Can’t imagine why you would go elsewhere in Clitheroe, what an absolute gem of a place. We went for lunch having the veggie breakfast (beautiful presentation, halloumi with homemade baked beans absolutely stand out) lentil soup (of course homemade), sourdough with feta and avocado and the sweet potato hash (delicious, slightly well done). And then Atkinsons coffee! A winner all round for 20 yr olds, us in our 50s and mum in 80s! Thank you for having us!

Spent a couple of nights in Clitheroe and was recommended Jungle by a friend as we wanted to do brunch. We absolutely loved it. The coffee was good. Two of our group had the full English but it included their home made spicy baked beans, good quality bacon and they both had a sausage which was delicious. My sister-in-law and I had the avacado on sour dough with feta, poached egg and tomato. I have never tasted tomato's as good, they are slow roasted for around 3 hours and sprinkled with rosemary, salt and pepper, so flavoursome and juicy. We like the place so much that we went back for brunch the second day and had the same meal. Really lovely staff and quirky decor. Would definitely recommend if visiting Clitheroe.

Friendly stuff and I particularly enjoyed the Turkish eggs. Poached eggs with some garlic yoghurt, chilli oil and sourdough. Very nice indeed I’ve had it a few times- cash only but a great place and I shall be returning.

Cash only so won't be going there again. Always very dubious when anyone or place only accepts cash.

Stumbled upon Jungle while visiting Clitheroe on a Sunny Tuesday lunchtime, attracted to the menu sandwich board outside.....I got the Chicken thigh flatbread which was sublime, my wife opted for the avocado sourdough but asked to leave out the feta, the owner offered a couple of poached eggs as a replacement, which was appreciated....Will definitely return when visiting the area .

It was very quiet when we called in here but very friendly welcome and great cocktails,would definitely call again .

Top nosh. Sourdough rolls imported from Spain and baked off here. I had a bacon and egg roll. Bloomin’ lovely.

Great food, fairly priced. You can generally tell the quality of food by the size of the menu. A concise menu means good food and that's what you get here. Staff really polite and always have a smile, despite the steps they must rack up! Cash only too, which I fully support as being better for businesses and the local economy. Just been again 08-06-2024, once again, wonderful food, atmosphere and service.

Called in based on the attractive menu outside. Lots of choice and we opted for the £11 breakfast with flat white coffee. I did accidentally throw my coffee across the table and the gentleman was so kind and offered me another coffee for free. The breakfast was utterly delicious. The beans were a shock at first, but again; scrumptious! I thoroughly recommend a visit of you are in Clitheroe. We certainly will. 😋

Lovely gem of a coffee shop with great tasting coffee, along with homemade cakes. There's also live music Saturday pm. Ideally book in advance as it gets busy and it's cash only.

Recommended by a member of the Castle staff me and my friend decided to give Jungle a try. A breakfast is not an exotic meal but when done well it's a joy. Well done to Jungle for doing a simple meal superbly. A belting cup of tea as well

A lovely little cafe not far from the castle base. The staff were very welcoming and friendly which is always good. Amber the waitress was very good and attentive. The food was excellent and certainly not bland. Seasoned to perfection. I had a vegetarian breakfast which was unlike any I've ever had anywhere and was absolutely delicious. Non greasy and colourful in its presentation. The halloumi strips and advocado contributed to the joy of this meal. The baked beans were not from a tin and had a flavour I've never experienced before. A delicious meal which rounded off perfectly our trip to Clitheroe castle.I will certainly call in again the next time I visit Clitheroe. Thanks to Jungle for their great food and customer care.

Never had a bad experience in Jungle. It’s one of our favourite places in town. Great food and service. They only accept cash, which I can commend them for. There is a cash machine very close by.

Very impressed with the food here. Popped in for brunch and had the breakfast with sourdough toast. Tomatoes 3 hour slow roasted mmm .. finally a cooked tomato jeeees!!! Beautiful eggs.. Best perfect pouched eggs I ever had. Lovely food staff and owner. It's a must try as it's just really good With homemade beens.. nice.. brilliant drinks selection. I will be returning asap

What a corker of a café this little beauty is. Popped in on a very wet and windy Sunday in Clitheroe for something wet and warm. Ended up having a bite to eat while we're there so glad we did. I had the home made beans with egg on sourdough toast, I was cheeky and added a sausage, so glad I did it was lovely and one of the nicest sausage I've had in a while very tasty. Hubby to be had full English he loved it and couldn't stop talking about how impressed he was that the tomato was actually soft and cooked, not just slightly warmed up like you get in most place. I think he told everyone we saw that day, and the poached egg is the best he's had too. Quality of the food here is outstanding Staff were friendly and happy to tell you about the produce that they use from coffee beans to eggs. And the brownies are the best all cakes are homemade. Highly recommend this place whether you're a local or like us visitors for the day it's the place to go for a good coffee and excellent food

had a cocktail that cost £9! It was in a short glass too. Total rip off They had a lady singing she was good.

The lemon cake and the banana and date cake were beautiful, highly recommend trying them. Also great to see a cash only café!!👍

Not a bad place but the prices are too high for what they offer. It is a common thing to price up in this town but I can easily get the same quality for less.

Visiting Clitheroe for the day, we walked past here as they were setting up for live music at 14:30. Had a potter and swung back around. Very glad we did! The staff were lovely, cakes were incredible and the vibes were immaculate. Unfortunately we didn't catch the musicians name but they were amazing! We also arrived just after they were stopping serving food (not an issue as we only wanted coffee and a bun). But from the dishes of customers already eating it looked super tasty! They seem to stay open quite late and have events quite often so definitely a place to check out. Will be back for proper food next time! 💜

Had a lovely breakfast in this busy,buzzy place. The Sweet potato stack with poached egg was perfection and the bacon bagel on the other side of the table went down well too. Prompt service, and decent prices for well presented food. Recommmended.

