A great cafe serving delicious food and the homemade cakes are by far the best. Nice to come here for food but also a great stop add after walking the tolken trails! Lots of lovely walks around . Dog Friendly and the staff are lovely too.

Just bought a sausage, bacon and egg butty to take back home from an early morning stroll around town. I’ll be back again next weekend. That was delicious! Proper tasty meat that and generous. Isn’t worth trying to make my own any more to get one like yours. Cheers!

A lovely cafe with limited seating but that adds to the atmosphere. Dog friendly and aa single table for two outdoors if you don't mind eating on the pavement. Food was good - I had a basic 'vegan' breakfast - nothing out of the ordinary and all cooked well. But the entire trip was sullied and spoilt by being stopped as I left by the waitress to ask if I had paid - as if I would simply leave. I can only presume it is because I was wearing obvious motorbike gear and not the cashmere sweaters the regular clientele adorn. I am not a fan of societal prejudice, especially smaller, harder to quantify and call out ones such as these. I won't be returning.

They don't sell food but have a good range of real ales, beers and spirits at reasonable prices. Good atmosphere but gets very busy quickly given small venue.

If you're a member of a walking group, or just out walking in the vicinity of Hurst Green or Stoneyhurst College, this place is a gem of a find just minutes away at the Gardens at Stydd. They provide super coffee and cakes, plus more if you wish, in comfortable, warm surroundings. The staff are very friendly and super efficient and it was an absolute pleasure to find it. (The Victoria Sponge was in my top three Victoria Sponges, and believe you me, I've eaten many over the years!) I could not recommend this establishment highly enough and will definitely come here again.

We arrived with friends that had recommended The Whalley Wine Bar (and Wine shop). We started with visiting the wine shop, after browsing the wines through the store we got chatting to a few, very knowledgeable chaps that really knew their stuff. Lots of recommendations to sample different wines. We earmarked a few wines, but then left to get a bite to eat next door in the wine bar, to then return and make our purchases. The wine bar, on a Saturday was extremely busy (no surprise), however we were made to feel welcome and although we hadn't reserved a table, the waitress managed to make us some space with a 30 minute limit, she then managed to move bookings around, giving us a lot longer (a nice touch). From here we ordered some delicious bites to go with the wine, (Mine being a Chablis and Pate). The atmosphere was truly amazing and the service very good. We then returned to the wine shop to purchase our wines, which again, really made to feel welcome even though the shop at this point was a lot busier. All in all, a very lovely experience from both sides of this business. We live over an hour away but we're already planning our return, trust me, it's worth the drive.

Although a good distance from our home in west Richmondshire, we decided to try this new gastropub after an event in Settle. We love inventive menus and beautiful plate presentations in addition to great taste, and found them all here. I began with the rabbit, followed by venison, finished with a pannacotta. My wife chose two starters instead of having a main - BBQ lobster and cheese souffle - finishing with sticky toffee pudding. All were delicious and beautifully-presented. Some may complain about portion size, but we found them perfect, allowing us to enjoy 3 courses without feeling sorry on the drive home. Service was top-notch too. We'll definitely make this an annual trek.

Very limited gluten free options unfortunately, on arrival instead on going through what l could eat they just put a full allergens menu infront of me that l had to go through myself, when I went to order the man said 'everything is done in the same fryer but that will be ok won't it?' Unfortunately anyone with coeliac disease or an tolerance to gluten will know that is not ok so l just had goats cheese on toast starter as my meal, would not recommend unfortunately, I felt discriminated and felt embarrassed infront of my group of friends.
