Tbh the staff in here are so inconsistent. There has been times they have been good. But other times it feels like you are an inconvenience. But the Sunday I’ve been in just very disappointing. Lots of people all working wandering about doing very little. I asked to sit somewhere didn’t feel the girl was very accommodating nor happy. Then was a hassle asking another girl for a menu as wasn’t any on the table. Then no one bothered to come to ask what I wanted just walked back and forth. Thought I was invisible. So I asked another girl can someone serve me. Again not the best attitude as if it was such a hassle to her I asked. Anyway she goes behind the bar not sure she said to anyone and 10 mins later I’m still sitting here and no one has bothered to ask. So in total about 20 mins and no drinks no food as no one asked. It’s actually very embarrassing and I walked out and will just go to the emporium across the road. Just disrespectful and very poor standards especially as so many staff and not too busy. In this day and age maybe they just need to show some respect and be a bit more cheery and accommodating. Doesn’t cost much.

There were too many repeats on the bar and 90% were very pale and hoppy, the only beer I really wanted was the Stout brewed by Bowland but I was told they didn't have any, a brewery that does not have it's own beer for sale!!!!!

Lovely ciders too. We ate inside and I loved looking round at all the old machinery. Food was good. Desserts were delicious. The hall is atmospheric. Service was fine. Ended our night enjoying a few more drinks outside. Super evening.

Scammed. We parked here with a disabled person using a blue badge. We stayed for three and a half hours, eating in the beer hall and shopping in the food hall. Two weeks later we received a parking ticket for almost £100, stating that the car park has a three hour parking limit. We did not noticed the signs at the time stating this! The signs are purposely hard to spot to scam people. I spent a large amount of money already at Bowland Beer Hall and they see it fit to scam me from another £100 for using their services! Bowland - you owe me money. Please contact me asap to refund the money you owe me for your parking scam. Otherwise I will never spend another penny at your establishment again and I will advise everyone to do the same.

Bowland Beer Hall at Holmes Mill Clitheroe is a truly spectacular place for drinks and dining. Nestled in picturesque Clitheroe, Bowland Beer Hall has heritage and history being an original brewery that has a stunning old machinery incorporated into the repurposed venue. It has one of the longest bars I've ever seen and a stunning array of drinks on offer including its own produce. We originally stopped purely for looking around and drinks however we were so impressed with venue and the menu we had to order the food and I'm so glad we did. The food was equally as impressive as the surroundings. The nduja fries is an excellent touch.

Walked into this huge bar and met by very helpful bar staff. Heh, my lucky night all cask beer half price I was told by my informative server. Started with a couple of halves of their Bowland Ales and the wife was on cider. Server asked if we were eating, which we were, so set up a tab for us. We went to a seat and ordered our food. Two more halves were followed by two more before returning for some pints. Only brewery I've been to where I liked all of their ales. 10/10. Food was also excelant, more than enough. They do allow dogs and kids and seeing a dog on a bench cleaning a plate was off-putting, but that's more the client than the bars fault Time to make a move I settled my bill and left. Next morning we were on the road when my wife checked the bill. All the beer was charged at full price!! emailed them but no reply.

I went Bowland Beer Hall with my parents after watching a film at the Everyman Cinema on Wednesday 1st November, from the moment we got a table to going home was exceptional, the service was superb. it is set in an historic old mill it is spacious, accessible for large wheelchairs and the friendliness was beyond believe, we all ordered the steak pie and 3 tasting beer trays, which the meal and the beer was incredible, very smooth and drinkable, i would highly recommend it to anyone, for casual, couples, catching up with friends, families, dog walkers. it is really accessible with a disabled toilet on the ground ground, it has a lift for disabled people to access upstairs for private functions. The staff were accommodating especially Simon and James, and also Pete the lovely barman. Definitely will go back without doubt we can't wait!

This is such a lovely place to have a drink but, sadley, the food isn't the best. The Caeser salad came with Anchovies; I have never know a C. salad come with anchovies. The staff were nice enough to change it without hesitation but even then the new salad was not the best. We both had Philly Steak burger. The steak was lovely but it was smoothered in a liquid cheese, that wasn't the nicest and it made the bun so soggy it was inedible. So a lovely setting, lovely staff but food leaves alot to be desired.

Got to experience this wonderful bar at its peak! It was absolutely packed both inside and out, and the atmosphere was electric! We were lucky enough to have been in when the locals were finishing their big pub walk. They had music on outside and there were lots of people dancing and singing outside. It was very busy so did take a while to get served but when the young girl served us she was smiley, happy, and really polite despite the fact that we had just heard someone being really rude to her. We then went back for another round later on and the same girl (I think she was one of the managers as she had a white blouse on instead of the uniform that the others where wearing) served us and remembered exactly what we had ordered previously. My friends and I were astonished by this as there were about 8 different drinks and she had served multiple people in between our rounds. Bowl and beerhall you’re doing something right with your training if all your staff are like her. Will absolutely be back.

I booked this place as I enjoy real ales and it didn't disappoint on that front. Great selection in an amazing old mill. However, the food. My Wife and I both ordered the steak and ale pie with chips and at the same time ordered drinks. The food arrived faster than a McDonald's and appeared to have been thrown on the tray, yes a tray, from a great distance, so much for presentation. The drinks arrived 10 minutes later. The quality was 4 out of 10 and I absolutely hate chips soaked in gravy. The place was fairly quiet but, on going to the bar to order more drinks, the service was very slow with one barman doing the majority of the work. If you like real ales this is the place to visit in a beautiful old setting but beware the food and service.

I have always enjoyed a visit to the brewery hall. The food is always very nice and the beer is obviously always impeccable. Yesterday was no different. Order the pie and chips as it’s a firm favourite, along with a drink of Hen Harrier. Both were very good and didn’t miss a trick. The only reason it’s not a solid 5 stars is the place was pretty empty and the service was a bit slow considering the amount of staff in the hall. Although the service was a bit slow the food arrived promptly and the staff were still very friendly as always with that northern hospitality. I would always return to the beer hall and would always recommend to friends and family.

I visited the Pavillion cafe on Sunday for some lunch. I have a severe nut allergy (anaphylaxis) and therfore made the server aware when ordering our food. I asked for the fish and chips and she seemed very unsure so went to check with the kitchen which was good. After making me aware that nuts were used in the kitchen however were not used in any of the fryers I decided to go ahead with the order. However, before our food arrived she came back over to ask if I had my epipen on me which obviously made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe eating there. Therefore, when the food arrived I didn’t feel safe to eat it and had to give it to my partner. As an allergy sufferer I was very disappointed in the handling of the situation as every restaurant/cafe I have visited in recent years have been very educated on allergies and have been very reassuring and taken it seriously: checking if anyone has any allergies on ordering, providing ingredient lists and making staff aware which meals need to be prepared with more care etc. I am only writing this review in the hope that staff here become better trained on how to handle customers with allergies as I feel they were not at the standard they should be. I do not want to but a negative view on the cafe as the food looked lovely and my partner did enjoy the food.