The Jungle is a fantastic little spot. The food is excellent, great quality and has its own flare. The staff are lovely and I always feel very well looked after. The Jungle is our go-to on a weekend for brunch. It's definitely one of my favourites and I recommend it to anyone who comes to visit.

The best Coffee and breakfast in the Ribble Valley.

We had a very nice late lunch, actually the last customers of the day, the owner was welcoming and soon had our order sorted, being the last customers we didn't feel rushed with our food.

Great little cafe, caught them as they were getting ready for an event but they were still happy to serve coffee and cakes. The carrot cake was delicious.

Next level food and service. Would 100% come back.

Jungle is a first-rate cafe. They serve excellent coffees, which I usually judge on the strength of their ability to serve a decent flat white - no half-hearted attempt at just a latte in a small cup, you actually get the real thing with proper microfoam bubbles. More than that though, they serve truly excellent food. It doesn't come cheap but it's all attractively presented and extremely tasty. In particular I can recommend the smashed avocado on toast with feta and the sweet potato and chorizo hash. Both dishes were incredibly tasty and I could easily have polished off 2 plates of either. Staff were also friendly and accommodating, e.g. when I requested to substitute a fried egg for a poached egg. My only criticism is that it's a cash-only establishment, which I hate but I let it slide because a) there's an ATM nearby and b) the cafe is so good.

Coffees are excellent, sandwiches all super tasty and fresh every time, prices a bit steep though!

Great place with yum quality of food, good coffee and excellent service. My friend and I enjoyed all that over couple of hours (and a few coffees) the gorgeous weather was a bonus!

UPDATE 31-01-21 Jungle is operating as a takeaway only during the pandemic. It is entirely Covid secure, with a limited number of people in the shop at a time, screening between the counter and the public, hand sanitiser available, masks required. Once the order is placed, wait outside and it will be brought to you. The take away food menu is extensive and well cooked (see my photo). There is a good range of take away hot drinks. The service is as friendly as it ever was. It's good to support small local businesses in these difficult times ORIGINAL: A small, friendly, more up-market cafe/coffee bar/and licensed bar in the centre of Clitheroe. Run by the owners, service is fast, efficient and personable. The menu has a range of reasonably inexpensive dishes (including brunch served 9-3) to cater for most tastes - from bacon bap to smashed avocado with mango slices and feta cheese on sourdough bread. Although the extremely simple ‘just toast and marmalade’ wasn’t actually on the menu, they were ever so obliging in providing this, as I’m sure they would be with other requests if at all possible. Definitely a place to come back to.

A wet windy day walking and saw an advert for the Jungle shop offering various hot drinks. The place looked warm and welcoming. My mask on and inside the shop I ordered the drinks I was told 'cash only' ( a very small sign on the window I noticed as I left) given the current pandemic restrictions I was very surprised. I had to walk to the cash machine and felt very uneasy as the cash exchanged hands as they wore no gloves. Back outside I continued my walk and to my disappointment the drink was only luke warm and tasteless. What a disappointment!

The dishes could have come with bread instead of them being sides as an extra cost but the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were extremely accomodating, really recommend. Please note they take cash only.

Very friendly staff, homemade cakes, yummy food presented perfectly they also cater for vegans and is very clean. They take the covid precaution measures seriously. We had a lovely afternoon brunch & coffee thoroughly recommend it.

Living in Clitheroe, this has been the best foodie addition to the town! Who doesn’t want to eat delicious brunch food in lovely surroundings with super duper service!Favourites for me have to be their sesame eggs, the bacon is delicious also and always with a yummy iced latte!We walk past regularly with dogs too and often will grab a brew to takeaway - very handy and so much tastier than a brew from the bigger branded coffee shops!Ps. If you go in on a night - the salted caramel espresso martini is a must!!!

First visit to Clitheroe and found Jungle on our mooch round the town. Very warm welcome by the owner and excellent Covid hygiene procedures in place. I had sweet potato fritters with avocado and poached egg with spinach- absolutely delicious. My friend had sesame poached eggs with avocado on toast - lovely. Will definitely be visiting again and maybe sample the delicious cakes next time.

A warm welcome, food and drinks brilliant as always

Firstly the coffee is the by far the best I’ve had since leaving Australia. Perfect ratio and temperature, when I order a flat white, I get a flat white. Not a cappuccino or pot luck depending on who’s making it, every time it’s consistently perfect. I’d be a regular just for the coffee alone. There’s always a good choice on the menu including a lot of options that I wouldn’t attempt to make at home. It feels more of a treat to order something I wouldn’t have the time or motivation to bother to make for myself. I highly recommend the sweet potato and chorizo hash.. delicious! The staff are friendly and polite, the service is prompt and professional, the atmosphere cozy and relaxed. Fantastic all round. Love this place!!!

We love going to Jungle, the menu is full of creative dishes that are healthy and tasty. We’ve been a few times in the evening as well, I’d recommend an Amoretto Sour! The chef is also a bit of alright ;)

45 minute wait time for a flat bread and chickpea while waiting outside in the cold.

The quality of the food is really good. I suspect that everything is prepared individually so there is a little wait for the food but it is well worth the wait.

Came here for a coffee and didn't realise it was cash only. The guy was so nice about it and gave me the coffee for free. Not many places would do that these days. Food looked awesome too so will definitely be back 👍

Visited today with my daughter for drinks and sweet treats...really friendly, great service and thoroughly enjoyable. We’ll definitely visit again for a meal (we’d already eaten lunch but wished we’d been here instead!)
