Nice pub great bands but the beer lately has not been good .last week we had to take a pint back as it tasted funny and my partner and I was ill after 2 pints in there as a long time bar person it was not up to standard

perfect for a night in when you can't get out, fabulous cocktails and value for money, thanks guys cheers

Literally, the best pub in Atherton if not the North-West. Live acts on every Friday and Saturday. Real ales. Widest selection of spirits in town. Dog friendly. Family friendly in the day. Cocktails. There's definitely something for everyone. We was in today (Thursday) for the pub quiz. There was a great atmosphere and lots of banter between teams. Interactive duck racing for cash prizes had everyone up cheering. Great night

Lovely little pub in atherton BUT Diet Coke is never available on tap so have to pay £2.50 for a CAN of Diet Coke which has multipack all over can so obviously bought from Tesco across road at 50p a can ( multipack ) . Terrible price and Shame on you for price hiking on mixers !!!!

A cosy locals bar in Atherton tucked away in the town centre with a nice range of real ales and friendly staff. It even has a pinball machine and bright conservatory. A pleasant place to be for a chat with friends and pint.

Had a very nice pint of 'Quench' served by a friendly smiling barmaid. Would recommend. Nice place for a relaxing afternoon pint on a rainy day. Nice music especially Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys 🙂🙂

The music was so loud we got up and left and before you all say its ment to be like that its not Really sad as 4 men left and spent our money elsewhere

The landlord really needs to sort the staff, a little more training wouldn't go amiss. Went here for a worthwhile fundraiser but won't be returning in the near future.

Pre COVID "As always, a good selection of ales,and well kept. Reasonably priced too!! A really good pub. My only criticism is the music does get too loud at busy times, also it is a real shame they don't serve food in the evenings otherwise I would go there more often. 👍".... UPDATE. had a bit of in internal update and change of management, but less choice if beers. I only called in for one pint, but it was not great. It wasn't exactly off, but it was slightly cloudy and tasted as if it was past it's best. 😏

had a great time here with my missis.played darts .drank beer and rum met a lovely couple called Sarah and lynol and a dude called Steve,no bother no idiots just good times thanks everyone you made are Day.

Visited with friends on a pub crawl. Not been for a while and remember it as a decent little watering hole but what on earth have you done to the decor? It looks like the entire place has been done up in left over battleship grey paint. Not very welcoming at all.

What a crowd. My band, Deal With the Preacher played there. What a reception. The staff were really good too. Great night.

Changed hands since I was last in here. The decor is more akin to a wine bar but tasteful. The pool table and dartboard look top notch and there is now the addition of a pinball machine. The beers are typical moorehouses, with the ipa being a welcome addition. Oddest addition to the drinks repertoire was collider. A cider/cola combo which my son tried. It tasted like coke with vinegar if I'm honest. Overall, still a great local. Surprisingly empty on a Saturday afternoon.

This is a really fab place great food,cocktails,and staff were great too.i will definitely be returning. We went in the afternoon but I will return to see the evening time.

Just had an amazing Mother’s Day Sunday lunch with my daughter and little dog, food was fresh and tasty, they even gave my dog a bowl of chicken! Friendly, efficient service, fab prices and great atmosphere, will 100% be back soon.

In its previous life this was a really well run pub... but now! .. staff (in December) all appeared to be training each other... Unable to find the right glasses, work the till, find the Gin bottle etc .. Hopefully will improve

After visiting Atherton on Friday evening, 24 January 2020, my partner and I decided, thanks to the excellent food reviews, that we would give this place a try. Whenever we've been in the area, we have eaten elsewhere, so this was going to be a change. When we finally found it and walked in, we were told that they "don't serve food and haven't done for ages"! Please can somebody advise why it is still advertised on here as serving food? We were in a hurry and, not knowing the area very well, we had to quickly look around for somewhere else to eat in a short time.

Popped in for a quick pint before football as enjoy Moorhouse beers,Excellent quality , good range of beer , good prices.and ready made cobs which were excellent. Went back afterwards and had the best roast dinner I have had in ages. Fantastic quality , large portion and great price . Pub was busy with good mix of locals, Excellent Jukebox , great service from all staff. Will definitley re-visit when in area, .

Really nice Sunday lunch/dinner here. Choice of chicken or roast beef. Also have a choice of around six real ales and cold rolls available most of the time.

Visited for lunch and had the Roast beef. Servings are huge and very well cooked. Great range of cask beers plus cask cider and plenty of keg beers to choose from.

Great little pub, always a good selection of reasonably priced ales,ciders and guests beers on the bar. Moorhouses premier being my favourite. Quiz nights on a Thursday and Sunday are busy and they also do an excellent Sunday roast on most Sundays. Nice selection of bar snacks and pies (during the day) on offer too. Worth a visit.

This pub is a one off it serves traditional ales and they have a good variety. It is clean and staff are nice.

Used to really like this pub but has gone down hill. Selection of beers is not as good, staff not as friendly and not clean. Not very welcoming anymore we just had one pint that didn't taste clean and fresh and we left.

Popped in here with the wife for a quick drink for the first time in ages. Not sure when this place had a refurb but I prefer the pub as it used to be when it had character. Think they've tried to turn it from a traditional locals pub into something more modern that does food.
