Very quaint pub, very nicely decorated

Great drinks, service & atmosphere.

Terrible service, rude staff, certainly wouldn’t recommend. Don’t even bother! No acknowledgment on arrival, other customers clearing their own tables. Rude staff when asked a question, sarcastic responses!

Fantastic looking inside and out friendly staff fantastic food and good prices

Went in last night for the first time. They had a DJ on who was absolutely fantastic and we all had the best time. Great atmosphere and would recommend to anyone. Will deffo visit again.

The Sycamore hosted my late dads wake on the 3rd March. The service and food were second to none. We were looked after by Louise and Scott at a very difficult time and the family are very grateful. Louise took into account what was important to us on the day and went the extra mile. We have had a few celebrations at The Sycamore in the past so their function room was the obvious choice for dad. Thank you, the family really appreciate what you did for us on dad's final gathering ❤️ xxx

Epic for atmosphere before the game

I have been here before and it was lovely, with lovely staff. Access: a massive step, but there are hand rails to haul yourself in if you are able. No disabled toilet. A bit cluttered inside, so it's hard to move around. We were here for Mild Magic, so enjoyed the Busman's Cherry by 4T's. It would have been lovely again if it hadn't have been for two people who told us off like naughty school children for swearing and, "didn't we know that this is a non swearing pub?" and "you are very lucky the landlord's not here because he would chuck you out". Actually, no, there was nothing to suggest that this was a no swearing pub that I could see. Anyway, while eavesdropping on our private conversation, they overheard some more language they did not like, so, aided by the bar staff, they made a huge song and dance about moving away from us. Maybe don't eavesdrop on other people's conversations. Also, don't complain about very mild bad language when you spend your time loudly bitching about every customer after they have gone. They made us feel very uncomfortable and the fact that the staff seemed supportive of them didn't help. However, we didn't make a huge drama out of it and once we'd finished our drinks, left for a pub that does not censor speech.

Great little bar in a central location. Fantastic selection of beers and spirts.

Called in for Breakfast, good food, reasonable price.

If you’re visiting, live nearby or just fancy a drive out somewhere, this place is so lovely to have a coffee, cake or breakfast/lunch like we did. It was such a nice day we decided to come here for some breakfast.. it was so delicious! The staff are super friendly and the food came quick. I even had some chocolate cake to take away and it was so delicious, proper Matilda cake if you have ever watched the original Matilda film! We will definitely be visiting here again! Lots to choose from off the menu and such a nice drop in if you’ve just been for a walk!
