward to Lunch in Freds, a two course including prossecco which was included in the package. The Prosecco came and we gave our order to the waitress from the menu. Tomato soup was our choice for starter. We were told that we will have to wait at least half an hour for the mains as they were busy. 1 HOUR later the soup had not arrived! I went to tell the staff that it was unacceptable to have to wait so long for soup when the restaurant was half empty. They apologized and said it was because there was a wedding event in the grounds and the chefs were busy. Total disregard for the customers in the restaurant. My daughter then demanded to see the Manager and complained. He said the soup was now ready and it would be butternut squash! he asked us if that was ok. All of us shouted a verbal NO! We asked who do we complain to to get our money back which was £70 per person. The manger gave us an email address and a complimentary bottle of wine. This was so disappointing and I felt really sorry for my family who wanted to treat me to something special after my recent illness. This restaurant is not run properly, the service is shocking and after reading some reviews we are glad we didn't sample the food. Beware!
