I tried to make a booking. I asked for a table away from the bar area as on a previous visit it had been too noisy to enjoy. Very rowdy groips nearby. The lady was most unhelpful, not listening properly, impatient, wouldn't accommodate my request and told me it's noisy everywhere on Saturday night. She was snappy and had no customer service skills and almost cut me off. There's more to running a restaurant than cooking the food.

A great Thai meal in the heart of the Ribble Valley. Would definitely recommend especially the Early Bird menu. The satay & minced pork toasts were very good. Mains were Thai green curry & stir fry and both were excellent.

Heard good things about the Kings Arms so opted for a Thai takeaway for my birthday. Went online to order, chose a menu and got all the way through to the checkout when the message came up 'we are not accepting online orders'. A mobile number was offered instead, which I rang - no reply, which I thought was poor for 5pm on a Saturday night. Rang back 30 mins later - got an irate man on the phone demanding to know where I had got this number from (I explained - the website of the Kings Arms); he said he no longer worked there and he was bombarded with calls and wanted his number taking off their website, which I offered to pass on. I searched for another number and found a landline - I rang and placed my order (set Menu B, 2 people, £45.90, and 5% discount for cash). At the end of my order, I explained about the mobile number online being out of date and how the former employee wanted it removing. They sounded bemused and the whole conversation was confusing, with me being left on the line while they had a conversation in another language to someone else. I went to collect my order at the appointed time and was told it was £53 (no discount for cash) and when I challenged this, was told that the website was wrong and they had no say over it. Not impressed at the whole reception. Took the takeaway home and found that, bar the beef with basil which was nice, the rest was really poor quality, like a takeaway I'd pay a bit over half that for usually. The starters were slightly taseteless and soft (not crispy). The battered prawns were mushy. The red chicken curry had coagulated slightly. Overall, satisfactory at best but definitely not worth the £53 and the inaccurate website and whole ordering experience means I won't be going back.

Nice restaurant. nice outdoor space that requires cleaning badly. The food was lovely and to be honest if you don’t like being hit on the wallet don’t go. It is a tad on the expensive side, rice is not included so this can take a main dish into the £25-£30 bracket without a starter. Very tasty mind and the portions are more for the slightly hungry and not the starving. All together very nice and we will visit again definitely. Nice people nice atmosphere.

We have travelled to Thailand many times & never realised until today we had our own slice of Thai food on our doorstep. We both ordered different dishes & all of them took us back to the streets of Thailand, friendly, great hosts & as well as great food the customer service is high on their priority… if you happen to find yourself in the Ribble Valley in Clitheroe & love Thai food please don’t pass up the opportunity to give it a try, you won’t be disappointed Noel & Kate

All the four of us had the Chicken Spring Rolls, not very big but very tasty, both our friends had the Beef Black Bean Stir Fry with Thai Jasmine Rice, both said it was very good. My wife had the Beef Chilli Jam Stir Fry with Egg Fried Rice and I had the Jungle Curry with Egg Fried Rice. All the food was excellent has well as the service and the decor is very nice. Thank you

Visited early evening before a show and had a delicious meal with very friendly service. My wife had Tom Yum soup and the sea bass with lime (one of the chefs recommendations), while I had crispy chicken salad and a red curry. We will definitely be back.

Our first visit to Kings. Comfortable restaurant with great staff. There were eight of us, but our food arrived fairly quickly. I enjoyed my two courses & couldn't manage a dessert. All of us enjoyed our food, my husband thought his fried duck dish was superb. Would be happy to go again.

We ordered from the special menu, £12.95 for 2 courses Satay Chicken and Gyoza followed by Chicken Pad Thai and Prawn Thai Green Curry which came with complementary jasmine rice, portions were not huge but the waiter did explain this - we added a portion of fries and crackers and were were both comfortably full. Everything was excellent including the service - the bar and restaurant are spotless.

Made a booking relatively last minute for a meal for 4 mid-week. We all ate from the Early Bird Menu and noted that it had increased in price a LOT from our previous visit. The food was OK, but by no means great, and the portion sizes were REALLY small. One glass of lager each sent the price soaring to a few pence under £76 - a big price for a very small and really quite basic mid-week meal. Won`t be returning for the forseeable. There are other Thai restaurants in the area which offer much better value.

We came on a Saturday afternoon. The place is beautiful, the staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. We had starters and a main each - the food was AMAZING! Yes, it is slightly pricy but you get what you pay for. The cocktails were also delicious! We can’t wait to return!

Food was fine, but prices were very high and quantity was small particularly for the starter. We had the shared taster starter for £19 betwen two people and each of us had just five small items. Seemed pretty expensive for what it was. Went away hungry! Lager was £5 a pint.

Great food nicely presented, but the feel-good factor that any restaurant loves to provide is ruined by a crazy pricing structure ! Two cokes were ordered and delivered in glasses less than the size of a half pint glass. The glasses had been filled with ice and the volume of coke in the glass was probably only a third of the volume of an already tiny glass. No slice of lemon and probably not even coke brand but syrup from a carbonated drinks machine. Price £3 ! ! ! The main courses are not offered with rice and Thai rice and/or egg fried rice are available at £4.50 a portion. As it is quite common in Asian restaurants to offer fair portions of a product that costs little, one often ends up sharing portions of rice so as not to leave and waste food - particularly if a single portion of boiled rice is £4.50. On ordering four mains our group agreed to share two portions of rice. The waiter asked if we weren’t hungry and low and behold the portions of rice delivered to the table with the meal were very small. Crazy ! ! The food was tasty but there was undoubtedly an uncomfortable feeling on pricing that ruined an otherwise potentially enjoyable meal. Plenty of venues in The Ribble Valley where good food and fair pricing can be enjoyed and much as I enjoyed the food, I won’t be returning.

Excellent Thai food and good service. The food is skilfully prepared, and pays attention to the authentic Thai flavours that are rarely achieved in UK Thai restaurants. Recommended.

Superb food, lovely, polite service …….. a little on the pricey side, but actually worth it for the food presentation and flavours …….. certainly much better than the majority of so-called ‘gastro pubs’ in the Ribble Valley, presenting very ordinary pies with asparagus tastefully arranged on top ! Well worth a visit 👍

I have eaten here around 5 times now and it has been brilliant every time! The service is great and the food is even better! The midweek deal is a great offer if not it’s slightly on the expensive side but it is great!

I visited the Pavillion cafe on Sunday for some lunch. I have a severe nut allergy (anaphylaxis) and therfore made the server aware when ordering our food. I asked for the fish and chips and she seemed very unsure so went to check with the kitchen which was good. After making me aware that nuts were used in the kitchen however were not used in any of the fryers I decided to go ahead with the order. However, before our food arrived she came back over to ask if I had my epipen on me which obviously made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe eating there. Therefore, when the food arrived I didn’t feel safe to eat it and had to give it to my partner. As an allergy sufferer I was very disappointed in the handling of the situation as every restaurant/cafe I have visited in recent years have been very educated on allergies and have been very reassuring and taken it seriously: checking if anyone has any allergies on ordering, providing ingredient lists and making staff aware which meals need to be prepared with more care etc. I am only writing this review in the hope that staff here become better trained on how to handle customers with allergies as I feel they were not at the standard they should be. I do not want to but a negative view on the cafe as the food looked lovely and my partner did enjoy the food.
