Lord Nelson Kitchen in Wigan

My favourite pub in Hindley. Whenever I come from south Wales to visit family, we have the best of welcome in the Nelson. Great beers, amazing atmosphere and brilliant staff

Called in for a pint with a friend from Preston. It used to be the best pub in hindley. Still is.

Lovely peaceful establishment, staff where friendly and helpful a very clean, warm and relaxing atmosphere will definitely be returning at some point un the futcher...

Went to have a drink in the beer garden with my two very small well behaved dogs, when, I assume both the landlord and landlady, came running out of the pub, shouting....No dogs...No kids...!!! When I asked why..covid 19 was the reply....!!!!!

Went last Wednesday night with my partner got a drink and sat down. 5 minutes later a bloke came over ans put his fingers in my drink and walked off to the bar. I went and asked him why and the landlady started giving it the big this is my pub routine. She said he collects glasses to which i replied, what, full ones? Then she told us to get out. I admit a few swear words did come out my mouth but if she employs this man surely she should of apologised for his actions. Never again. No customer service skills whatsoever. Avoid

I have found this to be the least friendly pub in Hindley. Went in regularly for 2 years on a Wednesday evening. A very quiet night and got the impression not welcome for some reason. All other pubs in area far more welcoming and friendly.

shocking customer service came in to watch the cricket .the pub has four tvs they refused to put the commentry on in spite of my politie request .so from now on its the hare and hounds just up the road for me .a far better cheaper cleaner pub .

Esta vez probamos el sobresaliente sólo el pequeño pero era más grande que 4 onzas. Lo servían con huevo, patatas fritas y ensalada. Licitación sobresaliente y un huevo crudos con patatas fritas es un deber probarlo. Pero aquellos con un mayor apetito por los diez onzas sobresaliente se llena tu plato!

La comida es genial, Comí una ensalada de pollo Cajun, fue refrescante y muy sabroso. Es un buen lugar para tomar un aperitivo o una buena comida. Su promedio con la joya dorada pub de comida :).

Always bring my children weekly , they asked to come every week on a Monday and always , have the combo for two and I have the awesome black pudding starter, which is ten out of ten and I know the sauce can not be matched , even IN the so called higher end restaurants in the northwest😋 all mains are very tasty and made to a high standard , staff are very approachable and friendly and food is very reasonably priced for the quality of the food served , a complete joy and ten out ten for atmosphere and service and we visit regularly and will do for the foreseeable future !!!!!

Have had quite a few meals here and not one has disappointed us.Cooked from scratch the food is excellent. Had a few Lasagnes in my life but the Nelson is the one to beat.Excellent value and great food

Eat here quite often. The cajun ultimate burger is fantastic. Lovely chef, really friendly. Defo worth a visit to see for yourself

We have eaten here a few times and the foods always amazing with a great choice. Nothing's to much trouble and the foods cooked from scratch. Would recommend if your in the area.

Great food and excellent service given by a lovely couple who clearly enjoy providing good food and a friendly service. My family have eaten here several times and we do not have a bad word to say ... I would thoroughly recommend that you visit the lord nelson kitchen for a place to eat and drink!

The food at the Lord Nelson is fantastic,the variety great,I had the combo for a starter it was very good,Vicky and David who run the kitchen are great chef's,you must try it....

Suberb home cooked food. Lovely couple. Dine there at least once a week. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Great prices 💖💖💖

I've been here a few times for food. The quality of food is amazing, especially the black pudding starter with homemade peppercorn sauce. This is to die for. If you're in the area then this is a must. Fab food, fab service and fab prices
