I’ve had the pleasure of tasting a few of the mouth watering treats for here. The jam and cream scones are gorgeous, so light and fluffy, and the cheese scones are rich and tasty. My personal favourite is biscoff and white chocolate cookie pie. Warmed in the microwave for a few seconds at home, with a cup of tea is my idea of heaven! The staff are fantastic and always go above and beyond. Well worth a trip. You will not be disappointed

Fantastic little play cafe. We absolutely love bringing our little girl here, we come at least once a week. The play area is great, the staff are lovely and the food is lush. Lovely friendly warm atmosphere. Love that you book online and know sessions aren't going to be overcrowded and that the deposit is redeemable against food and drinks. We had our little girls first birthday here and couldn't fault it. Lizzie x

Hemos visitado el Queen's Café con bastante regularidad y la calidad del pescado con papas fritas es excelente. Después de comer pescado con papas fritas en la mayoría de los lugares costeros a lo largo de la costa, incluido el muelle de peces de North Shields, The Queen's Café se destaca por encima del resto como uno de los lugares de obligada prueba. Pescado fresco, en escamas y papas fritas crujientes cocinadas en carne de res. El personal tiene ese servicio al cliente que solo tienes que experimentar, de primera clase. Huelga decir que este es nuestro café favorito, recomendado por dos expertos!

I love this place the food is delicious and always piping hot when it is served to you. They cater for small and large groups and nothing is any trouble for the staff.

The whipped large ice creams in plain cones were tasteless & in my opinion overpriced due to this. I’d not recommend it for a whipped ice cream. Save your money. There are better quality ice creams in and around for £2.50.

Sé que esta reseña está bajo claceys, pero eso se debe a que los nuevos propietarios, Oscar’s no están en la lista. Siempre venía aquí a tomar un café, así que pensamos en darles un giro a los nuevos propietarios. Gran error. Atrás quedaron la mayoría de los muebles blandos y se reemplazaron con mesas y sillas de metal baratas cubiertas con cubiertas de mesa de plástico de 1980. El viejo estilo de café no ha vuelto y debe dejarse en los años 80 donde pertenece. Nos sentamos y pedimos del mostrador 2 café con leche, 2 tostadas y un pastel de té tostado. Tienes que ir al mostrador, no vienen a ti. Las bebidas y la comida llegaron bastante rápido y muchacho nos gustaría que no lo hiciera. El café estaba al rojo vivo, no como un café con leche debería ser y tan fuerte que podías parar tu cuchara en él. Tampoco una buena mezcla de café. Ambos cafés se dejaron después de un sorbo. La torta de té tostada se quemó hasta quedar crujiente y muy seca. Las tostadas estaban bien, pero realmente no puedes equivocarte con una rebanada de tostada a menos que sea bajo la parrilla con el pastel de té. No volverá por más, una vez quemado y todo eso.

Tuvimos la tarde molesta de mosto fue a café Romero en Searoad con mi mamá nieta que tiene 8 años y nieto que tiene 2 hoy, mi nieto tiene necesidades especiales y autismo, pedimos nuestra comida y mientras esperábamos tuvo un poco de derretimiento en la trona , el dueño del café se paró en medio del café gritando con los brazos levantados a la gente tratando de comer las cenas en paz agresivamente, pasé a decir lo siento pero él es autista me contestó que bien hizo algo con él ponlo de rodillas le dije que eso no funciona, la señora que trabajaba con él dijo que tenía hijos él mismo como ese que uno pensaría que entendería mejor ?? Entonces me dijeron que lo sacara. No puedo creer que en esta época las personas o todavía tienen tanta ignorancia y comprensión del autismo mi hijo que ahora tiene 24 años fue tratado igual hace todos esos años Estoy tan molesto y enojado por toda la situación

Great atmosphere and friendly staff, massive range to choose from. we took our dog and he was spoilt rotten with treats and strokes. Will most definitely return.

We were visiting the area , so popped in for coffee and cake one day and decided to go back for breakfast the next . Staff do a great job, in particular Lauren who was particularly concerned about why we chose not to have toast with breakfast . If it was for gluten, the veggie sausages we wanted contained gluten. However it was because of another allergy , Bakers' yeast , to which Lauren was keen to know more for future reference . Breakfast -Veggie- was delicious and well presented . The scrambled eggs I had were made with vegan butter and so tasty ! The ambience is bright and airy, with comfortable seating and the whole place was very clean and tidy . Toilet facilities are in the main STACK building , which was the only complaint as it's a wee trek to get to them .

On a dog walk my friend and I decided to stop for a drink. I was impressed that there were plant based milks available. My dog was happy as he had a sausage. My hot chocolate (with oat milk) was nice and I enjoyed the view. The place is ideal if you’re near the beach and want to sit with a cuppa.
