Had a fantastic meal for our anniversary, the service was excellent - the staff really made sure everything was ok for us. We had the taster menu, would recommend as it was delicious. Will definitely be going back.

Spent a weekend with friends in this super pub. The check in was quick and the rooms are plenty big enough with a lovely bathroom where you are almost drowned in the shower! Great. Food in the restaurant was certainly well above pub food with eg. Venison and halibut on the menu. Service excellent by friendly staff. Even let my friend make his own coffee on the bar coffee machine. Definitely worth a visit.

An absolute gem, nestled in the heart of a charming village. Our party of 13 had the pleasure of staying this weekend. The pub is just lovely and the rooms are simply gorgeous. Comfortable super king beds and exquisite bathrooms complete with Molton Brown toiletries and robes. The food was just delicious. We chose from the a la carte menu on the Friday and on the Saturday we were treated to the Tasting Menu, complete with accompanying wine flight. The chef took time to discuss the menu with us to ensure that our group's wide ranging dietary requirements were accommodated. The service was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt that everyone went above and beyond to make our stay special. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend. We just loved it. We will be back.

The coach and horses, have only just began to host weddings, we were the first couple to book falling in love with the 11th century church nearby. We very quickly realised the Coach and Horses offered a beautiful backdrop for our reception but also offered exquisite rooms for our main party. The team led by Ramune are so welcoming and calming, Ian the chef takes so much pride in each dish and his knowledge in ingredients and presentation. I can confidently say each and every member of staff will go the extra mile to ensure your experience exceeds your expectations. Thankyou so much to you all for making our fairytale come true

We stayed as we were attending a family party at the Village Hall. I booked 3 rooms this was very easy and straightforward. Checking in was seamless. The rooms were beautiful and clean. We had no glasses in our room but i think this was an oversight as there was water in the fridge. I only realised when we got in late at night, so I just used a cup. Rooms were quiet and the bed was large and comfortable. There was a wide choice for breakfast and the staff were obliging and polite. Again checkout was seamless.i would definitely stay again .

I booked the Taster menu over night stay for my partners birthday. We really really enjoyed it. The staff were really accommodating a special Mention to the lady managing on the night she was superb and real dynamo and a credit to the business. The welcome , the ambience , the accommodation , the comfort , the staff , the food and drink , everything was first class , all in a pretty Lancashire village surrounded by lovely Bolton by Bowland countryside .

We went to The Coach & Horses for the tasting menu package. Arriving on the Saturday afternoon we were quickly and warmly welcomed and shown to our room where tea and coffee making facilities were accompanied with homemade cookies. The drinks in the bar prior to the meal were excellent - 4 Mice beer from their own micro brewery and a Hendricks G & T with the expected cucumber. The tasting menu was exquisite and paired well with the wine flight. Each course was absolutely delicious. Breakfast the day after included homemade granola and a choice of items ordered the night before to avoid food waste. A lovely night away. Thank you

This was where we had our wedding reception 56 years ago! Obviously it has changed significantly. We stayed for 4 wonderful nights. Everyone was professional but also friendly. The room we were in was warm, well decorated with the bath in the room as was the en suite. The food was excellentl. There was a good breakfast menu including the. usual traditional ‘English’ as well as scrambled egg and smoked salmon and several other exotic choices. The dinner menu was not extensive but interesting and beautifully cooked.

Lovely pub in a fantastic setting. Staff very attentive . We had the Saturday tasting menu which was excellent and good value for money I've taken a star off due to the atmosphere. The bar , which is small, was filled with locals which is brilliant as they are supporting a local business but they where incredibly loud and took over the place. This wouldn't be an issue in summer as there is a lovely garden area but in October it felt very claustrophobic In contrast the dining room was incredibly quiet but what I didn't like was being put on a table in the corner of the restaurant with a wall right in front of me, we just felt out of it. Saying that our accomnmodation (Mouse) was lovely and we will return but I would insist on a better table in the dining room in future

This restaurant/bar is located in a small village some distance from Clitheroe. We visited for Sunday Lunch in October 2023. We had booked in advance and were glad to have done so as it was quite busy. The restaurant is in a historic building but has had some modern refurbishment which makes it light and airy, without losing its charm. We were greeted warmly on arrival and offered a choice of two tables. Food and Drink Menus were brought immediately. We were left to consider the menus and after a short period, our server enquired whether we were ready to order drinks. We were! These were brought promptly and after a further short period, our server returned to take our food order. As one of our party has a gluten allergy, we were pleasantly surprised to find that they cater very well for intolerances. For STARTERS, my companion chose Braised Venison Ragu with pickled mushrooms. They pronounced the meat very tender and tasty, the mushrooms adding an interesting, slightly briny flavour. I chose a Starter of Prawn Cocktail, with lettuce, tomatoes and a Marie Rose sauce with toasted bread. The prawns were very fresh and plentiful, with the salad ingredients providing a complimentary crispness. For our MAINS Courses, my companion chose Roast Beef, with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, broccoli and seasonal vegetables. They described it as 'excellent', with the beef so tender that it just melted in the mouth. I chose the Pan Fried Mackerel, with new potatoes, red onion and spinach in a light but creamy sauce. It had a deliciously light and delicate flavour. For DESSERT, my companion chose a Blackberry and white chocolate cheesecake, with blackberry sorbet. They expressed it to be sublime - and not a morsel was left on the plate! I chose a simple vanilla ice cream, which was nonetheless very creamy and satisfying. We had fresh ground coffee to finish what had been a wonderful meal. The service was impeccable throughout. Highly recommended.

Stayed overnight on the Lazy Sunday offering. Lovely room (free upgrade from Blue to Mouse) a pleasant surprise on our 46th Wedding Anniversary. Roast beef was best we have ever tasted, literally melted in the mouth. Even though extremely busy service, staff were very attentive and friendly. Only disappointment was that no cooked breakfast on Monday mornings, which wasn't advertised on the Lazy Sunday offering. Overall very pleasant visit to an excellent establishment.

Excellent service and lovely food as usual. Tranquil atmosphere. Slightly disappointed to have a continental breakfast, which is a change since our last stay, but the breakfast was very good and understandable for them to make the change. Would definitely visit again.
